@John hill, Francisco Lopez is a skaterboarder, he was even the Portuguese professional champion in the 90s... he was also the DC Portugal team manager for a while...he scouted some skaters such as Taynan costa..Gustavo Ribeiro, Tiago Lopes and Others...
We are a very open country to all cultures but, as always, the same happens in America, some people are very extremist. I am glad you liked this beautiful country and this very hilly city! Portugal has so much to offer to everyone. Next time, with more time, go to the beach in Alentejo and visit Sintra and Porto! Btw that skatepark is in a bit poor part of the town and we are not a rich country in Europe 😂
Yeah theres a lot of misplaced anger here. It comes mainly from the housing situation I would say. In the last years its becoming increasingly more dificult to afford housing with the wages provided. The laws that incentivise people with money are great in that they drive money into portugal but the portuguese poeple are driven out because they cant afford it. Im coming back to skateboarding so I decided to check your channel since I followed you some 6 years ago. Loved the videos, glad you came here and enjoyed our time :)
I’m glad you’re enjoying what you’re doing. I’m enjoying your skate/travel videos. You make me want to travel with my skateboard more. Keep up the good work. 👊
Definitely an amazing park you made it looks so fun . Back 5050 wall rail just looks to fun ! . We need a push in word wide to make skate parks under high ways !
Yeah bro, I was in Egypt once boarding around this market and I met this skater and we started chilling right away. You don't even need to speak the same language with other skaters and you can still connect right away
Great vibes in this one! I'm from the UK but the time I spent in Portugal last year was just like what you say, decent weather, decent food, decent people, and decent skateparks 🤙
I think it’s time I got a board again I’m 43 and have no friends or family so I think it’s time to start skating again so I can feel like I fit in this world again some how 😊thanks for the inspiration ❤
Great seeing you liked Lisboa! I lived there for 4 years and it is an amazing city, wish I was skating back then the parks look sick! Now I live in Barcelona and of course picked up skating again (after 13 years) shortly after moving here, you just can´t get around it, skating is everywhere; resistance is futile.
Great to see you at Portugal! Im so sad you missed the Parque das Gerações at São Pedro do Estoril. Definitely the best skate park i've ever skated and its such a big community there, its a really good enviorment! Hope to see you skating live some day.
I got partially spoiled by Sara on the next video, nothing specific, but she did mention the big surprise. I'm happy for you and excited for the details!
Glad you had such an amazing time, speaking as both Portuguese and American, I love people loving our cities and bringing good vibes. (PS: does this video have the wrong thumbnail and title tho?)
I've been watching your videos for a long time, and I feel you are as happy making videos as you were when you were starting Progress Daily. Nice to see (: Im also glad you had a good time in my home country. About the digital nomad thing... yeah, a lot of people here are a bit upset with house rising princes and all that and blame directly foreigners. Typical stuff. The world is losing its geographical barriers and that is something that needs tuning everywhere. We portuguese are a solid 7/10 Id say... most of us are chill and welcoming. Take care John
If you are in europe the next time, luxemburg has a great park; its called Péitruss. But also where i live, in my local area in germany we got a few nice parks.
If you're European you can live, work, buy a house... in any other country in Europe. I'm not planning to but I just like the idea to move. Maybe when I retire in 10 years or so. I love Europe and so should more Europeans do.
That was definitely a great skatepark, usually I don’t see parks like that because they aren’t common but they were definitely very creative with this one
Appreciate your videos. Glad had a great experience with wife and accepted by locals. Question. Do you drive a iridescent Tesla with “progress” vanity plates? Passed one in dallas and thought might be you. Anyway, keep doing dope stuff, and if so…maybe cut back on left lane speed limit driving 😉 one-
Always loved your channel, don't comment ever til now. You make great content and explain things the way I would lol. This channel just clicks with me I guess is what I'm saying even though I'm an old fart (as far as skating is concerned...wait no, I'm old).
Please don't tell me they were so daft to not build a pathway to the skatepark!? So now I have to walk through the dirt and get my expensive grip tape all dirty.. honestly that just sucks..
All the skating happened under a bridge in Portugal but the narration was filmed under the Lancaster bridge on the trinity river in FW. Did John Hill put on the same outfit he wore that day in Portugal just to film himself wearing it so it looked like he was in Portugal the whole time. I find this very sus. Did he not have time to narrate his youtube videos on location while he was on vacation in Portugal ?? Did he think we wouldn't notice
I’ve been watching you for about 5 years. And I’m going to be completely honest. The Vegan diet doesn’t suit you. Sounds dumb I know. But I swear you gotta eat a burger or a taco every now and then.
We need more shaded Skateparks under bridges. It's the perfect spot for Skateparks!
Seriously, fuck the sun haha
Maybe but there are no brigades in florida
Bro i just got my new Etnies Maranas and i wanna skate them but i can't because it's too fucking hot and no place near with shadow
@@viktorpettersson9975 get up at 6am to skate. This is the only way to do it when it's so hot!

John Hill to wife: “were gonna spend all day together!! JK gotta go shred a skatepark BRB tho!!” 🤣🤘
That under the bridge skatepark is the best edition of creative and modern design quarterpipe!

Big up the skate community feel at home anywhere in the world when you ride a board😊

maybe you build a skatepark someday?! So we can enjoy that here in America.
this was awesome
It's a shame it gets super crowded at the evenings:/
love yourself
What a goat
That T is doooope!
I wonder if we will look back at these 1000 years from now and not even know they were for skating. lol "the bathhouses got extreme"
Not the curb for old ppl 😭😭
Please don't tell me they were so daft to not build a pathway to the skatepark!? So now I have to walk through the dirt and get my expensive grip tape all dirty.. honestly that just sucks..
Just an isolated concrete pad, how do they expect me or anyone else to get there? Just spawn in... Fly, perhaps?
There's a parking lot and concrete road that leads to the skatepark. He just went walking from the further side.
omg I have to comment 1st
also hi from a Texan though per Sara’s last video that no longer matters lol
cheira a Lisboa!
You'll find the "go back to your own country" people in every country lol
What will you do when your body tells you that your done with skating?
John's been cappin' to her wife about spending a week with her without skateboarding

When did John get married ???

Oh ok
The US is WAY richer than Portugal 😂

What the hell is this music

Vegan = more “forward thinking “. Narrow minded guided by emotion those also sound like vegan attributes….
bro is the yapper...eat vegans food if you don't. like. to. eat.

Nobody asked 🙂
Thumbs down for the vegan part!
