Very interesting way of processing the cucumbers. What do you do after changing the water? Do you boil them? Maybe you can show us in your next video?
Hi Angela yes I will show not a problem :) They still didn't started bubbling .. so need ta wait .. but no no boiling just emptying this water and replace it with fresh water !! I was sceptic at first when I seen how it was done .. so I did it few years ago and it worked !!! they stayed in glass jar for year and was lovely to eat :) So that's why I am doing it again !! I will show you other recipe where I boil them and using vinegar :) g

Goodness, G you really do throw yourself into the hard jobs! You must be hardest “builders “ mate for absolutely miles around! And all that mixing and pouring concrete before you give us another recipe! The build is moving steadily forward, pleased you are starting to sort out the roof you will definitely I predict , have a roof this year! ❤

I watched this while taking a break from cleaning my carpet, a job to be done while it’s hot, about 36° c here today, so that it dries quickly. I admit I’d rather be do this than moving all those rocks! I hope I have enough cucumbers to make a few pickles this year, home made are so tasty!
Hello !!! I think I would choose moving rocks then washing carpets .. ;) But that's me .. crazy G ;) Yes your own cucumbers just the best !!! Hope you will have a lot
The patio is coming along nicely. On your concrete, if your mix is drier (less water) it will dry, or cure, faster and be stronger. I'm looking forward to seeing what the finished patio floor will look like - smooth concrete, flat stone or tile?.
Hi, it's so hot here I think it would even crack or crumble if we would do dryer .. we do water it as well every day just to make it stronger :) We will use flat stones .. :) Gxxx
@@portugalitis Your early mixes looked good. The last mix you put in front of the door was wetter. Yes, working in hot weather is harder to do. Flat stones will look good
It is strong as stone ...no cracks appeared :)

Entao para a semana já vao pôr o telhado? olha que bom fico feliz talvez no inverno já possam dormir dentro de casa. Hello :) The name of company is GAMA but because we live not far from Spain boarder we get delivery I assume it depends where you live .. but GAMA is everywhere in Spain :)

Hi guys, just a couple of months behind, catching up fast😂. Just a thought looking at your grey trailer, could you add three sides that are removable to enable more capacity when chipping. I reckon three sheets of OSB cut to the size of the sides and headboard of three trailer 1 metre tall should do it as well as transporting branches etc. Great videos, really looking forward to you getting stuck it to the restoration build. I do think the kitchen/bathroom could have been bigger on the end. No woods near that end.

What are your plans for drainage at the end of the house where you removed all the rock? Will water build up there once you build up the veranda?
We got A PLAN ;) we want to build a wall .. and do a drainage as all water would go to patio you correct :)
That's a lot of cement. Hopefully you can store it somewhere dry.
Yes we got garage where we can store or neighbours who would love to buy from us LOL ... We will use a lot on our ring beam I bet

Hello. I'm a loyal follower of your restoration project 'cause I'm a stone and log building lover. In fact, I built my stone cabin in my little farm on the colombian mountains and I fenced it around with a 2 meters walls but I hadn't had stones on my premises like you have a lot so I had to buy it from away quarries. I spent almost a year to build it. That's why I would ask questions about your project and give you some advices if you don't mind. For example, I've noticed you don't talk about a plan to build or adding an inside bathroom. Believe me, it's really important 'cause I suffer its inconveniences for months to get out at night time to an outside bathroom in freezing nights. It's easy for you to add it 'cause you have enough space, good stone workers and the material to do it. By the way, why the delivery truck unloaded the cement on the entrance? Your driveway is good enough to get in any truck 'cause it's stony and there is no chance to get stuck, am I right? Don't worry about changing plans, you're going to do it many times on the run, believe me. Anyway, your project is taking form and it's admirable. Congratulations.
Hello !!! what a wonderful message !!! Thank you so much :) We won't do bathroom in side because in our plans we planned to build extensions next to our house (like we did with kitchen but other side) and it wasn't legal to do it because part of our land classifies as FOREST ... and kitchen was build on existing walls so we ok with this part ... we will do bathroom in one of irrigation tanks so will be just a minute walk and it's good for us :) Delivery couldn't go in because we got olive trees on drive way and we just don't want to cut them so we do carry our deliveries from big trucks :) and It's ok .. smaller trucks can go in so it's just this one big truck can't go

Why didn't you reuse the great beam on the roof...it would have been a great historical part of the house. Now you have cut it in two maybe you can use it for the verandah posts.

I’m confused as to why you can’t use the dirt and rock from the high end to pack the low end. From what I’ve seen concrete needs a level crush stone base to go underneath. And it looks like you have enough of that there. But I’m not a builder so I will just watch to see what you’re doing. 😂 I do enjoy watching. You two are hard workers. I’m sure it will be beautiful after your finished. Do you call those fermented cucumbers or pickles? Do they stay crispy?

You no pickle with vinegar? I use those spices but we use vinegar.
Hello :) In this recipe you don't need to use vinegar :) (I got other one which I use vinegar and I boil them ..will show you later ) It's very simple way to make nice gherkins .. and I did try this few years ago .. it worked !!! ;) I was surprised as you :) G

I must have an episode as to your plans for the patio. Why dud you dig so deeply and all the extra work of bringing those heavy rocks to fill it in. Why didn't you just make the patio higher and add steps, I assume those rocks will be covered over with cement, I have studied architecture for 2 years. I'm just confused as to what you are doing. Hi Jane .. we wanted to make a strong base for our patio that's why we dug out soil and we put some rocks :) we don't want to make additional steps to patio we want same level as house floors we will have steps to come to patio and to go to BBQ area behind the house .. Gxxx

Бетон набирает 75-78% прочности на 7 день при температуре 30С, и 85% прочности на 7 день при температуре 40С. Это важно при нагруженных конструкциях (несущие балки , колонны ). Ваш армопояс будет ПРОСТО лежать на верху стены и на него будут ПРОСТО опираться балки крыши.
Мой совет - задавайте подписчикам строительные вопросы ДО начала работ . Среди 9000 человек могут быть грамотные строители . ( Но может и не оказаться таких ). В одном популярном канале с 90к подписчиков грамотных строительных вопросов и ответов было не более 10.
Я даже предполагаю , что вы будете использовать их опыт.
