    Sharks are my favorite creatures to learn about. I wish I could go back in time and check out these prehistoric sharks.

    btw here are some things to take note of
    1. The helicoprion is not considered a shark. it is a eugeneodont fish looking shark but actually isn't!
    2. the edestus also isn't a shark. it is considered as a holocephalian fish that lived back then.
    3. Otodus is a family of sharks. Not just a shark. The Megalodon is known as the O. Megalodon because it was part with the Otodus family of sharks. Also goes with O. Obliquus, O. Sokolovi, O. Chubutensis etc.

    For #10, we are told the hybodus preyed on 'whales'. We're also told that they went extinct 66 million years ago. 66 million years ago, whales had not yet evolved.

      @@jenniferwright3963 It might be still alive i know it's extinct but some animals came unextinct and plus the largest shark was ever caught was 36 ft and the megalodon can size upabout 60 ft and more.

    Nice video but some of the information is presented in a misleading way. Primarily the part where it is confusing as to whether or not you meant that electro sensory was a skill exclusive to the Scapanorhuynhus, when it is in fact a common trait shared between At least most sharks if not all.

    The first one feels like a filling... =/ I was thinking about Megalodon but the title called for Strangest then I said meh... Megalodon is just a big big version of GW.... and i was thinking the Helicoprion would be no.1.
    But still great job Katrina, it is not easy to produce high quality interesting videos on daily basis. Take care!

    I watched a prehistoric shark tv show year ago that had a funny looking shark in it and we couldn’t remember the name of it so we always just called it the “chimney head shark” 😂 finally today after years of not knowing the real name of the shark I find out it’s called a stethacanthus. Thanks!
