Very nice tutorial for these. I’ve done them before but it has been years and I really didn’t have anyone to teach me how to properly do them. Thanks for that. Stay safe and well
You did a very easy to understand video. The size of your hex’s are very cute and love the compass why to draw a hex. There is a fabric stick glue called SewLine fabric glue pen and this eliminates the basting phase. More hex’s in less time😍 Thanks so much for sharing.
For that gunk on your iron, especially fusible residue but it works on other stuff too, try ironing over a new dryer sheet with your warm iron. You may have to rub the heavily gunked areas repeatedly. It makes your iron glide more easily, too. This trick is pretty well known among us quilters.
Happy to see this Anne. I muddled along making hexes earlier in the challenge and now I’m going to attempt what looks like a much more efficient way to make them. Cheers!
Hi Anne, new subbie here... I have come over from MiCottageCrafts and Vintage Blend Studeo...I LOVE this slow stitching ‘snippet’❣️❣️❣️ I must try this as well as go back and watch all your videos🌷🌷🌷 Thank you for sharing how you do these💝💝💝 Stay safe and well🤗🤗🤗 Smiles, Deborah 🌝🎶💐
Thank you for sharing love your challenge piece. I have a question, I am new to this type of stitching and am wondering when you are stitching on your strip are you just holding it loose in your hands or do you use a hoop to hold it tight?
I LOVE your work. Thanks so much for sharing so generously❣️❣️
One Word.... BRILLIANT
Thank you Anne, it’s looking lovely and what a difference it makes with all the different layers of fabric and stitching x

This project is brilliant and beautiful!
never done hexes, so will be trying this for my piece. Your work is wonderful.
Little tip... start with knot on top, makes taking tacking stitches out easier.xx
Forgot to say. Love your tutorials❤❤
Am so enjoying your tutorials.x
Brilliant Anne, my first thought was print them off, but I had forgotten I had ever learned how to make a hexagon with a compass.
Love old school techniques😀
I don't see anything wrong with your technique. Seems like the way I learned it... I think 😊
Your work is so neat and orderly. Mine looks like its been worked over with two forks!!!!!! :-)
