"So why did you come here?" "To find something special." "It's a long way to travel." "No journey is too great when one finds what he seeks." Fun Fact: Cuba Gooding Jr. (an Oscar winner) and Vondie Curtis-Hall (an Emmy and SAG Award nominee) made their first on-screen appearances in this film. Zamunda Forever Fact: Zamunda is the name of the fictional African country the main characters are from. This name was taken from a Richard Pryor routine where he referred to a fictional African tribe of the same name. Double Duty Fact: This was the first time Eddie Murphy played multiple characters in the same film, inspired by Peter Sellers who did the same in Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964). This would become a trademark of Murphy. After the make-up and clothing was applied for the Saul character, Eddie Murphy wanted to test the make-up and costume out. He got a golf cart and drove from one studio department to another in Paramount Studios. He would get out of the cart and say "Hi. I'm Eddie Murphy." in his regular voice. No one believed him. Before The MCU Fact: The homeless men that receive the money from Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) are the Duke brothers (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche) from Trading Places (1983) also directed by John Landis. In that movie, Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) was responsible for The Dukes losing their fortune. The Dukes theme from the movie can be heard in the background. Apparently, Landis didn't like the idea because it would be too self-referential, even though he is known for breaking the fourth wall in his movies. It led to a conflict with producer George Folsey Jr., until star Eddie Murphy decided that it was a great idea.

Great reaction Amelia i love this movie its hilarious, One of the standout features of this movie is Eddie Murphy’s incredible portrayal of not just one, but four different characters in the film. He plays the main character, Prince Akeem, as well as three other supporting characters, including Clarence the barber. This showcased Murphy’s versatility and comedic talent. There are some fun-facts about it, Landis and Murphy revisited two central characters from their earlier collaboration. Wealthy brothers Randolph and Mortimer Duke lost everything betting against Billy Ray Valentine (Murphy) in Trading Places. Actors Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche reprised their roles as the brothers in penury on the receiving end of Prince Akeem’s largesse. When they discover the envelope given to them is filled with cash, Randolph proclaims, “Mortimer, we’re back!” James Earl Jones and Madge Sinclair got their 'Lion King' roles from the movie. James Earl Jones and Madge Sinclair turned in suitably regal performances as Zamunda’s King Jaffe Joffer and Queen Aoleon. So impressed were audiences and Hollywood executives, Jones and Sinclair would be asked to reunite for the 1994 animated blockbuster The Lion King in the roles of Mufasa, king of Pride Rock, and his mate, Sarabi. McDowell’s restaurant was actually a Wendy’s, not a McDonald’s, the actual restaurant used in the movie was a working, Queens Boulevard Wendy’s location. The building remained a restaurant until 2013 when it was demolished to make way for a luxury apartment building. Paula Abdul created the choreography for the Zamunda wedding scene, Both Murphy’s and Hall’s brothers feature briefly in the movie during the basketball game scene in which Prince Akeem is recognized. Hall’s brother Vondie Curtis-Hall plays the keen-eyed vendor and Murphy’s stepbrother, Vernon Lynch, is standing in front of Akeem in the bathroom line. Tobe Hooper, the late horror director behind The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and a dear friend of Landis’s appeared in the McDowells’ party scene. Keep up the good work. You might need to check out others movies with Eddie Murphy like, Beverly Hills Cop, Showtime (with Eddie and Robert Deniro), Nutty Professor, Dr. Doolittle, Life (2009).

The king didn't arrive to America because the forty days were up, he (and everyone else) came because of Semi's plea for money. As for your question about forms of address (in the UK): King or Queen are addressed as Your Majesty/Majesties (the second is used when you apply to both at the same time.
