Of course it was many years ago, I don't reveal my age. I was a bartender there for about a year, It was a time when the drug problem was barely noticed. Sadly it's now taken over America.
@bjkjoseph it's Penalized Heavily OUTSIDE of Safe Zones, places that Allow hard drugs to be consumed within and stay within those compounds... other then that they would be JAILED immediately for possession or Distribution...
And those N.Y. Staten Island people like pointing the finger at , Brooklyn , Bronx people when it comes down to drug bust . They say , that's were all the drugs are coming . I quest , they won't voting republican any more .
Oh stop projecting. Anyone with any common sense knows staten lsland isnt the problem. You would have to have a mental disorder to choose to live in the bronx these days.
I’m sure the Forgotten Borough is wishing to be an afterthought now. Just like The Bronx is more than E. 149th St, Staten Island is more than Hylan Blvd/Richmond Ave.
@@rachelbrooks3586 - Do you mean Housing Projects when you say "SI got 'hoods' just like every other borough"? Or are you making a reference to the different neighborhoods? I've always felt safe living on SI. I found that safety knowing I was being raised by one NYC Detective. Just once, I felt unsafe, when Lorraine Pacifico was murdered by Keith Viscio {not sure on the spelling of the last name}. Her little body was found under the Oakwood Train Station & her murderer was friends with one of her brothers. Every 2 years, one of the brothers puts up a petition to block his request for parole. The brother prints the entire petition, with pages of requests, from all over the World, to keep that sub-human {I refuse to call him an animal as that's an insult to the amazing animal life that inhabit this planet with us}. in prison until the day he dies. I know he'd go to the Parole Board and with a heavy hand, slam that stack of papers to make an unforgettably loud band. Very effective to show the gravity of keeping him from ever living outside of prison.
Obviously you don't live on SI. Not EVERYONE is a druggie. That is unless you feel slandering those who are not using drugs is acceptable. Oh wait, slander is a crime. More appropriate to say, "There are druggies in America, in every State, City, County/Borough/Parrish {same concept, different names in each state}. If your statement was true, explain how there are cops, firefighters, sanitation workers, teachers, nuns, priests, rabbis, babies, toddlers, school age children, oh the list goes on, who are NOT druggies?
Every news channel like this Complete Bull News {CBS} is stating a different number of counts. I've heard the 61, another it was 15, another unsure just stated pending numerous. How can we believe things if no one can tell the truth?
Sorry for your loss. However, if that's what you think, instead of making a matter of fact statement, perhaps you should take yourself to the DA's office with concrete proof of such a malicious allegation. Additionally, addicts are the ones responsible for their actions. Did "they" force the drugs down your brother throat or stick that needle in his arm? . Again if "they" did, please go to the DA & provide concrete irrefutable proof.
Sounds like this was a pretty big money operation $5 million bond
Yo that's Dock Street! The place used to be a music venue in the basement. Played there 3 times in the past!

So where is Santos going to get his drugs now ?
Stay classy, humanity.
You can't Arrest you way out of a business that sells itself, only REGULATE it to a Degree...
Heroin, cocaine and fentanyl throws a wrench into things when it comes to legalizing drugs
