Omg, just stumble upon your videos and just subscribe. I've been looking for something like this to help me learn to cook more cambodian dishes. Thank you so much.
Hello there! 👋 Thank you for your kind word. It really means a lot for me. One of the main goal with my channel is to help people to cook Khmer food. 😄
There are many ways to prepare the dried noodles, mostly based on the package cooking instruction and others based on their method. The reasons I soak the noodles in a bowl for 30 mins. because: 1. I want to make it soft like freshly made 2. Helps to clean away the dust that might stick on the noodles. 3. It does not take a long time to cook in boiling water. And a quick way is the same as you said, take out of the package and cook in the boiling water right away, the result should be the same. Thank you.
Noodle is originated in China, and every country they have their own version of making it like this noodle soup recipe, we have our own version of making Cambodian Noodle Soup or Phnom Penh Noodle Soup.

Why do you have to soak noodles in bowl for 30 mins, and then boil it?! I just take out pack and boil it, what does it do?
