Myyyyy all time fav is New England Maple 🥰, I'll tell ya whose KILLIN IT THESE DAYS......GOOOOOOSE CREEK 😀🥰 The throw on them, the packaging.......LUVVVV GC!!!!!!
Yay! Thank you for including YC in your reviews. I think my allegiance to them is based more on nostalgia from when they were still family owned and trying to just keep that lore alive. That said, if you want a strong throw Yankee try Red Apple Wreath this Fall. I know what you mean about it only being strong at the top of the jar but this is one that lasts the entire jar.
It’s been quite a while since I bought a Yankee. I’m really glad you were able to get some enjoyment from them. They used to have some really good fragrances for the price point and I thought they did a nice job with florals. Key Lime Donut sounds especially appealing when you compare it to Pink Lemonade Pound Cake! I still have some Yankees in my collection. I’ve found that putting them in my 24w candle crock I get very good strength and throw in a medium size room for a week or more for most scents. None of them are fresher than 2018 either.
My Yankees are just fine. No issue with burn or throw. I know you love goose Creek and represent them, but tbh, I’ve not had great luck with their throw. Almost smell like crayons.
I have been having much better luck with the large 2-wick signature jars than with the traditional 1-wick jars. I bought a few during their semi-annual clearance sale after Christmas and I have been pleasantly surprised. Would I pay full-price for them? NEVER! However, I believe I got them for below $15 and that price-point was just right. The most recent one I burned was Tangerine & Vanilla. LOVED IT!
right! there has definitely been a formula improvement with these new 2 wick jars. I purchased them for the first time during halloween, haunted hayride and mystic moon I believe? these performed amazingly for me
The 2 Wick Signature throw Significantly and are very noticeable. I been purchasing the 2 wick signature since they were released. No regrets. Performance is excellent. Trim the wicks though because they can soot after around the 4-5 hour burn mark.
Ughhh!! STILL MISSING YANKEE like it was bak in the day!! Just wish someone would buy the company and actually ADD OILS!!! Yankee Def has my FAVORITE Fragrances, beautiful and so authentic. Miss the days when 1 large jar will fill your home!
Thanks for the review! I was looking for a Key Lime Coconut Donut review. They large Yankee candles are currently buy one get one. So I was trying to decide which two to get. I believe the sale ends today. I will end up getting them for just under $15 with my April $5 bonus cash reward thrown in. I have been very pleased with the Signature candles, and I especially love the ones with the burnished lids that are also the candle holder/coaster. Your description of their strength is spot on. I am pleased with their performance especially the fact that they don't need babysitting like BBW. I am huge BBW fan, don't get me wrong. You just have to know your brand and what you are getting. I can easily burn the Yankee Signature for 4 hours no problem, but BBW only two hours playing it safe or else one of their fast & hot burners will scorch and discolor on you. Anyway, I am glad you gave Yankee's Signature line a try!
I've had a lot more luck with the Signature jars. I have some scents, like Catching Rays, in both the original and Signature jars. The original jar barely scents my guest powder room. The Signature jar fills my bedroom and wafts down the hall. I've gone through a bunch and now only buy an original if I want a scent for collection purposes.
Kringle candle is not a subsidiary of Yankee. They are an independently run company by the Kittridge family in Maine. Michael Kittridge was the original founder of Yankee candle who after many years sold the company to a housewares company in Texas. Missing the candle business, Michael Kittridge started Kringle candle.
I found that if you have a hurricane (skinnier the better) you get way better throw (the hotter the wax is the faster it pools, and the hotter it is, the more oils burn..and the deeper the wax pool is, the shorter the wicks are (no soot)
I melt Yankee more than any other brand and can't remember the last time I had an issue with throw (I have an open concept living room). They also have the best return policy in the game now, so even if there is an issue, I know I can go trade it out. I have way more issues with Kringle, Homeworx, and GC, and those candles I'm stuck with when they don't perform. I really don't get the hate.
On that note, I was amazed last time I bought in-store and the cashier told me right away, if I don't like it, bring it back and we'll let you choose something else. Wow - hearing that before I even burn it? I was impressed.
I don't own much Yankee candle because I don't smell much of a scent throw from most of them, except for the Creme Brulee, Chocolate Layer Cake, Warm Luxe Cashmere, as well as Dried Lavender and Oak. I have the Vanilla Cupcake, but it just smells like wax with a little vanilla cake scent. I am sure they have more nice scents, but I haven't found many I prefer. I am definitely a Bath and Body and Goose Creek fan. I have so many of their candles; I could open a candle store. 😂
i thought i was the only one who didn’t smell anything from Yankee Candle. People keep buying them so i was really confused but they have my fav candle scent of all time ( Sun and Sand) bummer
I thought it was just my nose, since I lost my sense of smell with Covid last December, and have not totally got it back again! ) : It is just Yankee Candle dropping the fragrance ball! How rude! ) : I love bath and body works candles! At least you are scenting your house, when you use them. All the way through the candles! ( :
The original great company was bought out early in the 2010s and quality began heading south. Charging $20 and more is such a ripoff for what you get now. The fragarance is less than half what it was and you only needed to burn one for a hour or less to scent a room nicely. Now after an hour you smelll nothing at all. And they got rid of some GREAT scents. But that is how big business works these days: If it doesn't immediately blow off the shelves it is judgedd a failure and stopped. This is true across all business today. They don't care for individual tastes only mass tastes and for them the mass needs almost no fragarance to buy.
I'm so glad you revisited Yankee. I stopped buying from them years ago. Recently they had a 50% off sale. I love the Lavender & Oak scent so I gave it a try in the 5 wick. I thought for sure that massive 5 wick wax pool would throw. It was abysmal. Throw was 2/10. Only good for ambient lighting and not worth the price even at 50% off.
It's called cold throw vs hot throw. Something can smell nice on cold before it is lit, but if the science and combination of the wicks when lit, interacting with the wax and fragrance oils, are not optimal, the candle can be unscented when burning. It is also rumored that Yankee Candle tops their candles with a top layer of stronger fragrance to give it an appearance of a strong candle when it is not actually.
I don’t have any problems with this candles. I think they’re pretty decent. Specially, for someone like me who can get pretty nauseous. Easily with strong sense not the bath and Bodyworks. Candles are pretty awesome. They’re just a little bit of a strong for my liking.
Just purchased the Salted Caramel large jar 1 wick and it’s pretty much a dud. Also burning Margo Ice Cream in the 2 wick premium tumbler and can only smell it within 4 feet of the candle. Super disappointing. I have a Returning Favorite Cotton Candy and Soft Blanket 1 wick large jar yet and a 2 wick premium tumbler Pumpkin Banana Scone to burn. I hope I didn’t waste all of my $60+ I paid 😢
@@RaySw89 How am I telling you? I just did. I have no reason to lie to a complete stranger with no face on the internet. There’s no way you do not smell black cherry because it’s a powerhouse. Or maybe you didn’t burn it long enough. Yankee’s need to burn for 3-5 hours. Hope this helps liar! ❤

You are right. That one is my favorite from Yankee Candle. Great scent, long lasting throw.
I am enjoying the newer YC two wick Signature large jars. Have both of these and love them.

Mango Ice Cream, chocolate layer cake, pumpkin banana scone, tangerine vanilla are nice. After Sledding will blow you out of the house
I just ordered that Keylime Coconut Donut one too. I can’t wait to get mine to see how I like it.

Kent, these videos are life 😂! Keep going we are here for it!
I have really good luck with the 2 wicks
I'm burning a large jar of Pink Hibiscus (UK exclusive) right now and has a nice medium throw. Happy Burning.
Kent, have you tried their 18oz 3-wick candles?
Key Lime sounds delish!
I buy Yankee's melts once in a while, and the 5 wick candles with a massive wax pool. The 6 pack clamshell melts are the best bet.
I recently purchased Kringle Candle which is a subsidiary of Yankee Candle. What drew me to them is their beautiful 2-Wick tall clear glass jars.
Kringle candle is not a subsidiary of Yankee. They are an independently run company by the Kittridge family in Maine. Michael Kittridge was the original founder of Yankee candle who after many years sold the company to a housewares company in Texas. Every now and then I give Yankee a try. No luck so far. Do you have an opinion on Candleberry candles?
Thanks a bunch, love🍃🌸

Yup YC is great now. I’m done with Homeworx. Soot monsters, wick issues, poor scent throw. YC has my money again after their reformulation
On that note, I was amazed last time I bought in-store and the cashier told me right away, if I don't like it, bring it back and we'll let you choose something else. Wow - hearing that before I even burn it? I was impressed.
Yep I have done that on a few times and they changed them, I order most of mine online and have never had a problem if there has been an issue.
Hello everyone. Are these candles strong like after you turn it on then the place smells nice or is too mild ? I love strong ones

Their ice cream collection accessories are on point
I picked up a Yankee candle last year too see how it went and had a similar experience.

Saw these at Kroger for $9.99 with Kroger card or ALT ID#. Wanted to check your reviews on them before I go and buy. Tfs.
You would love Botanicals by Kringle I love it! It’s super strong it has Hyacinths in it !
I love it, too, it's the essence of Spring.

They have the Easter scent cup available I got it . They have not been 10 dollars are sales a while . I still bet them . They are expensive

Yep Lavender Oak is notoriously poor throw. I promise, the entire line is not that weak!
how can something be both unscented AND have a great fragrence?

Someone gifted me a yankee candle for Christmas. Black Cherry and I’m like oh ok this should be good… Nothing, no smell even on the 1st burn smh
That’s simply not true. I burn black cherry all the time and it is one of their strongest candles.
@@Keonahawk24 How are you telling me how my candle burns? I burned it and smell nothing. Maybe yours is a powerhouse or maybe your lying..
