Great Video! Thank you for sharing these Cambodian traditional recipe. I have just recently started to love cooking Cambodian food. I used to eat it all the time. Now grown, married with children. I want my children to learn and eat the food that my mother used to make for me and my siblings, which is much similar to your recipe. So thank you!!! Please keep sharing. I appreciate it so much.
Soursdey Oum! Thank you for the recipe! I made it, following your instructions, it is delicious! I am so happy! I was wondering if I could freeze the blood? Oh koun ❤
Hi Om, I am liking your cooking tutorials. They're clear and informative. I was wondering if you know how to make 'boat noodle soup'? It's a Cambodian take on the Thai boat noodle soup minus the blood.
Awesome authentic Khmer recipe tutorials!! That's enough food to feed an army! :P I totally subscribed as I'm trying to cook more Khmer food for my family (younger generation). I was wondering if you could do a tutorial for 'pak lov' (5 spice stir fry of tongue, intestines, ear etc)? Thanks in advance!
Saron Ong I passed this message on to my mom and she was thrilled to know that everybody is enjoying her recipes :) she said she will make pak lov next week we will keep you posted on when its coming. Thanks again for all the support
I came across your channel today and have watched a few videos and really enjoyed them. subscribed and liked videos right away. I rarely do that immediately. you're so proficient in your demonstrations. not that it matters but I'm just curious - are you currently a chef or retired?
Hi leange long time ago I used to think the same thing but it does not loose the flavour, 5 minutes is just enough to clean the bone but not make the bone give out all its flavour. I have made it like this for long long time it save time to skim the dirty water and still have a yummy flavourful soup. Hope that's helps :) thank you for support
+justin xing Ming (aunty) sounds like she comes from Phnom Penh. There is a very big Chinese influence there that goes back hundreds of years, and the local dialect does not roll the 'r' like most other Cambodian dialects. For example, where I am from (Battambang) we always roll the 'r' but in Phnom Penh they use a breathy sound that almost sounds like a silent letter.
oh BTW, I have a question on the ground pork and shrimp mix - it cooked for only a couple of minutes and I'm just concern if that is safe enough to eat?
PLATINUMCASTLE-924 yes since the meat is ground into small pieces you only need a couple of minutes, there is no harm in cooking it longer. or you can cook it in the boiling water you use for cooking the noodle before eating
I love that you don’t use msg. Some of the products already have it. I don’t use it either. Not that it’s terrible to use. It’s just nice to see that you don’t have to use it.
I love your cooking tutorials. However, my only criticism is to avoid playing music in the background as it can be distracting and annoying when we are trying to carefully listen and follow through. Thanks.
Yes us khmer away back borom boran we the 1 that created nom banthjok tah chey was send to serve in chines palace to make food.then the chines and viet copy from us and name it as they the one that creat it bunches of tieves.
