I know this is an old capture of her but every time I'm tipsy I come back to be blown away by it. Both songs are stunning, but Salinas? It's a masterpiecee. It doesn't get much better than this
Among the greatest artists alive today, in the context of any media. Her talents are many, and she is consistently challenging herself and striving to evolve. She represents the very core of what art "is."
I got a shiver down my spine at the start of the video, watching Laura play in an alleyway in my home town. Oh Melbourne I love you and cannot wait to see you again. I was at that show at the Forum right up front. such an magical and perfect night
I cant stop watching this, so beautiful, so lyrically rich, so Dylanesq, so intelligent - i wish I could play guitar so effortlessly like this... i love it so much it makes my ears bleed...
Gyan was so on my radar over 20 years ago.... About 4 years ago went to her site to buy her CDs. Her songs still speak about me in so many ways....my then, my now, and how I want to communicate. Train of thought is something I want at my funeral. Don't ask me why is so current in my life right now, as it has in the past. Thank you Gyan.
When I saw her play in Nashville, I was the first in line. I could see her rehearsing on stage through the glass door, and I had an internal meltdown. She did the thing where she just looks up listlessly and holds her head there. It drives me wild.
She's especially pretty here. And that adorable, little, humble smile at the end...cuteness! And don't get me started on how talented she is and how beautiful this performance is... sigh :)
REALLY nice! I haven't listened to Laura Marling in a while now, and while she was very good before, from this performance I get the impression that she's been developing her craft since I first encountered her music. I'm quite impressed with this!
this is the second sideshow ally vid i found by mistake (first being kimbra) brilliant atmosphere. Also should be noted LM is just amazing, actual music this.
Midknight0122 lol ditto. First sideshow alley vid I stumbled across was kimbra, via a blog post written by the lady whose car was in the background of kimbra's video.
de corazon se lo digo jamas habia escuchado una voz tan exquisita y tan difernte a la que estoy acostumbrado canta y mete poesia a la vez dios le permita mas para deleitarnos
Ugh. Words can't describe how much I love her. Her music, her style, her personality, and she seems to have such a good head on her shoulders.
She sounds so wise, like she already lived for hundred years.
I get the same thing. Musically wise beyond her years. She transmits something mystical from a frame that should not be possible.
She’s 72 but she says she’s 24
She certainly seems like an old soul...With hundreds of ancesters speaking through the poetic vessel of her songwriting.
Masterclass
One of the best songwriters alive.
those birds chirping in the background made this even more beautiful!!! Love this artist .
Like those birds at the end of Alas I Cannot Swim :)
Laura is lovely, on stage, solo!
I keep coming back here since 2012
She's only five years older than me and I look up to her more than any other person on the planet. What a remarkable human.
She's five years younger than me and I look up to her more than any other person on the planet. :)
Laura Marling is easily the single most beautiful person I have ever seen.
I'd like Laura Marling singing in my living room like this during a raining day when I feel nostalgic.
Love her! she is truly one of Britain's greatest female singer/songwriters!
Brilliant - pure class!! There's only one Laura. ❤❤
And the birds chirping in the background are not only in tune, but chime in just at the right time.
Birds like guitars. They listen, enjoy, and sing along :)
I love her reaction at the end after the ripple of applause
So humble and appreciative
Who’s here in 2020? I’ve watched this probably 100 times in the past 8 years. Such a great performance!
98 times behind you... But let's see where this goes.
2024 and I still think she is underrated as hell!
I love this perfect combination of voice and guitar. There is nothing else that needs to be added. Make music like this again!
True. Laura's kryptonite is sometimes a backing band :)
Effortless and flawless.
i don't know why i've never bothered to listen to her music before, but goddamn she is truly a phenomenal artist
I could listen to her performing for hours on straight :}
I got a shiver down my spine at the start of the video, watching Laura play in an alleyway in my home town. Oh Melbourne I love you and cannot wait to see you again. I was at that show at the Forum right up front. such an magical and perfect night
I love her humble attitude afterwards too! Perfect.
I used to think (sadly) that British folk music is dead. Thanks so much, Laura, for showing me how wrong I was!
she's a beast! thanks for writing good music Laura.
By a beast you mean literally, right?
I cant stop watching this, so beautiful, so lyrically rich, so Dylanesq, so intelligent - i wish I could play guitar so effortlessly like this... i love it so much it makes my ears bleed...
Emma Rose is my child's name. Twenty two minutes ago she was 21. I miss her very very much. Pretty songs, lovely young woman and sweet songs.
she plucks the strings in my soul. brought me to tears xxx
Laura is absolutely mesmerizing. I find myself just staring at her performing. Cannot get enough of this medley.
I see so many singer songwriters out and about.. I'm more of a jazzer.. this stood out for me.

No Brasil a gente só tem Anitta e coisas desse tipo. Infelizmente.
