I was asked about the clubs and other items that go into my golf bag. This is a review of the clubs and why I chose them from a clubmaker club fitter frame of mind not a swing person attitude.
It's very refreshing to listen to someone who talks without the patronising bs usually found on YT golf channels,as a fellow portsider I was very interested to see your set up and was not disappointed, excellent video and most enjoyable, thank you.
I'm also a lefty too...you've given me some ideas on putter and driver I should look into. I have a hand-me-down Dunlop putter right now and a stock Taylormade RBZ driver that I got like 10+ years ago and am finally putting it to use.
what's in my bag? ping g400 max driver, ping g400 5W, ping g400 5H, callaway x2 hot irons 5-SW, 60* piretti wedge and Piretti Matera Elite putter. mike johnson of piretti putters is my neighbor. have you heard of Piretti? i like you red white and blue but i'm that subtle person you mentioned, i prefer black bag, towel and glove. i just got fitted for ping g425 irons and glide wedges. my fitter recommended dynamic gold shafts, hard-stepped. they won't be in until august-i can't wait. like you, i'm capable of playing well but also capable of playing bad. i have broken 80 twice and it is my goal to do so again this summer! currently i'm averaging mid-80s. i don't hit the ball far but i have a great short game! enjoy your show! subscribed!
DEAR MC GOLF. I ALWAYS LOVE YOU VIDEO SPECIFICALLY ON HOW TO CHANGE YOUR OWN GRIPS. SINCE THAN I’VE BEEN CHANGE MY OWN GRIPS AT MY APARTMENT IN NYC. HOWEVER I’M HAVING A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH CENTERING A NEW ALIGN GRIPS OR RIB GRIP. FROM GOLF PRIDE. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. IF YOU CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT HOW TO CENTERING A RIB GRIP OR ALIGN GRIP WITHOUT GRIP VICE? THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOU.
8 minutes into the video and I must say those color schemes are hot 🔥. I'm loving the look of the black and red. Are those iron shafts steel? I wonder if I can get the tour 125s blacked out like that. Great looking clubs man!
Hi Jim I really enjoy your content and presentation style. I am an older guy but still reasonably fit, so far so good. Can I pick your brain a little. I live in an area where club fitting is not great. I usually try to fit myself. I just replaced my Titleist CB710 forged Dynamic Gold regular irons. I bought some fantastic looking and feeling Srixon ZX7 irons Modus 120 in a stiff at a fantastic price. I was able to try a set for a week and really enjoyed them even though the stiff shift I thought would be too heavy and stiff for me. I tried the Zx5 with the Modus 105 which I thought should suit my age and swingspeed requirements I hated them. I have Callaway X Hot Pros with a 105 DG shift in a regular which I hit really well. Why did I gravitate away from regular shafts which I have played all my life??? Can you tell me why I am able to hit the Modus 120 so well when the modern advice and common sense says I should not contemplate a heavier stiffer shift?? Nuts!
it would seems your swing type needs to require a little more weight to feel / locate where the club is during the swing. a bit aggressive or hard transitions
@@itakeshowers3030 alignment is loosely interpreted however things like a training grip to show where the fingers go is not allowed, shapes that make for placement of the hand like the small flats or coke bottle shapes are not allowed. Ribs were questionable but fell out of vogue. The align style is allowed
I'm curious to what your driver swing speed is. I'm getting refit Friday by Callaway as my club head speed and reduced because of a back injury. I was surprised that you were hitting the Epic Max LS Good job as usual
Thanks Jim, I'll let you know how the fitting goes! I currently have a Epic with a Tensi Orange S-60. I have to work to get it thru the hitting zone due to my back problems and not being in the gym for a year. After seeing that you have the Max LS I wonder if I will get one also. I just need a shaft that allows for my swing speed without all the work. I'll let you know.

MC GOLF ROCKS! I'm a TaylorMade man myself, but I really enjoy seeing YT guys tell me WITB.
I'm also a lefty too...you've given me some ideas on putter and driver I should look into. I have a hand-me-down Dunlop putter right now and a stock Taylormade RBZ driver that I got like 10+ years ago and am finally putting it to use.
Great set up, Jim- appreciate the detail you provided! I'm also a fan of the Chrome Soft X LS golf ball. It's the real deal!
Nice clubs! Thanks for the tips and tricks too. I like the colours of your grips as well.
I love the red/black color match on your irons. So sweet!
Lefties unite! I got fit into the SEL this year as well and they've been fantastic! Surprisingly easy to hit for a tour iron.
Same hybrids and driver too! That driver is so good. Straight and long pretty much everywhere on the face.
Those are a beautiful set of clubs Jim, nice work
As a fellow lefty, that is a great bag!
There's something about the way you explain golf in general is reassuring that how I want to set up my bag and play will work.
Awesome color coordination...look good...feel good..play good!
Great video Jim. Loved the peek into your bag. And as you say, "Let your scores go low."
Thanks Jim. What's in the bag are always interesting.
Thank you, Jim. Educational and useful. Even though our games are different, I learn.
Great review and explanation. I'm waiting on my Max LS, cant wait! JP says hello.

Nice. Like Bryn below I’m Welsh an would love red white and green on the ferrules.
Nice set up! I might go get a bag like that, I really need more room, I carry too much stuff in my bag
love the red white and blue theme but also some green

Thanks Jim very in depth WITB Can you do a video on how to build up the grip for the lower hand?
Will do

i’ve never been so at peace as when i’m on this channel.
Interesting stuff
Hell yeah, lefty gang 🤙🏼
I’m curious to know if your irons have the same faster face as the Hot Metal Pro’s. I love the gap wedge in my set as well.
Always enjoy your videos!
No these are a one piece forged ,the hot metals are of a different metal,
I dig the patriotic theme…🇺🇸💪
It was staring me in the face to do. Sun mountain has a camo bag that is awesome but as a Navy guy I need blue digital camo
I'm confused about a ruling, if it is illegal to have a tapered grip how is not illegal to have a rib in the grip?
It’s not illegal for a tapered grip however, a shaped grip like a bottle is.
I thought the rule was if it had an alignment aid it was illegal

That's what I was curious about, I remember them outlawing the grips that were tear dropped shape because it showed where the hands go.
Stiff flex for a 102 swing interesting maybe I should go stiff flex

I’m at an ave of 102. The smoke 5o fits well

What is the benefit of a graphite shaft instead of steel shaft in the irons.
lighter, more shock absorbing, more profiles, steel is very stable
Hi Jim give me a shout if your ever selling them irons please .
shouting,,,,,,, We are one of only a few folks in the world that can build them.
Love it
Do you install I am shafts. CT 115?
yes
breaking 80 from the blues or the golds?
Blues and whites depending on weather
👍✅🙀✅👍
Those clubs looks backwards.
They go on the right side of the ball though lol
beautiful set Mate loving the coloured ferrules and grips
