  • What’s really going on in the public schools and why is it happening? Are they really after our children or is that just an illusion? In light of these issues, what is the responsibility of parents, Christians, and the church? Yvette Hampton is joined by Alex Newman, homeschool dad, journalist, professor, and Executive Director of Public School Exit to talk about these things.

I was tremendously impressed by Alex's podcast on Agenda 2030. Real exposure and excellent advice as to how to beat them. Very good - much needed. I am however, not a Christian... but I know and value the Christian values because they are fundamental to life itself! Those values can all be reasoned with critical thinking and discussion... It may come to pass your children will no longer be the faithful you hope for... If those values are argued supportively with logical reasoning as well as your scripture they will never lose the foundation those values represent - it also helps them become critical thinkers - so essential in the world today. I take NOTHING on face value, I research and then make careful judgement if necessary - and it usually is!

I love this and just shared it. Can you kindly lead me to a theologically sound devotional for homeschooling moms?

Thank you! I have a great suggestion for you. The Restful Homeschool Resolution: 21 Days to Transform Your Homeschool, by Aimee Smith is an excellent, Christ-centered devotional for homeschool moms. You can get it here: amzn.to/3mD56UV
Aimee was also on the Schoolhouse Rocked Podcast to talk about this. You can find her episode here: podcast.schoolhouserocked.com/e/a-restful-homeschool-transformation-part-1-aimee-smith/

I definitely dont agree with reading certain verses to children like for example “after laying with his wife he put his seed/semen on the ground). I think God understands age appropriate topics and there are plenty of stories and verses that display Jesus to young kids that dont have to be so graphic. Even david and goliath , David chopped Goliaths head off and walked around with it for days and carried it. I probably wouldn’t read that part to my three year old. Just my opinion, but I wholeheartedly agree about teaching them salvation, the Holy Spirit, and to have a relationship with God. Once they learn how to read themselves then they are able to ask those questions and that’s the beginning of them being mature enough to understand certain topics.

Isolation is not the answer. You must tackle and deal with the issues - use logic as well as your bible! Critical reasoning is essential NOT just belief systems
