Thank you all so much for sharing your journey of land buying l, and some of the practical details. For example if wanting to build multigenerational homes on the land, some of the particulars, and some of the many other challenges. I didn’t know about many of these things, and it’s helpful to know in advance. May the Father bless your journey and family.

We bought 40 acres this summer with my in laws and brother in law and his family. We all will be building houses on it! We currently live in a 5th wheel on our land after working all summer to get electricity and a well. We start building in spring and I am so excited! It’s fun watching your progress since it’s such a similar situation. (We also have three young daughters 😂)

Thats what happened to us didn't realize we didn't have cell reception until right before closing and we had to switch to another carrier.

I am interested in knowing how the financing work then if you only purchased one acre your parents have the house and stuff that's way more expensive.

Have you put plans into place for when your parents pass away? Do you both have siblings? Would they want a portion of the property? I'm sure you're excited to finally move in and enjoy your home.

Very informative and thorough. Lots to consider, but you seem to have succeeded at the endeavor. With all that you both seem to have weathered the experience and seem content and glowing with positivity. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄

Also for some state and counties lands are not dividable but Also can only be divided in certain amount of acres each that’s how it is on Oregon.

We hope to do this for our family one day as well… when we have talked to realtors in the past they have said one party should buy the property then split it later was just curious is that how you did it or was all 6 adults on the loan if that makes sense?

One party on the loan is definitely the best way to go! ☺️
