This just proves that Wes Anderson could direct a tintin film
yesssssss i would like to see this happen
Yo bro, imagine?!?!
@@LOL_TATO_KILL_U i can’t imagine!! it’s gonna be actual masterpiece
Oh man, that would be nice af
thats steven speilberg
now i want a 2d animation movie by wes anderson
I did not know I wanted this till I read it.
Yeah but it will be hard to execute the whip pans and zoom that Wes Anderson usually used
how about a clay-mation film by wes?
@@aidenstammler4618 Sorta Fantastic Mr. Fox
@@nileshollowthorn your not wrong
This should have been the credits at the end of the movie ...
I was about to say the same thing!
It would be kinda bombastic for and ending to a movie like this
When I first saw the movie a few weeks ago I thought it was lesser Wes Anderson, but since then I’ve found myself thinking about it quite a bit. I think the episodic structure really works and every part offers something pretty interesting. If anything, I’d like every segment to have been their own movie. I think this movie is going to age well.
Is a masterpiece in my opinion.
Just watched it this morning and it was one of my favorite films in a long time
Absolute masterpiece. There's a so much poignancy in his movies. This one doesn't disappoint at all. And what a cast. Absolute A grade, but they all serve the movie perfectly.
Although Jarvis' accent is very thick, this song fits him like a glove. I absolutely love it!
I would have preferred the original version by Christophe
@@mbappepite I'm familiar with the original verson, but I prefer the timbre of Jarvis' voice. Though he could have translated the song. Scott Walker sung translated songs of Brel and the results were pretty good.
@@mbappepite I find it too calm compared to Jarvis cover.
While Christophe version was calm and sad.
Jarvis cover is like an explosion of emotions. Like describing the whole film with emotions put in a song.
a pink glove
Calm?
Nah I disagree completely his voice during the chorus goes hard
Once this song started on the movie I had a smile on my face and I wanted to listen to it full.
Wes Anderson is such a genius.
Not to mention the animated parts, reminding me of Tintin comics.
This is THE movie that gets me back in theaters.
Amazing experience in a theater though
Spencer !
Tragedy of Mcbeth !
As well :)
@@xingincool9672 Spencer is still in my top 3 of the year
@@xingincool9672Tragedy of Macbeth was incredible. Denzel was robbed of the Oscar.
His movies make me feel a breeze of fresh cold air, that soothes the soul.
Jarvis and Wes. I couldn’t be any happier. 💖
Have you seen Fantastic Mr. Fox? Jarvis was in that, too!
@@rasmus.m Yes, I saw it years ago but I only recently discovered that Jarvis was Petey! 😍
This is amazing can’t wait enough for this movie! And RIP Christophe
Ah, fuck. I didn't know that COVID got him last year. RIP. His original is one of the great pop music recordings, but Jarvis Cocker gives a bang up version here himself.
@@DavidBillotti it didn't.
"According to his wife, who was speaking to Agence France-Presse, he died of emphysema. Last month the French newspaper Le Parisien reported that he had been hospitalised with coronavirus, but that was not confirmed by his family or management. His family made no mention of coronavirus being involved in the cause of death."
Ну круто, а на территории СНГ фильм, до сих пор не вышел
wes getting the french dispatch hype going i see
what makes me really happy is the exposure that Cristophe's song and music will have from this move, RIP Cristophe
Lowkey been waiting for this cover since the first trailer dropped. “Aline” is such a magnificent song.
J'avais dessiné
Sur le sable
Son doux visage
Qui me souriait
Puis il a plu
Sur cette plage
Dans cet orage
Elle a disparu
Et j'ai crié, crié
Aline!
Pour qu'elle revienne
Et j'ai pleuré, pleuré
Oh! J'avais trop de peine
Je me suis assis
Auprès de son âme
Mais la belle dame
S'était enfuie
Et je l'ai cherchée
Sans plus y croire
Et sans un espoir
Pour me guider
Et j'ai crié, crié
Aline!
Pour qu'elle revienne
Et j'ai pleuré, pleuré
Oh! J'avais trop de peine
Je n'ai gardé
Que ce doux visage
Comme une épave
Sur le sable mouillé
Et j'ai crié, crié
Aline!
Pour qu'elle revienne
Et j'ai pleuré, oh, pleuré
Oh! J'avais trop de peine
Et j'ai crié, crié
Aline!
Pour qu'elle revienne
Et j'ai pleuré, pleuré
Oh! J'avais trop de peine
Et j'ai crié
Aline!
Aline!
Et j'ai crié
Aline!
Aline!
Aline!
Aline!
Aline!
Je vous remercie!
고맙습니다 ^^
감사합니다.
Merci🌹
The drawings are reminiscent of Cabu, a cartoon-maker who died in the January 2015 Paris Terrorist attacks. His flagship character was "Le Grand Duduche".
This was a very enjoyable picture. I liked The French Dispatch very much.
I'll be playing this on repeat all weekend with my beret and visions of me returning to Paris one day soon, Wes Anderson style;) 🤷🏻♀️💋🛍👜
Wes Anderson Cannot miss😩❤️🔥😩
this movie came out last month but it feels like it's been a classic of the decade
This song is so perfect for Jarvis. It actually sounds like it could be on His’n’Hers.
Pulp
Been waiting since Fantastic Mr Fox for another Wes Anderson-Jarvis Cocker collab.
This movie is definitely winning the best picture Oscar award... Wes Anderson is no doubt one of the best directors/writers, he can really bring the characters to life through the exceptional cinematography and excessive storytelling
It pains me to see that The French Dispatch wasn't nominated. Not just for best picture but no mention at the Oscar's at all. It feels like a crime.
@@spartanfives7157 God, yes. I was hoping to see it win best picture.
I wanna see the entire background as a massive mural
Just so incredible.
Also you can pretty much play Where's Waldo every time you watch it, there is so much detail
IKR? Like I've watched this so many times, and I've only now realised that Wes Anderson is driving the van at the start of the video
i, too, would like tiny french cartoon jarvis cocker to wreak havoc amongst an entire town
omg hi mai
@@Mina-fl6us omg hi mina xx
This is going to be such a great film! Wes is a genius 👏🏻
It was, Neil!
I saw it over a month ago & it still stuck with me
“did he just throw my cat out the hot air balloon?”
Same thought...
"...I don't think so"
It'll land on it's feet.
I see what you did there (:
Nicely done 👍
This shows that Wes’s from Houston (my home) and can create of his own world in films, which inspires me to create my own as he can because anything is possible!👏🏻
Christophe is legend
Loved the animated music video! This makes me even more excited for The French Dispatch in 1 month! Super happy to finally be seeing the new Wes Anderson film!! Hoping to maybe see Wes to possibly make another stop motion or hand drawn animated film one day:) Can't wait for October 22!!:)
Fox Searchlight Pictures should do more animated films in general.
We got Waking Life, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Isle of Dogs but other than them, we only have some early Miyazaki films (dubbed by Fox Searchlight Pictures before Disney did redubs and the films are now with GKIDS with the Disney redubs), AKIRA (dubbed by Fox Searchlight Pictures before Pioneer/Geneon redubbed the film and now FUNimation has the film with both Fox and Pioneer dubs), and everything Dragon Ball (partnered with FUNimation, Toei Animation and Fuji Television Network).
I would also love Fox Searchlight making the jump to television, because the only TV series they have are again, everything Dragon Ball (again, partnered with FUNimation, Toei Animation and Fuji Television Network), and series by Elizabeth Meriwether like New Girl and Bless this Mess.
@@HydraSpectre1138 all these large publishers don’t want any risks, and the smaller publishers can’t afford the more time needed on animation projects. Unfun world!
@@GoatgutsRecords Fox Searchlight Pictures started out as Fox’s anime localisation division before going to mostly live action indie/arthouse films.
Now, the only anime they have left is Dragon Ball.
And as I said, I also wanna see them jump to television and they will soon. Previously, the only TV series they had were Elizabeth Meriwether’s creations and Dragon Ball.
If Fox Searchlight needs a mascot that encompasses their quirky, indie image, it would be Summer from (500) Days of Summer, but their most popular and long-lasting character would be Goku.
the first 15 seconds of this is heaven
This is the most beautiful song I have ever heard and I can't understand a word he's saying...
This remind me those funny books with just images where every tiny detail shows a different history simultaneously
I knew I recognized that voice
Thank you Jarvis and Wes for making me happy
What a time to be Aline)
Obviously genius, the introduction of this music each time made me cry due to joyful euphoria! The power of youth is extremely strong!
i love this version of the song 🥰
Rest in peace Christoph 💫💙
I could watch this a 100 times there is so much going on!!! I Love it!! I am so excited to see this movie.
Wes should do a musical with music by Pulp.
Yes. And everybody dancing like Jarvis

Enhorabona a tots els animadors. Heu fet una feina increïble.
Pa que lo pones en catalán si el canal es estadounidense y la canción en francés?
My favorite;)💜
