Back in the 80s i used to go with my Dad to the old Ravensthorpe station. The station master was my Dads best friend, 'Bill Price' . I remember the power station on the left which i beleive is long gone.
Good to see my favorrite railway line getting some work done, i often play train sim world just to drive along this line. Great video

An explanation of what is happening will help people like myself who is interested in the Trans Pennine rail upgrade but doesn't know the area.

New Railway station building at Ravensthorpe. Also two more rail tracks being built to free up overcrowded Railway.

There is a £1 billion upgrade going on between Manchester and York which involves some new alignment; some increases from two to four lines; Full electrification is involving the lifting, replacing and disposing of some over bridges; New Stations, refurbished Stations, More and longer platforms.
If you search “Huddersfield to Westtown Transpennine upgrade “
A fly through simulated video is self explanatory.

No context really without narrative or description, the drone footage is quite good though.

The cost of the TRU between Huddersfield and Dewsbury is £1.5bn. the same as the National Highways A14 Huntingdon Bypass.
Compared to the £100+ of HS2, how is this up levelling the north?

Have no idea what's going on. Are they building a giant Lidl?
Did you get a drone for your birthday?

Read the title of the video or the description? It's pretty self explanatory.

Great Drone footage. For people that don't know what's happening in the video why don't you read the caption? Or can you not read 😆

    No information plus horrid music.

Do you really think that moronic, repetitive noise enhances the video? It doesn't.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand that not everyone has the same taste, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. so if you have any specific suggestions on what might enhance the video for you?

    Decent done footage.
However, the video has zero context without a brief narrative, the music is not a substitute for description. All I see is a huge digger land with a few roads, bridges and rail tracks but no meaning to it all.
Sorry but this is not informative.

I'll put more info on next one regarding the progress of new Station at Ravensthorpe.
