A band of supervillains (composed of Metallo, Kalibak, Livewire, Weather Wizard, and Toyman) team up to get revenge on Superman. While saving Batman and Wonder Woman Superman sacrifices himself and is seemingly vaporized. The League defends Metropolis without him, except Batman, who seeks the truth. In 30,000 Years in Future, Superman wakes up, but the sun has turned red, removing his superpowers. He encounters a humbled Vandal Savage, the only human left alive after an attempt at world domination staged a few months after Superman's disappearance.

This was unexpectedly one of my favorite storylines in JLU. Clark is Superman with or without his powers.
You can just watch justice league and justice league unlimited to see what's happening. These videos only purpose is to get as many people to like their channel so they can profit from. The narrator is fake. People that create these channels live in their parents basement and are too lazy to get real jobs
Plas Clark works really well with that beard. They need to make an alternate series with that!
I miss this kind of cartoons.
This was one of my favorite stories in the series, it shows that Superman can take care of business even without powers, and adding Lobo was just icing on the cake.

You know what's funny, and I mentioned this on a different post. Superman in the Bruce Timm era is weaker than his Young Justice version, and yet he know how to handle business under a Red sun, and in Young Justice, he got taken out easy under a Red sun during his confrontation with General Zod.
I liked it too especially a reformed Vandal Savage.
Savage has seen his countless bloodlines come and go like dust in the wind

As goofy and young wally is he seems to be the most composed.. wonder woman almost broke the code of the justice and was stopped by flash... superman lost his mind and became a dictator because of flashes death.. flash tried to bring peace between hawk girl and vixen and he was willing to surrender himself when batman would not.. in my opinion flash seem to understand the teams core mission more than anything.
Flash is the conscience of the (original) League. His death is what causes the others to become the Justice Lords in that alternate universe.

Hereafter is a great episode with a great ending and redemption for Vandal Savage getting to briefly view a new more prosperous future before fading away content to know he did his part in its creation.
It is my number one favourite Justice League episode and one I highly recommend.
Why didn't Shazam come in to take Superman's place? Whenever they need a replacement or extra muscle, they usually call Shazam.
Shazam's no leader. Superman is their leader.
Shazam was originally supposed to show up in this episode, but there were rights issues (I think because he was still called Captain Marvel at the time, or maybe there was something else going on) so Lobo was used instead.
@@faizanraza255 What i'm saying is that it's not about leadership. I was looking at it in the terms of being on standby with the extra power that they would need and also fill in the gap. I've seen many times in DC and Marvel when they called certain powerhouses in to play a role and they weren't leadership material. That's what i was looking at. Thanks for the response. 🙂

So I liked this video, not just because it recaps one of my favorite and in my opinion one of, if not the, best JL episodes made, but also because of a bit more trivial reason.

No, I'm not trying to claim "author's rights" over a little paragraph I wrote in some website, I know better than this. I don't mind it being used here. If anything, I should be the one saying thank you because you thought it was worthy of being used for narratory purposes.
I am just trying to point out that it feels nice when someone takes something you said, or created somehow, and gives it a spin for the better or uses it in something else entirely. Even if it's something utterly insignificant or trivial like this.

*Ohh i still remember during my childhood i used to watch Superman anime alot. I would wait ever so patiently to watch it's daily episodes, and I'd always make sure to never miss a single one lmao 😅 But one thing which would always scare the shit outta me was this guy Metallo here smh 😢 He was the only one vilain that could easily incapacitate Superman and weaken him real good since he had that green stone, called Kryptonite, which was always on him, mostly inside of his chest, that he'd use to make Superman literally kneel infront of him and have his strength cut down to practically zero smh.. Plus not to mention that he was a cyborg and as the scientist/inventor that he was, he built a power suit armor, with his body entirely made up of the most powerful metal, as well as a "strength serum" that made him a near match for Superman. And Superman being my all time favorite hero at that time in my childhood, i used to be really scared for him whenever he had to fight Metalo cuz outta all em villains, only this one guy, literally one of the best ever supervillain out there who was always real close to defeating Supe. The other ones were like a joke to Supe but Metalo was just built different lol, like literally haha, so all in all, just by seeing him at the start of an episode, it would make me tremble in fear lmfao. And i was like, letme pray rq for Supe today cuz he finna fight this mofo Metalo in this episode, hope Supe gonna find his way to counterattack him and end his very existence if possible once and for all haha..* 😂
