@@drtydawg73 I have, it's one of those private businesses that won't last, example, a warehouse that sells and ships cellular phone accessories online, it's a cut throat industry, those type of jobs I worked dont have future benefits, I have worked many temp jobs, trying to get rolled over to a company that will hired permanent after you've been working for them for a while, till word of mouth says let's hire him. I have so much work experience, now I am a Gov contractor working on military bases in San Diego CA. Continuous Hard work and perseverance pays off.

This has become progressively worse over the past few years leading to severe joblessness, desperation and opioid use. It turns out that the US government allowed these cheap drugs to flood the population causing absolute devastation in communities. I feel America is being systematically destroyed by powers that shouldn't be. My advise to anyone is buy local, buy from small shops, keep the currencies local and you will see your neighbourhood thrives. Big corporations = cheap goods and bad for communities as all the wealth is sucked out. Blessings to you 🙌

There is a law in Pennsylvania that allows relatives to have a family member involuntarily committed to a mental institution, if that person is a danger to themselves or others. It's not the 302, seventy two hour hold, such as what's used to hold a suicidal person for observation. Unfortunately it's a long legal process. And at the end of that process, even if the families were to succeed, there are no long term rehabilitation facilities for drug addicts. Those must be created. They could be.
Lucky they if they spend 20 days in detox/rehab. They just get spit right back out. In out in out. Free benzos, free methadone exacerbate the problem. This is just a government experiment.
I agree with that statement, over here in Canada b.c more spacifically Vancouver and surrounding area, we are experiencing similar problems that have recently been spiraling out of control with the new installment of legalizing hard drugs, just how stupid is that, hard drugs like fentanyl are almost impossible to be weaned from, the drugs are just way to strong for that, and even if some one is in a 30 day detox they just start using again as soon as they get out, clean needles and safe places to shoot up are not helping either. So again I agree the only true way to get them clean is to force them into mental hospitals, but sadly most municipalities refuse to because of the dark past those places have, but realistically those old lobotomy surgeries and others barbaric treatments are long gone and much more helpful treatments are now being used, so between 1# being allowed to wander freely in a drug addicted psychosis sleeping in the streets or 2# bring forced against your will into a much healthier environment where you can truly get well. The choice is obvious, but law makers are more interested in an individual's rights even though their state of mind is in question....

I can't say I completely blame the government in some ways accountability has to be taken on the addict because it's a choice to use drugs. Compensatory problems can possibly lead to homelessness but drug abuse will always be a choice because you can choose to get help.

I agree with that statement, over here in Canada b.c more spacifically Vancouver and surrounding area, we are experiencing similar problems that have recently been spiraling out of control with the new installment of legalizing hard drugs, just how stupid is that, hard drugs like fentanyl are almost impossible to be weaned from, the drugs are just way to strong for that, and even if some one is in a 30 day detox they just start using again as soon as they get out, clean needles and safe places to shoot up are not helping either. So again I agree the only true way to get them clean is to force them into mental hospitals, but sadly most municipalities refuse to because of the dark past those places have, but realistically those old lobotomy surgeries and others barbaric treatments are long gone and much more helpful treatments are now being used, so between 1# being allowed to wander freely in a drug addicted psychosis sleeping in the streets or 2# bring forced against your will into a much healthier environment where you can truly get well. The choice is obvious, but law makers are more interested in an individual's rights even though their state of mind is in question....

I can't say I completely blame the government in some ways accountability has to be taken on the addict because it's a choice to use drugs. Compensatory problems can possibly lead to homelessness but drug abuse will always be a choice because you can choose to get help.
the US has no healthcare, I know of one person who did the rehab thing in 2019, and it cost him over 18 thousand dollars,
