In my experience from playing casual games that get turned into competition based games, it loses majority of its fan base. When a game gets developed into a competitive based game, adding things like Elo, ranked rewards and custom titles based on where you place at the end of each season. The casual players stop playing, and then it becomes a solely competitive player based game. As someone who is a casual racer, I wouldn't play ranked Grand Races. It doesn't happen to ALL games that become competitive, I know. Edit: I'm not saying they shouldn't add ranked or an official competitive side to the game. I just worry that the game will lose a lot of casual players, therefore making this game basically competitive players only.
It definitely shouldn't be the main focus and a casual player shouldn't feel pressured or pushed to be competitive if they don't want to be. But for the longest time in arcade racing games, competitive players do get the short end of the stick much more than casual players do. So it would be to nice to have a bit of both with more/better competition for competitive players but without ruining or distracting from the casual experience. The challenge will be balancing that. Small changes at a time and test players reception to it rather than major changes which might turn out to be regretful later on. Also side note. Some of the things competitive players care most about (i.e. game optimization and smooth fps) will benefit the casual player experience also if it's improved.
I get your concern however all the current modes will still be there, you will still have grand races they would just be adding a separate ranked grand race with the system in place for it only. Having something to work towards is needed, there is nothing "exclusive" anymore the whole fomo wave has ruined it.
They will never do this. We've been asking for this since the crew 2 released. They know it's bs and they don't care, they've went on record saying "it's part of the challenge". As if competing with 10k other positions in summit isn't challenging enough.
@@Batman_83 the ony problem with traffic is the fact that they'll increase their spawns near sharp or fast corners or around blind curves which makes them frustrating AF. There's also the fact that they never react to you or try to swerve away from you...they're just dumb fodder 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️

I know I am dreaming: Give the Crew 2 a Motorfest refresh. Imagine the driving physics, better roads landscape realism, lighting etc we have in Motorfest currently in The Crew 2...I would probably never get off. I loved driving that map to different cites. The crazy part I was late to the party with The Crew games I only bought it two years ago because I live in Vegas and I wanted to drive through Vegas in the game. Imagine a Cannonball or Gumball3000 cross country race complete with cops, meet ups and and having to stop for gas, That would be crazy
I aslo dislike how the current car show is now, u can no longer vote for your car every day like before, this voting system makes noo sense, ive seen people get 1 or 2 likes more than someone else and still end up gold while the other person with fewer likes hit platinum 🤦🏿♂️
Preach! I'm very optimistic, the game is roughly a year old and they show their dedication to add new content. But QoL changes are in my opinion the most important! The systems you interact with daily need to feel good. Menu's aren't the best and navigating between them as well as the keybinds for some of them. And yeah performance could always use some work, on my PS5 it runs fairly smooth with the occassional stutters and framedrops (lately more than usual).

Great video with a loot of good ideas and suggestions but I would also like to add these improvements as well: -Make the cars more grounded and wayy less floaty physics wise. This is honestly the main reason why most cars feel like boats that don't turn fully when they're supposed to. Hell, even if you brake correctly theres still a chance that you can still go off road or hit a corner wall because of the floaty physics -Increase the steering response on standard steering and remove the built in controller deadzone. This could help mitigate the cars not responding fully when you really need them to & Whoever thought that putting in a built in controller deadzone was a good idea should be Fucking Fired! 🗣️🗣️🗣️ -Remove being kicked outnfor inactivity. Of im in the menu then i should just stay there instead of being kicked out. -Other Pvp modes like Hide and Seek, Cops vs Crooks(like Hot Pursuit Did), Regular Races, Car Meet's, Free roam challenges where everybody gets together to do said challenges and they can earn credits or Main Stage Prize Tickets Etc. Free roam intercepts where you can stop or escort a truck to its destination or something like that
Interesting ideas, also the point you made about the steering response they already added settings for that. The update they added direct mode they added a sensitivity slider and a max lock slider (so if directmode isn't your thing try those out).

Update the crew 2 with better physics, graphics, lighting etc like motorfest. If the crew 2 looked and drove as good as motorfest I think it would blow everything else away.
#1 above all I would say optimization in the department of crewing up with friends. 2 player crews work, 3 & 4 player crews still have players randomly being kicked out. Also working rearview mirrors would be nice 👀

Some kind of online tournaments where you play 4 different disciplines (street race, drift, drag and off road for example) some of the types of races arent used enough. Increase legendary points or at least add a new bucks/legend+2 or something
On point. All are valid points that should be adressed sooner or later. One thing I would like to see is a measurement on leaderboard scores if it's done alone or in a crew. Since some tracks are heavily reliant on top speed I never have a sense of what times are possible as a solo driver... They should separate times for solo and crew players.... this would also apply to summits!!

I've spoke to ubisoft about some of these stuff before especially for crossplay across all platforms, and it's not like they aren't aware or not willing to do it they mention that they don't have enough resources to make it stable enough.
The Doc list is perfect 👍🏻 Instant challenge racer in free roam is the one for me & more online pvp options besides GR ! We need more clothing options (socks, shoes, shorts, headwear, watches etc) and character customization (hair styles , body type , height , etc) We should have our own Homes of course but we should be able to customize it. After that we got the best free roam racer game ever made 😆
Parts…everything about them…need to be fixed. Street Tier 1 and 2 need to be separated. I promise you no one is using Street Tier 1 parts on there tier 2 car. Also, The RNG needs to be reconfigured and take into consideration the parts you have. There’s no reason I should get 5 legendary Treasure Sniffer exhaust parts when I already have a Legendary Treasure Sniffer exhaust in my collection. Im still missing one Rally part (have been for a year) because the system is trash. It’s a treasure sniffer and I don’t care about that all, but in all the Rally events / Grand Races I’ve done in the last year, still never rolled the last part. Same with Affixes that you roll. It should cycle through them at random but not so randomly that I have to roll 50 times to get one affix. Basically, if there are 20 possible affixes, you should have to roll no more than 20 times to get the one you want before you cycle back around. Add a complete legendary set to the Main Stage. It doesn’t need to be a Summit reward, just a main stage. Shit, make it a reward for hitting level 50 or 100 for the month. Or maybe, just maybe, let me buy my parts from a parts store with my spare parts. I have over 2 million spare parts and have spent hours rolling affixes and scrapping. Just let us buy the goddamn parts we need. Make them expensive, like 100,000 for a legendary part, I don’t care. Just give me some way to have control over my parts! Way too much RNG in this game. And lastly, organization. It’s atrocious. We need to be able to organize our parts, put them in the order we want and lock the ones we want to keep. I’m tired of opening up my upgrades tab and having nearly 50 Legendary Parts I need to sort through to make sure I’m not deleting something useful. It’s awful…
This is more important than ghost start imo! Ghosting non starters would already be dope. I prefer the no ghost version like now. I'm having fun catching up from behind. Ghosting would make META even stronger and Grand Races less fun to me.
Bring back Stories Community Races/Race Creator Play Grand Races against Bots when offline mode drops. Move the street variant of Motocross bikes to Rallycross,.

For the casual gamers PLATINUM should be Top 15000 because all 6 races and feats you get 100,000 pts per race but still get silver at the last minute. And also good rewards
Summit platinum being top 10k is more than enough, it doesn't need to be raised. Get parts, affix them correctly, optimize your races with the lines you take, better nos management etc. Doing this alone will easily get you way above the ranks.
Bring houses back give the ability to purchase house and upgrade I would also like to have the ability to have your avatar do more like in the house. It would also be cool to have avatar and car meet ups. Motorfest is in the position right now that with the right additions they could totally crush alot of other racing games completely. As is I play this game for hours a day and can only imagine if they made the additions that some of you and Simgii mentioned
Dear Ubisoft, if you read this I would like to highlight prestige tickets. Removing fomo is understandable, however it negates point of the summit being exclusive. Instead I believe earning prestige tickets should be earnt in the summit at platinum rank or higher. Not only does this mean anyone can still get the previous summit rewards in year 2 while still requiring effort, time and skill, it will also make them easier to obtain later in motorfest's later years. I think many would appreciate this change, Samuel.
Agree with everything. All they need to do as far as more PvP modes go is to look back at the PvP game modes in the Crew 1. Blitz brawl, Infected, Elimination (lap knockout), and Crown event. Literally just implement these modes into the Motorfest PvP, please. The Hoonigan HQ or either some of the airport strips on the map would be perfect for these modes. I’ve been waiting for these modes to return since The Crew 2, bring them back! Also, we have a race track. We should be able to race on it in PvP.
The optimizations you mentioned in the first point is massive, that "Player is now online" message has been annoying me since the start of the game especially with the spam and stutters. I hope these features can all get added in the future!
there are 3 stages to Grand Race and I would like to see them limit resets to 3-5 per game. I do like seeing people manipulate resetting like 100X during a single race. Tts obvious when you are racing and the person ahead of is glitching all over the road resetting repeatedly. I refuse to join that practice I just want to race. I also think their need it be a slow down penalty like a quarter to a half second when people are ramming . I feel if you are penalized and slowed that eventually you will stop and ramming and drive better
Fix the uplay connect overlay, everytime I open it while in game to try and join a friend's game the overlay freezes and will not leave the screen covering half the screen even while playing the game without a restart.
I had this problem and our friends and I fixed by just disabling the overlay but it seems that it makes joining group a lot more difficult because it bugs out and usually kicks us from the group.
Good video, tbh tho, removing slow shifting entirely would be better, clutch with macros is always going to be more consistent than someone actually clicking a button to use clutch and another thing would be to remove the direct mode deadzone so people can have actual 1:1 steering, another thing that is limited to wheel users and pc
They never done this, i guess. For me its fine when they just add more competitive cars so theres more variety, but classes like Drift, Racing, Rally/Raid are totally boring since the meta are 1-2 cars that 90% of ppl are using...

Ranked GRs would be a separate mode, you would still have all the current modes, they would just add a new ranked mode with the elo system in place for ranked only.
I think the same, we asked for matchmaking aswell, so far both ideas didn't get adressed. For example finishers get grouped with other finishers & DNF people get together with others, so it gets more thrilling for everyone. If you improve, you get into stronger lobby again.
I would like to see - and I've been vocal about this on the CM's twitter account - is the countdown timer at the end of grand races extended to 2 minutes instead of 30 seconds. I like grand races but I'm unless I'm doing the more off road stuff I don't finish them in time, extend the time so that people like me can finish, doing this I think will stop the people who just join the race and don't race, they just sit there waiting for the race to end, make it longer before the race ends unless you cross the finish line so people have to race and aren't waiting around forever

Also, pc players are the actual rammers, but blaming it on Dsync. Been saying it from day one, crossplay should only be amongst consoles. PC has become a cancer to online gaming. Hint: GTA & COD!

You can sort based on vehicle class. Its the best i can recommend. It puts each class into different columns

And lastly, organization. It’s atrocious. We need to be able to organize our parts, put them in the order we want and lock the ones we want to keep. I’m tired of opening up my upgrades tab and having nearly 50 Legendary Parts I need to sort through to make sure I’m not deleting something useful. It’s awful…

This is more important than ghost start imo! Ghosting non starters would already be dope. I prefer the no ghost version like now. I'm having fun catching up from behind. Ghosting would make META even stronger and Grand Races less fun to me.

it is called the summit CONTEST. it is not supposed to be casual. also u will get all the rewards starting next season with prestige tokens
Summit platinum being top 10k is more than enough, it doesn't need to be raised. Get parts, affix them correctly, optimize your races with the lines you take, better nos management etc. Doing this alone will easily get you way above the ranks.

Bring houses back give the ability to purchase house and upgrade I would also like to have the ability to have your avatar do more like in the house. It would also be cool to have avatar and car meet ups. Motorfest is in the position right now that with the right additions they could totally crush alot of other racing games completely. As is I play this game for hours a day and can only imagine if they made the additions that some of you and Simgii mentioned

Dear Ubisoft, if you read this I would like to highlight prestige tickets. Removing fomo is understandable, however it negates point of the summit being exclusive. Instead I believe earning prestige tickets should be earnt in the summit at platinum rank or higher. Not only does this mean anyone can still get the previous summit rewards in year 2 while still requiring effort, time and skill, it will also make them easier to obtain later in motorfest's

Agree with everything. All they need to do as far as more PvP modes go is to look back at the PvP game modes in the Crew 1. Blitz brawl, Infected, Elimination (lap knockout), and Crown event. Literally just implement these modes into the Motorfest PvP, please. The Hoonigan HQ or either some of the airport strips on the map would be perfect for these modes. I’ve been waiting for these modes to return since The Crew 2, bring them back! Also, we have a race track. We should be able to race on it in PvP.

The optimizations you mentioned in the first point is massive, that "Player is now online" message has been annoying me since the start of the game especially with the spam and stutters. I hope these features can all get added in the future!

there are 3 stages to Grand Race and I would like to see them limit resets to 3-5 per game. I do like seeing people manipulate resetting like 100X during a single race. Tts obvious when you are racing and the person ahead of is glitching all over the road resetting repeatedly. I refuse to join that practice I just want to race. I also think their need it be a slow down penalty like a quarter to a half second when people are ramming . I feel if you are penalized and slowed that eventually you will stop and ramming and drive better

Fix the uplay connect overlay, everytime I open it while in game to try and join a friend's game the overlay freezes and will not leave the screen covering half the screen even while playing the game without a restart.
I had this problem and our friends and I fixed by just disabling the overlay but it seems that it makes joining group a lot more difficult because it bugs out and usually kicks us from the group.

i guess performance varies greatly from person to person. i run a 4080 and play on 1440p all maxed out without stutters and stable 60 fps 🤔

Good video, tbh tho, removing slow shifting entirely would be better, clutch with macros is always going to be more consistent than someone actually clicking a button to use clutch and another thing would be to remove the direct mode deadzone so people can have actual 1:1 steering, another thing that is limited to wheel users and pc
That or a sequential clutch transmission (no binding needed) so if people want "realism" they can still have slow shifting.

Ranked GRs would be a separate mode, you would still have all the current modes, they would just add a new ranked mode with the elo system in place for ranked only.
I think the same, we asked for matchmaking aswell, so far both ideas didn't get adressed. For example finishers get grouped with other finishers & DNF people get together with others, so it gets more thrilling for everyone. If you improve, you get into stronger lobby again.

I would like to see - and I've been vocal about this on the CM's twitter account - is the countdown timer at the end of grand races extended to 2 minutes instead of 30 seconds. I like grand races but I'm unless I'm doing the more off road stuff I don't finish them in time, extend the time so that people like me can finish, doing this I think will stop the people who just join the race and don't race, they just sit there waiting for the race to end, make it longer before the race ends unless you cross the finish line so people have to race and aren't waiting around forever
The countdown is 50 seconds from when first place finishes, I think that is more than enough time.

What’s up Simgii! I doubt this applies to you but Cheating PC Players has become a hidden problem. Pc players with 3rd party apps to give them huge advantages. Also, pc players are the actual rammers, but blaming it on Dsync. Been saying it from day one, crossplay should only be amongst consoles. PC has become a cancer to online gaming. Hint: GTA & COD!

I'm very optimistic, the game is roughly a year old and they show their dedication to add new content. But QoL changes are in my opinion the most important! The systems you interact with daily need to feel good. Menu's aren't the best and navigating between them as well as the keybinds for some of them.
And yeah performance could always use some work, on my PS5 it runs fairly smooth with the occassional stutters and framedrops (lately more than usual).
