Such a lovely little stretch of canal❤. Just goes to show what a small group of like minded folks can do. So glad they saved this part of history! Loved seeing the little coal carts on the tramway. Well done. 🇺🇸

Thank you Andy, what a treat that video was. So pretty and love the determination behind getting it open again. Take care and all the very best for 2023.

A'yup lad, this is a bit of a change. Lol.
We are often up in that neck of the woods visiting relatives, we will definitely be going there now we have seen how nice it is.
    Many thanks.

Great video of my home canal. Great drone footage - you can see my boat in the Racecourse marina, and my house on the other side of the road of the lock house. I'm guessing this was done very recently, but even in the winter, it looks good. I'm guessing if you'd been a few days earlier the canal would likely have been iced over. To Da T's comment about no moorings, there are moorings just before the canal basin, and from there it is a mere 5 minutes stroll into the heart of the city.

Spent many weekends there, we had "White Lady" one of the first boats to join the club and was still in the club till we sold here in the 80's.

We have been there in 28' canal cruiser. The journey up was great from Lincoln, passing through Selby and York .but there is nowhere to moor in the town. The usual waterfront developments, and as you can see, there is the very busy main road running along side. It's worth a trip though just to say you have been on the northern most point of the connected system
