For real. Though at the time Verstael wasn't that insane. He got a lot worse down the line. The gods only did what they could do. The Astrals are not all-powerful. That was the only way they found to save the world. Bahamut even got to the point of telling Ardyn of his plans, something he had no obligation of doing.
Ardyn is more a victim of fate than a evil man. At the slightest bit of moral uplift, he could've become allies with Noctis and company, but after so many stabs in the back and unwanted burdens, you could understand just what pushed him over the edge.

@@SilverHunterN I actually fought Regis with the santa hat, simply just for how hilarious that would look. I really didn't care about the stats boost it would give me.
Ardyn is the devil, he's not Jesus. Only Jesus is Jesus. This game does mock Jesus though but Jesus never would do anything evil like the enemy and he never has done any evil and never will. Jesus whom is the one and only true God and Creator came to earth 2000+ years ago to go to the cross to pay our sin debt in full. His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death and that true and only God is JESUS! And He did all that because He loves us and wants to save us and have a relationship with us. Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him, He's the only way to Heaven, only He can save us from sin and from hell ( John 14, Romans 6:23, Luke 13:3). He won't cast you away from Himself if you come to Him. He calls us all to repentance, He loves us and wants to save us. believe and have faith in God then the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit (John 3:3-19).

I mean, for example, Skyrim was supposed to have an active civil war with large cities and it came out a disappointment but its still on my top games. My point here is, there are no perfect games. Every video game has its fair share of flaws and if you enjoyed it even with its flaws, then its a damn good game
Bahamut is not all-powerful, I think if he could end the Starscourge without doing what he did to Ardyn and Noctis, he would have did it. It's not that Bahamut is evil, it's just the only way he and the other Astrals found to save the world from the Starscourge.
@@Aomegeus Gods always seem to choose humans/mortals to champion them in almost every mythology both irl and works of fiction I always wonder why that is What can a mortal being do that a deity cannot?
This is the Verstael we should have gotten in the original game. He is quite competent and can't help but think he played a role in shaping current Ardyn who was vulnerable physically as well as mentally from his long imprisonment. He definitely manipulated Ardyn when before we thought Ardyn manipulated everyone in the empire. He could have easily made an interesting final villain himself if he was portrayed like this consistently. That computer summarized the history and lore of the game pretty well, like it makes you think why wasn't it so simple in the base game. I swore Ifrt was killed on Ravetough, but was just slumbering, found and put on Ice. Interesting, he could have possibly been redeemed if he didn't fall to the Scourge.
the bro trip wasn't a waste... you saw the omen trailer, that's what happens when Noctis travel alone. While they're both chosen kings, the friendship was the one differentiate Noctis from Ardyn, he matured in that trip, they have to emphasize that and bro trip is one of the way to do it.
gianna brown i mean ever other character in the game as well as the lore and story got pushed to the side to focus only the the road trip. While everything els was put in dlc or side material giving us a fractured story that will never be complete because of the other cancelled dlc And Luna WAS the biggest waste of a character in final fantasy history
@@minlow7831 hmm yeah. The way FFXV plot was portrayed was honestly flawed because they went through so many staff changes and story. But saying that Luna is the biggest waste of character is a bit too much, FF has so many female characters like her, no one bats an eye before. The way she was so secretive of everything and making everything so blurry for us in the main game by repeating "it is ordained" over and over was basically explained in Episode Ardyn. Aera made a mistake: she blurted it out to Somnus and causing a huge mess, Luna didn't. She keeps her secret no matter how it broke her heart until everything is done. Because Bahamut will have what he wants, but if she twists it by doing other things in the table, the progress there will be much more painful. Her role is important in the game, but the lack of screen time made her character doesn't show as much, she looks way more determined in Kingsglaive.
We need a true antihero/villain MC. Don't get me wrong traveling with noctis and his bros was a great experience in itself but it never had that moment of greatness I was hopping for. This DLC was 2 hours long and it had so much emotion, so much action and excitement that it had me invested the entire time. The main game never really did that for me.
I just bought all the dlc the other day and played the game over again with new game plus and it's truly one of my favorite games. The dlc episodes in between with there non stop story and action really help the pacing of the overall game.
True. It's when you feel that hatred and pain, the anger and frustration at everything in existence and Beyond, that the character finally becomes a "Villain". It hurts, it makes you want to scream along with him, yet you know that he shouldn't be allowed to win.
Funny you should say, Noctis was going to be more of a roguish character in Versus XIII under Nomura's direction. He would still have most of the personality we see in the final game but he would also be somewhat less restrained more willing to do what he thought was needed in a situation, causing the others to have to hold him back before he rushed into dangerous situations.
After that ending cutscene of Noctis and Luna finally reuniting after death, Bahamut is somewhere smirking in relief for fulfilling his duty, on top of a mountain of corpses.
Somnus is so unaware that he created this monster though. The irony. All I see is that this Oracle was in with this mess anyway. She told Somnus about it and she wasn't supposed to. I think she is at fault too. Ardyn was betraied by his most importaint ones. And yet Somnus still being a jerk towards Adryn until the end. Asking for understanding like - yeah right - so easely to do when he killed a very precious person of his brother. That's a deep hatred that wont vanquish to mere "understanding".
Personally they should've just gone with Versus 13 and see how it would've been. I mean we know half the bros die so yeah no need to get attached to any of the characters in the half-cooked unknown companion game of FF13. At least FFXV is memorable for something.
Well I like it despite certain flaws but that's happens when ideas don't get fully fleshed out for versus 13 but overall to me I enjoyed this game alot was just a simple chill experience though I kind of wish the difficulty from duscae was here in XV

Ardyn can still do that, (probably in less hits since he only grows stronger over time) but noct was basically one with the crystal i don't think he'd be able to be corrupted
I know it's minor, but i enjoyed fighting alongside Ifrit most (like ff12 remake). I'm glad they made it that way, really 've missed this. And also after hearing all this awful stuff about Somnus, later Bahamut... well it's kinda easy to sympathize with the rebels in this episode... and fun too o.O
1:47:31 I noticed when Ardyn says he's a monster, the screen focuses on Bahamut's eyes and him saying pitiful creature. It looks like or implies that Bahamut is regretful or at least sorrowful at the state Ardyn is in and his self-loathing as a monster. Even he tries to reassure Ardyn that he'll get his rest and revenge when he fulfils his new role as a sacrifice after his botched destiny as King of Lucis.
@@100percentNotaBot Even Bahamut seemed to favor Ardyn as the Chosen King of Lucis rather than Somnus. While allowing Ardyn the chance to get out of his misery and granted a chance to gain his revenge.

Anyone who says so have a very narrow perspective. He does consider sacrifices necessary though, and let's be real, in this case they were.
I totally agree. This dlc gave more backstory to Ardyn than the entire game to Noct. Even till the end it felt like Noct was just going through the motions. Ardyn lost everything. We saw a good man betrayed, go mad and attack a country for vengeance only to find out the gods he faithfully served planned all this. The worst was seeing his beloved stab him repeatedly with such an apathetic look on her face. And all this in two hrs while I still feel nothing for Noct after beating the entire game.
@@Silvamoon I feel for Noctis. Whether anyone cares or not, he actually had all the makings of a decent King, as opposed to Somnus. He was just an unfortunate victim made to play out a script written by Bahamut.
Have FFXV had Ardyn as its "protagonist" and the plot be essentially this but more fleshed out into a 60+ hour game (with the beginning be that of 2000 years in the past), I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Noctis is the protagonist, Ardyn is the hero. The hero is the lead character who is in the right. The protagonist is just the POV character. They go hand in hand, but don't have to.
Christian White the ultima blade is good for just raw damage, but it’s actually kind of outclassed by the sword of the father for utility and even the orichalcum daggers due to their light damage for enemies that are weak to it later in the game. I’ve gotten the DLC stuff from the FFXIV crossover so I don’t use the orichalcum anymore, but they are still really good daggers.
Awake Now Not sure how much attention you were paying to the first one. Tell me... what was their plan when they killed Orphan? Ardyn is only a victim of circumstance. Despite that fact, what he did was still wrong but it's like that situation where the saying goes "he who is without sin cast the first stone".
The voice acting in this is awesome! It's pretty awesome that Ray Chase does both Noctis and Somnus as far as parallels. Also... I can't get over Steve Blum's deep as hell voice coming out of someone that looks so much like Prompto.
Probably hit deep that she loved Noctis who was basically a clone of Somnus and she was dying anyway thanks to her duty helping Noctis. Some wounds never heal Plus if anything was going to pull Noct into the "get your shit together bitch" role, it was that and Ardyn knew that
Pretty sure it was supposed to turn out differently but because of Aera's mistake, they had to make Ardyn into a bad guy. Ardyn was supposed to take the throne and became the king of light to save his people. Aera told it to Somnus and Somnus in his envy and greed betrayed his brother. Aera got caught in the crossfire, Ardyn fell and gave way to the darkness. The plan had to change by then.
And the gods being massive dicks for blessing one guy with eternal life, and then making him the sacrifical lamb to rid Eos of the scourge - thus also causing pain, suffering, and death not just to Ardyn, but to everyone and everything Ardyn directly or indirectly affected. The gods were the true villans all along.
@@TimelessOne123 it was the gods' way to rid the entire planet of the scourge. It was complex and intricate, spanning thousands of years of manipulation, a tragedy. But it did save Eos.
@@rolandaustria7926 They still could have found another way. If they were honest with everyone from the beginning, then due to how pious everyone was back then, Ardyn would have probably gladly sacrifice himself if it meant saving those he loves AND the people of Eos, and Somnus would have honored his sacrifice by immortalizing him as a martyr who saved Eos from the Scourge. But no, the gods had to turn brother against brother, get an innocent killed for NOTHING, turn the TRUE SAVIOUR OF EOS into a vengeful vessel for the Scourge, and then kill countless future innocents just so they could MAYBE save Eos in the future by, again, MANIPULATING A DESCENDANT OF SOMNUS. What if Noctis, in the end, never found the will to become the King of Lucis? Eos would have been completely and utterly fucked in more ways than one. It is a moronic plan on the gods part.
Honestly if you think about is less about the Gods being Jerkass and more about being flawed, they basic choice made this to him because would bring the "best path" to humanity. Kinda similar to some versions of Jesus Christ in Gnosticism
You know, it's points like this where I really have to hand it to developers in really making the audience question religion and gods, as well as sacrifice for the sake of others, in ways such as this. How there will be at least one character who sacrifices a lot for the better good, if not for the gods, to not only to be shunned by said gods, but by those said character sacrificed for to protect or help.
Blank 30 the Greek pantheon was cruel... the Roman pantheon was cruel... most religions posed their God’s as cruel so no it’s not brainwashing but a story telling device most likely.... brainwashing would be if the game had dialogue presenting arguments for why religion is bad in general.
that's not new thing you got roman's god and greek's god , all of their story exist in order to establishing our current situation is true. i mean who would have buy show that tell you that some religion is true? it's just create controversy and deemed as sunday preach. and People didn't want sunday preach
Damn, this just proves how much potential Ardyn had as a character, and to be honest even a lot of the other characters. Don't get me wrong FF15 is a good game even with its many flaws, but given more time it could have been something truly amazing to behold. Rip episode Noctis are possible good ending. (PS. that Ardyn laugh at the end gave me serious Joker vibes which I loved!)
Even the sound acting kinda suck. The side characters sounds weird. Even Ardyn's wife sounds suck. SHE'S ONE OF THE IMPORTANT GEAR THAT MOVES THE STORY! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!
While the gods are terrible in their way of destroying the demons it has some poetry to it. Ardyn the kind and devout though was chosen by the crystal in fact became the darkness that no other could withstand and though he suffered immensely for this he saved humanity by becoming the source for which demons dwelled though not by choice and…his end meant his saving of the world as originally he wanted to save lives not take them and yet his revenge could still be gained through the ending of the bloodline but not immediate and not by his hand. He’s definitely my favorite character in the series.
It would have been so awesome to play in the past as a younger more determined Ardyne, where you help the people do the tasks of the gods, help your brother and fight off a massive hoard of daemons and heal so many people only to end where you get betrayed by everyone you love and your brother takes the throne that was supposed to be given to you, the gods abandoned you, and the people are afraid and despise you. This would have given the us a new perspective on why Ardyne absolutely hates everyone!
This is probably one of my favourite parts of the whole game. I loved ardyn as a character and it's amazing to know something more about his motivation and about the game's lore as well. The only improvement they could have made is to add one or two other guardians, to face always the same two is a bit repetitive

He is wicked. True, the man that cast him into a fallen savior is unjust- but he died eons ago. He snapped and finally killed many of innocents' lives and brought the world to into darkness. That's all done in the name of revenge. He's mad, he's also disproportionate to his retribution. He vowed to destroy what his brother had built by destroying ornaments around the city all while giggling and sarcastically remarking. And again... While killing innocents. He's wicked. But no doubt, he's sympathetic as a villain.
I find it interesting how each battle theme for the DLC is a different genre Gladio: Metal Prompto: Electronic/Techno Ignis: Orchestra Ardyn: Rap And I can imagine the other three would be Aranea: Alternative (specifically Female vocals) Lunafreya: Pop Noctis: Rock
I still applaud the performance of the One True King and i truly believe he deserved that throne more than any of his brother's line. Take a bow, King Ardyn!
What bugs me is that when in earlier games of the franchise you would dispose of the gods who make humans suffer such in FF XIII, in this title they actually all got what they wanted. Bahamut's plan goes exactly as plannet and Ardyn as well as Noctis are just his chess pieces. And after all of this, he still lurks out there to shape the destiny of humankind. It's actually very unsatisfying...
It's very satisfying because the whole point of ardyns sacrifice and death is to end the demonic disease which takes root in Ardyn since he absorbed so many of them.
The novel sorts that matter out by going back on the fabla nova crystallis like storytelling. Those are the type 0 games and FFXIII. Kinda sad that it was removed from it and changed story story because of China but a least it got some aspects of it back.
I'm surprised no one is talking about how the screams from the demonifying insomnian soldiers sound.. I love how you hear their last moments as they quickly convert into a more demonic scream.
Actually, it seemed pretty obvious that ardyn was more like a vessel for darkness. In game, it was told that everything was predetermined and so both roles of Ardyn and Noctis. It was clear that Ardyn was ready to accept his fate (it can be seen when he suffers from defeat by Noctis). Developers just had to show that and so did they. It can be also said that Ardyn could see in Noctis himself as they both had to sacrifice their lives, they are victims of fate. This understanding doesn't seem to have been shown but still the ending of FFXV we got is satisfying for me. So, to sum up, we got Ardyn as someone who had to collect all the darkness, Noctis who had to collect all the light in his ring to destroy darkness. And Somnus and Aera who knew what destiny Ardyn was meant to carry. It is also interesting that Bahamuth could easily interrupt Ardyn but in the main story he did nothing to help (again - everything is predetermined). There are also lots of people who say that Bahamuth is antagonist but it seems that there is no clear who is the enemy. Bahamuth is a goddess and he does not care about emotions (he did say that the end of Somnus' kin will come to an end and so Ardyn will get what he wanted like he did not even care). For Bahamuth it was significant to get rid of Starscourge and nothing more.
I loved FFXV, just wish it was all well and put together before it got released. But another side of me would of liked to see Ardyn as the protagonist, and the whole game be about him. His story was tragic, screwed by everyone, and basically told this is what we have for you and it’s absolute.
Thanks Boss for making this vid. TO be honest this episode just changed my idea of the hero of it. Im 1000 percent with Ardyn. To hell with Behamut, Somnus and the city of insomnia. I know exactly how Ardyn feels. Betrayed and broken and only anger and dark to be your friend. I know that others are out there who feel the same. As oppose to the "King of Light" who drives around having a good time and jerking off to food and fish. Sorry Ardyn that your own family fucked you dude. May you find peace at the end of this story.
Yeah, but like Ishgard of FFXIV's present era, those people aren't even aware of the betrayal save for the royalty. The City of Insomnia and its people weren't the problem and shouldn't be punished for the sins of their fathers.

@@Saltymedpac8008 To be fair, Noctis got fucked over by the god to, technically the whole Lucis family blood line did. If any thing, blame the gods. Noctis was born go basically give his life to undo everything Ardyn did. He was born to give his life to bring the light back into the world and Ardyn was born to plunge the world into darkness and then be slain by Noctis. Noctis had to do the job that will end the Lucis family blood line, who were only formed just to do what the gods tell them to. Really shows you how just like in real life, how little control you have over your life in the face of a god. The gods essentially played chess with these people and they were basically like "Eh...Deal with it".
Albeit suffering a great loss, in the end Noctis and Ardyn got what they both wanted. Noctis eradicating the starscourge, while Ardyn succeeded in wiping out the Lucian bloodline.
Really? And here I thought Noctis wanted to save his kingdom, and other than that just have a decent life. Noctis never cared about ridding the world of starscourge, at no point during his story is that ever a goal. Helping his people, being their king, helping make life better for them: those were things he wanted, defeating the empire that was causing suffdring. Instead, everything was destroyed and 99% of the entire worlds population was killed, Noctis got to kill himself and Ardyn. I wouldn't say either got what they wanted. Ardyn never wanted any of it in the first place but unlike Noctis he didn't unquestioningly lie down and do the Gods bidding even when it was evil. If he was going to do evil, he was going to do it for his own goals, not the Gods. At least he kept his dignity, unlike Noctis, but he hardly got what he wanted; what he wanted was never to be betrayed and cursed in the first place.
I had never seen this. This was really sad. He was betrayed in an extreme way and never got so much as an apology. "I dare not ask your forgiveness but hope you can fine repose"!? After Aera died, he lost it. Ardyn wasn't a monster, betrayal made him into one.
Ardyn is one of two exceptions along with Vergil that break the joke where you defeat the final boss of a game and unlocking them as a playable character, albeit weaker than what you have faced against.
Is not, the path that gods give to him was spread Darkness around the world until the true king (Noctis) born, that's why Ardyn was given the blessing of immortality... to live until that day comes.
kacangbumbu987 Ardyn was refused by the crystal because he absorbed the star-scourge. he wasn’t healing anyone, he was simply absorbing it into himself. He wasn’t the true king of anything but daemons and the star scourge from the beginning. The true king of light was always noctis. The astrals were asleep after the astral war before Ardyn was even born. They only returned for Lunafreya asking them to help Noctis because Ardyn was never the true king nor was Somnus, it was Noctis like they clearly say over and over again.
@kacangbumbu987 pretty much just with a much darker much more masure story. Theyre both the chosen ones they both have god level power i think noctis was gonna be immortal aswell just like ardyn due to being the chosen king but he had to sacrifice himself in order to defeat ardyn or was tricked by bahamut to sacrifice himself and kill 2 birds with one stone so he can step and take over eos well find out soon
There is a specific reason for that. The game was recorded originally in Japanese, and the English had to be redubbed. When you redub, you can't have more than one voice actor in the booth at the same time, and you can't mix a lot of other sounds in quite as well, because the main focus is on getting the dub to fit the scene that has already been made. That's why, despite the main game having a major emphasis on the character relationships (and the voice actors did a decent enough job), you never really feel it that they are together. Because they literally weren't.
@@TheLastWanderingBard I would agree with you there cept the fact this is a game company. They have all the files needed to swap out the voices with the correct sounding surroundings.

So Ardyn is essentially what happens when Jesus becomes the Joker
He calls us all to repentance, He loves us and wants to save us. believe and have faith in God then the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit

Actually if one were to look at other games, every other game has wasted potentials due to time constraints and technology. I mean, for example, Skyrim was supposed to have an active civil war with large cities and it came out a disappointment but its still on my top games. My point here is, there are no perfect games.
The original base game wasted everything and everyone in the game just to make the focus on the stupid bro road trip
the bro trip wasn't a waste... you saw the omen trailer, that's what happens when Noctis travel alone. While they're both chosen kings, the friendship was the one differentiate Noctis from Ardyn, he matured in that trip, they have to emphasize that and bro trip is one of the way to do it.

And Luna WAS the biggest waste of a character in final fantasy history
Cylus O'Brady sad he became an on rail shooter boss at episode prompto
Yeah now we got that in FF Origins but it sucked aaaasssss
I hate that I have to agree with you.
But i stil dont understanding how cant the summoner monster becaming a god himself are there a slave for mandkind is this a joke ???😑
So, everyone who caused craziness in this story was taking orders from the gods, which puts and odd twist on Ardyn killing Luna.
Finally some sensibility. Yes, Somnus is to blame for Ardyn's descent into monstrosity, even if that too was part of the plan.

And he wanted to ascend to the throne of God. He was selfish and greedy. Ezekiel and Isaiah describe it well.
Me: Does this mean we are going back to the beginning.
Game: No we are going way back to before the beginning
Nice.
Lion King 1 and 1/2 reference I see
Ardyn and Ifrit fighting together..overkill.
This makes me wish Ardyn was a playable charecter in dissdia along with Noctis 🤔🤔
He needs to be.
There's literally no reason NOT to have him as one.
HighPhoenix1754 ikr! I could only imagine his interactions
Pretty sure just based on his gameplay, he'd either be a speed type like noctis or a unique type.
He totally needs to meet Lightning so they can defy Spiritus and Materia together.
They're still doing the novel which is canon
TheGamingShadow12345 nigga who tf cares about a novel

It saddens me that you can really see the lack of budget in many moments. Still a great prologue for a great antagonist.
Yeah, the animation and graphics aren’t as good as the previous DLCs.
Yeah, the opening segment was fantastic, but it seems there was a downgrade by the time we enter Insomnia segment lol.
Even the sound acting kinda suck.
The side characters sounds weird.
Even Ardyn's wife sounds suck.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!
Ridwan A the english voices just seem to be rushed. The japanese ones don‘t suffer from this issue apparently

But I have to give props to Ardyn's VA.
He really chewed the scenery when he's angry or laughing maniacally.
"The tragedy of life is not death but what we let die inside of us while we live" - Norman Cousins
Verstael: "stop him, before he destroys everything"
Ardyn: "give me a second" ;-)
Main thing I learned from this game is that Regis always take's L's. Hasn't ever gotten one real victory.
Yeah you kind of feel bad for him.
Nah if you played his story (the arcadey game i forgot the title) he is also a bad ass on his youth.
@@Fenrir-Afri Like I said, he hasn't gotten one real victory. He beats an ultros cameo... *slow clap* Who does seem more hype in the game (A king's tale) is Clarus, since he was trash in kingsglaive.
Regis did fuck up Glauca in Tenebrae at the start of Kingsglaive so that surely counts
@@Fenrir-Afri yo someone actually played it too!?

@@IAmKry I understand you.
@@IAmKry on the bright(?) side, the narrative of most DLC's was awful, except for Ignis. Maybe the novel can flesh the ending more than the DLC would have .

No - FF XV the best Final Fantasy ever made, will live on forever with new enhanced graphics effects like Nvidia grass shader and improved graphics/rendering distances on PC again in a few months, well I hope our beloved fennec Carbuncle will be there too because there was no FFXV Platinum demo on PC to unlock that cute little squirrel/fennec spirit. Oh and I bet that Square Enix will bestow another great FFXV DLC upon us this year ;) I hope it`s the Lunafreya DLC, because "A fate worse than death" makes me very curious.

@@patrickpettyjr.3134 so is the people who did this to him, they're the one who made the hero becomes the villain we see now
@@xiles8963
The man who wronged him died ages ago, the people Adyn was hurting in the present day had nothing to do with his misfortune. I understand Ardyn's pain, but that doesn't make it his actions right.
He is Wicked. The People Who Did Him Wrong Are Long Gone.. He Could Of Had Payback in Different Way if He Proved To To His Brother's Bloodline(Noctis) that he was Worthy and Exposed What His Brother Did.
Ardyn's theme here at 47:48 sounds like a song from Persona 3 fes
EDIT: Yep the theme is done by Lotus Juice who does music for the Persona games.
Its 90% lotus juice being the god of rap that he is.
It kinda fits since Ifrit is acting as Ardyn's "Persona".
@@Heraldo_Del_Mar yup
omg I felt the same thing, literally Mass Destruction xD
I find it interesting how each battle theme for the DLC is a different genre
Gladio: Metal
Prompto: Electronic/Techno
Ignis: Orchestra
Ardyn: Rap
And I can imagine the other three would be
Aranea: Alternative (specifically Female vocals)
Lunafreya: Pop
Noctis: Rock
Random person: I lost my wife, house, and children
Ardyn: hold my daemons
I still applaud the performance of the One True King and i truly believe he deserved that throne more than any of his brother's line. Take a bow, King Ardyn!

"-to cure people of what ails them."
Ardyn started started as a White Mage confirmed.
That song in the credits is really beautiful and classy. I look forward to reading the actual lyrics, etc.

This is just amazing. This is what we needed the whole game should've just been about Ardyn if they wanted to scrap versus 13 so bad.
I'm surprised no one is talking about how the screams from the demonifying insomnian soldiers sound.. I love how you hear their last moments as they quickly convert into a more demonic scream.
I like how u can just sit down and relax to save the game at 1:31:33
Actually, it seemed pretty obvious that ardyn was more like a vessel for darkness.
Wow! That's Johann Sebastian Bach, Air on G String at min 16:45
Yeah! That was awesome!
I KKNOW! I WAS LIKE I KNOW THAT SONG! And it is fitting! It is also in another SE game ;)
@@astrealbrizbee9815 Im just upset on how the royal guard could just shoot on sight. Guy has been in solitary for over 2 millennia and no one wants to talk to him, not only that hes not a threat untill you make him one.
Totally agreed here hes trated like shit and i like him for it wish he won
@@100percentNotaBot Yeah all they really got was fucked.
I'm not crying, you're crying
This is such an important part of the ffxv story. I feel sorry for Ardyn :(
I had never seen this.
That moment you come to terms with the fact that both the Caelum and Fleuret family lines died with Noctus and Luna😔😔
56:47 When you have some spare time between being betrayed by your brother, see your lover killed by your hand, and going genocidal to a whole kingdom
Vinicius Alexandre Targino Nunes Well with all the crap he's dealt with for 2000 years, he's gotta treat himself somehow.
Ardyn IS the kind of guy to just sit on a bench and read a magazine in the middle of a capital seige.
This right here shows the gods always had the power to intervene, but they chose to abstain all for the sake of just witnessing.
ardyn lucius caelum the true king
#VerumRex
Lool noooo
Ardyn did get more romance in one episode than Noct. got in an entire game. Also, Love the Steven Q. Urkel moment at 1:02:15 Bahahaha!
This actually makes XV more powerful and meaningful at the same time. Great job from the new Square Enix director and his crew.
They really need to up their game in sound department. All dialogues sound like just voice actors talking into the mic. No environmental effect at all
110% what I felt the entire time I played it.
