The disappearing hotel was one of my biggest inspirations when I was young! I used to love (and still do) all things creepy. I re-wrote the story so many times, re-enacted it with my siblings and wrote ghost stories inspired by it- it was awesome! Thank you so much for uploading this and allowing me to relive my childhood!! =)
I've come across it too, also in France, similar story with 4 witnesses. Number of problems with the story though. Did they pre-book the hotel, if so how? If not why not? How did they pay the bill with modern currency? Why weren't the staff astonished by the site of a modern handheld camera? What happened to the bill? Was there ever a hotel on the site? Conveniently no photos to back up the story....
I remember this, the vanishing hotel story freaked me out when I first saw it although that last one with the floating vacuum cleaner was fairly obvious to me.
So was the one with the cola and newspaper, it is obvious, somebody brought a can of cola and a newspaper, went to visit the graveyard (because maybe one of their freinds or family members had died), put it down or dropped it, forgot about it and went home.
This hotel episode. Been stuck in my mind since watched it. But I actually thought the couple was younger when I was telling my partner we just watched it and still want to know what it was all about.
Why did the hotel guests give permission to have their photos taken, instead of asking "What's a photo?" from that time period photography should have been in it's early stages at the very least.
Think they were staff rather than guests. Photography has existed since at least 1835 and was quite popular by the 1850s though not cheap. Having your picture taken though would happen in a photography studio given the amount of light needed and the need to sit still for several minutes so yes a small handheld camera would have been pretty amazing back then.
The Cooper couple story is near identical to the story of Len and Cynthia Gisby and Geoff and Pauline Simpson who also claimed they stayed in a French hotel with old fashioned furnishings, a meal that was super cheap, saw staff in period costumes, took photos that vanished and couldn't find it again....
Wait what? Shelley Blond was one of the hosts for this show? SERIOUSLY?? OMG I AM NERDING OUT!!! It's funny, too, that this is the only episode I can actually remember.
What is the answer to the question at 14:07? I think it's either "space" by emptying the bag,or helium balloon, since helium is lighter than the air itself.
story about hotel like this is in france is very similar in a. episode in strange but true episode went in time snd could not find hotel again but older couple with group of friends
The hotel story! I'm another who remembered this story the most. I'm so glad to have found it here. The show is one big nostalgia trip!

The main hole in the story is how would they have payed the bill with modern money?
Also the sight a woman in trousers would have been unbelievable to 19th century rural France.
This is the one I remembered and was talking about to my partner Glad we got to 're see it.
Ahhh this story of the hotel stuck with me for so long! I’m so glad I found this episode
It's like Lara Croft talking :D :3

They just wanted her bag I guess

Yes, similar details, set in France, photos didn't develop, bill cost very little, hotel seemed to vanish. Same holes in the story too though.
I wanna stay in that hotel :D hah
PLease upload more with lara croft!!!
Do you happen to have anymore clips/episodes of this show?
It's Lara Croft
I think some other visiter left the can of cola and newspaper because they either forgot it or dropped it.
