A lot of people have been having issues with the tank over pressurizing on the krx 1000. This condition on the KRX will only get worse as warm temperatures approach. Our machine had gotten to the point where it was vapor locking after sitting for a few minutes after a hard ride. This will fix all of your issues the correct way.

Got mine from you and got it installed, just wanted to say thanks!!!! Cured my problem with the gas tank.
Thanks!
Rode 6 hours today in tight, gnalry stuff. Zero tank pressure and zero hot start issues! Added benefit is it makes the fuel gauge accurate!
Is that Valve from Kawasaki or aftermarket. . ... who or what company makes it
I just noticed you had the part In the description.......😀 thanks
Did you make your extended mud flaps or were they premade..... if you made them could you do a video on how you installed them...... I was going to make my own..... I bought some of that automotive moldable plastic ..... but the mud guards only have the push pins in them and doesn't seem like they would hold it all together
Bought them. Check the other videos on the channel. Its in there.
@@rightcoastoffroad cool thanks for the reply
Thanks for the video and information. I ran into the pressure issue and low level issue my 2nd ride out. Fuel gauge said empty and only took 4 gallons to fill. I run a roll over valve on my race truck so glad to see there is a reliable safe fix knowing what the issue is now!
Excellent! Glad it worked out for you bud.
Just got mine ordered !!!!!!!!! thanks for the help
Great video!
But then again it’s their first try at a sport SXS and I think it’s fantastic and they did really good for a first year machine
Great video... thank you !!!
Love the video quality and that it’s vertical. Very few people do that. Good stuff 👍🏽
good stuff thx!
Awesome...thanks!
I am going to guess that what some out there think is gas boiling in their tank, (which is impossible to my knowledge based on location of gas tank) is actually this pressure build up with temperature flux. Good fix!
I've heard mine bubbling a time or two. Heated gas that is shaken does some weird things! I rode both days this weekend and had zero issues. No smell of fumes, no pressure in the tank and the fuel level was actually accurate.
Could this be confused with a bad fuel pump?
Could this be a back pressure issue from that fuel pump?
Because I have seen one sit in cool weather just blow the cap 3ft off a mule pro Mx. I don’t think it’s heat it’s back pressure from that line that’s charged to the injector.
There is a certain pressure that the fuel line to injector maintains. And this is somehow bleeding back into the tank. Only thing that makes any logical sense to me. I’ve seen gas tanks build natural pressure over time from off just sitting and temperature variance. And I don’t recall this much pressure occurring organically. I just don’t know nature and operating principles of these pumps .
I’ve noticed that with mine to but mine cranks you every time
Did you have to put Teflon on there?
I pick up my 2023 KRX on Friday, gonna check if it has the same factory valve or not.
Just got a 2023 also. Was the crappy valve there?
@@donnyovercast3559 yep still there..
Well what do you know. I’ve been talking about this for months. Someone realizes there is a issue with this besides me. Most krx owners I’ve mentioned this to say. 🤔ive never had this issue. The people that aren’t having this issue aren’t riding there machines.
Also this will definitely take care off the tank pressure. But everyone needs to understand why is the tank over pressurizing in the first place? The reason is the coolant lines running under the tank are heating up the gas and boiling the gas. Gas boils around 160 degrees.
You mention Kawasaki first year machine. Yes I agree, but I call bull shit! Kawasaki has built other machines many years. Venting gas tanks is not there first pork barbecue! GREAT VIDEO!
I go out every weekend and ride all day and night for a full weekend and never had that problem....... my buddy on the other hand has all kinds of issues with his including the pressure in the tank and fuel lock and trouble starting.......
Some do and some don't. Its strange for sure !
Right Coast Off-road they must build some machines differently than others.
People also have different riding styles. Some machines are garage Princesses
Yeah but the gas tank is also a design flaw and they know that but they won’t change it until next year
How so? Mine has been good to go since the rollover valve. Reads correct level and everything
I feel bad for the people in California too...Lol
🤣🤣🤣
Got the valve and just did mine today .. literally took 20 minutes
Do you install it just the way it comes in the box or did you have to put something on the threads?
Just something to slide the rubber over the nipples. Its a tight fit.
I have not had any nonstart issues as of yet but I only have about 50 miles on mine. I have noticed that the fuel gauge is very wrong. Would this rollover valve fix that issue? Does it add fumes to the cab?
Some say it helps with the guage, some say it doesn't. You will have zero fumes in the cab. It helped our guage a little but its still not perfect.
@@rightcoastoffroad Thank you. I subbed to your channel.
Can you just eliminate the check valve all together? Would it effect the way it runs?
You could, but then if you rolled, the gas will spill out of the vent tube and could start a fire. Not safe at all.
@@rightcoastoffroad ok that's for replying to me
Where i can buy this rollover valve ?
The link is in the description of the video.
Weird mine has 2 additional hoses going out the hole where the check valve hose goes. And only has 1 hole where you put your zip tie to keep the line vertical. Wonder if I got a Cali machine? On the sticker on the back wall behind the passenger seat mine says conforms to epa and California emission/evap regulations that apply to all 2020 all terrain vehicles. Does your machine say that on the sticker? Build date is 3/23/20
You have a California machine. Can't help you there buddy.
Right Coast Off-road I did what you showed in your video. Mine was getting so much pressure in the tank. I’m in bama, wonder how I ended up with a Cali machine. As far as I can tell they just have a canister to gather the fumes instead of venting them directly outside. Wonder if everyone gets a Cali model now. Very strange. Really like your videos. Could you explain what the screw in plugs are around the engine that just have a magnet on the inside? Is it to just catch metal fragments under the pressurised system? There’s one on the very back of the engine/trans. The rear left just above the shift linkage. It’s a 8mm Allen head plug.
@@vincefallon3861 how is the rollover valve working on your Cali Machine? I have a Cali machine as well and considering installing the rollover am curious if you have had any trouble since you installed on yours. Thanks
@@ridingthetrails3296 I haven’t had any pressure issues since I installed the valve.
@@vincefallon3861 so you took out the check valve and put the rollover in the same place? any pics would be appreciated 775-300-0972
Shouldnt kawasuki fix that?
They should but I wouldn’t count on them doing it as the factory valve doesn’t pose a safety threat so I doubt they will.
I have a California model anyone installed one on a California model?
Is the KRX harder on gas than the rest of the side by side
It's not really. The gas Guage makes you think so! But it's pretty even with most other sport 1000s
I ride with a Rzr XP1000. We burn the same amount.
I unhooked my hosed it blew gas everywhere on my 2024.
Just got a 2022 KRX and Kawasaki still has not fixed it
Vforce John on FB is saying this is a terrible mod and it’s like carrying an open can of gas in the bed because of the fumes that could be ignited. I already did the mod but kind of having second thoughts now?
I can tell you I do it, with zero issues. I havent even smelled the first fume. The best analogy I can think of is, what about drag cars and rock racing buggies that run these rollover valves all of the time ? You never see those spontaneously combust. I would suggest checking around on some of the other KRX groups and see what they say also.
An interesting read for anyone who is considering this. www.onallcylinders.com/2015/07/31/tech-101-the-hows-and-whys-of-installing-a-tanks-inc-rollover-vent-valve/
dues anyone know if Kawasaki changed the Fuel tank for the 2021 model year?
They did not.
So you are going to fill your cage with gas fumes?
Thats not how it works. It's a constant air flow back and forth. Several hundred more miles now with zero issues, no tank pressure and no vapor lock.
Right Coast Off-road You may not ever have issues, but that’s exactly how it works.
@@markmanning6773 no, its not, Mark. Its made so air can flow both ways. A check valve FLOWS ONE WAY! Any idiot will tell you that. A rollover valve flows both ways. Do your research.

Good fix and even better being sorry for the guys in commiefornia
