More than ten years have passed since the first and second videos I made at that time, but I'm back with this third video before 15 years have passed. As it was very old memory, I felt like someone made those videos for us at that time(even it was what we made by ourselves in fact), so didn't try to make anything like that since then. (While writing it, I found a clue that I tried to make the 3rd video once long time ago, but it seems it wasn't satisfying, so we gave up...) As time goes by, I realized we've always been able to... but… we just didn't try...So I decided to make it once again.
While making this video, I contacted with colleagues to ask for the video of each part(*FYI, they chose the part they wanted) and talked for a while. For now, each of us is doing different jobs, different roles and we must be busy living hard in our respective positions, but I am grateful to my colleagues who practiced hard and sent me for the video!
While editing this video, looking back at the memories of going to the international competition along with the practice videos from the past, I was immersed in appreciation for a while. It was both fun and tough, but it was such good memories that I would like to do it over and over again if we could have such an experience together again someday. It took me longer to make it because I was immersed in the memories, but that's why I made it much more carefully than the first and second. Personally, I was also immersed in my job between the years of 2014-2017 and focused on a break for myself since 2017, so it's a bit disappointing that there aren't many memories we spent together. But the time that has passed is not wasted. Recognizing that fact, ‘from now on’ is important. Here is a story. Although bamboo is thin, it is said to be as strong as much thicker trees. The reason is said to be thanks to a 'joint' that occurs when bamboo stops growing for a while. We were busy to move forward and grow up before. Now we all have finished our military service in Korea and are each pioneering their own path again. I consider those blank years were the time to form the 'joint' of bamboo. So far we squatted down as lower as we can. Now we are ready to jump a little higher and jump up to the next level.
Our 3rd video, and maybe the last video. It would have been much better if everyone participated as I planned, but I thought it would be fine because it even would reflect and show us our figure for the present. If I had wanted to make the 3rd video long ago at that time, I would have been impatient and annoyed again by myself because it didn't go as I expected. Owing to this video project, it was good to know how I have changed for myself for those blank years as well!
The first and second video was named like "Korea Slalom Teenager", but now they are nurturing talented people in their respective positions, so I called them 'Korean Slalom Leaders'. To someone, it may be just a video of our old memories, but I hope that it can be a video like a trigger to bring us back to growth and stability for slalom that made us as one.
