Anne your work is just stunning!!! And you should be so proud of your work…..and anyone who might say otherwise is jealous.thank you so much for your inspiration.❤
I'm so happy I found you! I LOVE YOUR ARTWORK!!!! I want to try to create your BEAUTIFUL spool!!!! Time to pull out my collection of fabrics and have a go at it! EeeeeeEe! I am so EXCITED!!!🤗❤️
I am so addicted to watching you create and stitch!!! I am working on a small slow stitch piece just to get the process down... I am excited about working on a project!!! Thank you so much for sharing your process!
I love your chatting, you are my lovely companion. I am an octogenarian so you can imagine how many bits and pieces I have from a lifetime of stitching. I am making my book with my tatting which have been in a drawer. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement❤️❤️❤️
I love this art form and can’t wait to get started! You are an excellent teacher. Thank you. You are an artist. Add: maybe add some thin solid trim add the outline stitch to boost appeal and add interest. I love it and would probably add more color but unsure if that would improve it.
Anne - Thanks for posting a long video! I love to sit and sew with you and listen to your lovely voice! Thank you for taking the time to host these sew4thesoul projects- I love them so much! It's great to have permission to do these projects for no reason other than to soothe my own soul.
I really enjoy your videos. I’m a weaver and I have learned a lot from you on how to approach creating a project. I really like what you said about not disregarding an idea right away. And that it’s ok to take pride in your work.It was very helpful. Thank you very much.
I have a nice collection of Suffolk Puffs (we call them “Yo-yos “ here in Pennsylvania) on hand at all times. I stitch them on many types of projects. I love your idea of not closing them up tightly so that you can stuff a contrasting fabric inside for a more layered look. I am all for layers of fabric poking through! Can’t wait to try this! Thanks.
The mucky pink I call "ashes of roses". I love this colour pink but not the "I want to be a princess type pinks." When I was teaching in the 80s at a high school the kids would say " pink is punk and punk is stink Ms I". It always made me smile.
Hi Anne, I am new to this, and am feeling inspired to give it a try, but it seems daunting. I need to go back to the beginning and watch the videos in order - thank you for sharing your skills xx
I am really enjoying doing my book, when I was at school I was told I was useless at sewing and they used to let me read in art because he said I did not have a creative bone in my body. I am now in later life sewing, both machine and slow an for around 10nyears have been making cards using stamps and colouring and also just started junk journals. So let nobody tell you you can't do something. Thank you for sharing with us all.x
Your book is turning out just lovely. I haven’t had a chance to start my book project yet, my mom was here visiting and saw my spool project we did first and decided she wanted one. She mailed the fabrics she wanted on it immediately, so I’m almost done with hers now. Hopefully I can now get onto my book. I might as well plan on making her one of those too. Haha. I certainly don’t mind. She’s a great seamstress, I’d rather do the finger work. I don’t care for the sewing unless it’s for paper , as in , on my junk journals. You’ve created a lovely community Anne. I’m glad to be a part of it. I need to send you some pics of the ones I’ve done. I’m happy with them, they aren’t nearly as beautiful as the ones I’ve seen In Our group, but just to give you more pics of what people have done with their inspiration.
Oh Anne this is lovely. Your antique lace just made a difference in diffusing those harse colors. I don't have a you tube channel but ill share this to face book. Blessings
I just happened upon you today and I love your work. This is the third video of yours I’ve watched. My Mississippi grandmother taught me to make those fabric circles. She called them yo-yos.
Anne, Your pages are stunning. I love how the colors all worked out and the lace really adds a yummy vintage look. Very lovely. Thank you for the great video!
Yes I’m on my pages 3and 4 nearly finished this one now , I’m having so much fun , I have lots of little pieces of fabric. First two pages in blues and the next two are in blues and a little purple. Thanks for you teaching.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Anne, I have been watching all your videos and am still working on my first roll, It needs the patchwork and buttons and beads to be added and it will be complete. I sent a halfway video to Instagram, I will do Photos and a video once it is complete. I am in love with all your work. thank you for making these videos and the fantastic community on Facebook. Please stay safe xx
Hi Carla, if it's any help, I'm using warm and natural cotton wadding, offcuts from quilts. If you want something thinner there is needle punched. I wouldn't advise polyester as it won't be as soft. HTH Carole
Hi Anne.... do you use 2,4, or 6 ounce cotton wadding....I ordered some 4ounce which came this morning but it doesn’t look like yours at all. Is yours batting? Regards Kathy.
Another great page Anne, love this project but as l have my own channel l am busy making other things but l do love stitching. I like this page as lm a pink and floral girl. Tfs Hugs Susanna xx ❤🌷🧵🧶
I like your puffs. Mine always seem to be too thick. Even with quilting fabric. Have a Clover gadget for a clover shape and a heart shape. I wonder if anyone has tried other shapes of the "yo yo"?
I have! I purchased several sizes of the yo-yo (plus the heart too) and I quite like them. With my disability it makes the process of holding and stitching the fabric much easier and I’m less prone to stabbing myself! I would recommend them.
check out Jude Hill's (Spirit Cloth) blind tacking stitch for your layers, It gives beautiful texture without being as obvious as the big basting stitch

You have really taught me a lot. I love your tutorials you explain real well. Thank you so much I will continue following you. Thanks so much

Just love this one. Love your message about just saying "Thank you" when someone compliments our work. I have a tendency to downplay what I make.
I love your chatting, you are my lovely companion. I am an octogenarian so you can imagine how many bits and pieces I have from a lifetime of stitching. I am making my book with my tatting which have been in a drawer. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement❤️❤️❤️
I love this page reminds me of rock pools.
I love this art form and can’t wait to get started! You are an excellent teacher. Thank you. You are an artist.

Just spent a lovely hour stitching and listening to you chat, Anne! I love it when I see a notification for one of your videos, they make my day.
Sounds like a lovely hour xx

I’m happy to see my 1930’s and 40’s vintage Suffolk puffs again, you use them in such a creative way.
I have a nice collection of Suffolk Puffs (we call them “Yo-yos “ here in Pennsylvania) on hand at all times. I stitch them on many types of projects. Being a pink person I love your Suffolk punch page. Definitely food for the soul.
The mucky pink I call "ashes of roses". I love this colour pink but not the "I want to be a princess type pinks." When I was teaching in the 80s at a high school the kids would say " pink is punk and punk is stink Ms I". It always made me smile.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips
What a fab idea. Using wonderful fabrics I never would have thought of for a yoyo!
This is the process I love , it’s very calming 😊

Wonderful Anne!! Love the page and LOVE Suffolk Puffs! Another project I’m going to have to do!! Lol ❤️🇦🇺xx

That is great, I think if my mum was still here she would have me making her one too. Would love to see some photos so please email me some xxx
Great tutorial thanks . I’m now on pages 5 and 6 Suffolk puffs. Your pagers are so nice I love the colours
It's interesting watching you audition each piece.
Oh Anne this is lovely. Your antique lace just made a difference in diffusing those harse colors. I don't have a you tube channel but ill share this to face book. Blessings
Love your pages 5 and 6. ❤️❤️ Looking forward to gathering materials to make mine. 💞🇨🇦🤗
Just gorgeous Anne xo
Dusky pink sounds better 😋

Absolutely beautiful!
Inspiring and "sew" beautiful! I definitely want to try this.
I enjoyed my time with your today! Thank you for teaching and reminding us to be kind to ourselves and our work and to others
As soon as I finish my French General Stitch book, I am going to join in. It may be awhile, but I just love yours so much, I have to join in! Cheers!
Yo-yos and lace....heavenly, Anne. You have me inspired over the edge. Happy smiles, Carol.....
I love this new challenge Anne, thank you
Me encantan sus trabajos!!

This is gorgeous
Hi there.. I have started this set of pages but not sure if we are to tack down the background pieces more than just rough basting????
Very nice and beautiful
What was the type of batting you used on this book? I want to make one.....can't wait. Thank you for sharing all these beautiful pieces of art.
Hi Carla, if it's any help, I'm using warm and natural cotton wadding, offcuts from quilts. If you want something thinner there is needle punched. I wouldn't advise polyester as it won't be as soft. HTH Carole
I use cotton wadding as I love how it is soft and your pages are like mini quilts, but you can use what ever you have or preferxx
Hi Anne.... do you use 2,4, or 6 ounce cotton wadding....I ordered some 4ounce which came this morning but it doesn’t look like yours at all.
Is yours batting? Regards Kathy.
Like you I am not fond of pink, but I do love this page. Stay safe back at work.
I was surprised how much I liked it too lol
😊❤
Like the new set of pages. I have a couple of colors I don't use much. So will be fun putting these pages together
Another great page Anne, love this project but as l have my own channel l am busy making other things but l do love stitching.
I like this page as lm a pink and floral girl.

I like your puffs. Mine always seem to be too thick. Even with quilting fabric. Have a Clover gadget for a clover shape and a heart shape. I wonder if anyone has tried other shapes of the "yo yo"?
Not heard of those, I will check them out xx
I have! I purchased several sizes of the yo-yo (plus the heart too) and I quite like them. With my disability it makes the process of holding and stitching the fabric much easier and I’m less prone to stabbing myself! I would recommend them.
There's also a flower one. Got it at my local quilt store a little bit ago. Also from Clover...
What size circle do you use for the puffs
check out Jude Hill's (Spirit Cloth) blind tacking stitch for your layers, It gives beautiful texture without being as obvious as the big basting stitch
Will do, but I don't mind the big stitches as I like how the layers build up xx
I wish you'd been head of art at my school, although, I doubt you'd even been born then 😅
Очень интересно у вас, подписалась. Жду к себе в гости.
the focus issue is most likely because you have your camera on auto focus, maybe try fixed focus...
Have tried that for next ones thanks, so annoying as you have to keep moving your hands lol xxx
