Thanks for the review. I wondered if it was just an IG "coffee toy of the week"or something more. The pre-heating does seem like a lot of faff. Glad to hear that they are addressing the temperature component in new iterations. I personally think it is beautiful and really unique and cool. I'd love to have one on my bar.
So I contacted them about this.. and their reply was that you were pre heating it wrong and didn't follow the instructions correctly ..... they didn't give me an update when v2 was availible..
Uh..it's also about the looks ..hence the reason you still don't get it. This is EXACTLY why it's not for you because you totally forgot the obvious plot of this machine
@O.G.LIL-MAN oh I get it alright. An interesting piece of sculpture that also happens to squeeze out an espresso. For ME, the novelty would wear out after only a few days. If YOU are thrilled by it, I'm happy for you.
With all its limitations, this has remained my favorite espresso maker. I have 10 right now, levers, and semi-aumtomatic. This machine still gave me the best cup ever. Have I've been able to replicate it, no LOLs, but that is the fun part. This is a machine that you show off to your guests at home. The more cups you do in a session, the better it gets. You get people around you, watch you make coffee. Then you can get your guests to try it too. Hand cranking is fun. It's not everyday fun, but toy kinda fun.
Thank you for a entertaining vid. BUT... when are we finally getting the Varia VS6 review?! You are teasing us for a month now 😎 I can't wait anymore 🫣

Great overview, Charlie! I appreciate your objectivity about the workflow and user experience.
Love that Faema shirt!
Hehe
I was going to buy one. You made a comment about version 2.. did muvna give an eta on that?
Not sure yet but I'll update this video when they do.

Yes
Rube Goldberg meets Steampunk. Yet another machine that would be fun to play with for a weekend but that's about it.

As a lever head:
No lever, no like 😂

Im amazed at how many people don’t understand what the front of the machine is. It’s very obvious and plain to see.

Can be converted to a meat grinder also.😂
