C’mon, it was perfect to appreciate the absolute masterful flavor… of a clown car… delivering a spinning wheel kick? Chef’s kiss!
27:30 Roon can't be a target, because targets need to be selected when the spell (or copy) hits the stack, and Roon got flickered after that happened. Because of this most creatures on Joe's board would have lived too. You can't reselect targets if the original ones become illegal. If your spell loses all targets it wouldn't even resolve.
I was coming to say the same thing. My usual pod at my LGS messes this up all the time with copying spells but not selecting targets.
Joe's board didn't flicker, so the copy targets would have gone through. They were just declared at the incorrect point (which because of cuts seemed to be because they forgot that there was a copy created).
Also, the copy resolved first, so the wheel kick there was actually the original spell.
Im pretty sure they played Spinning Wheel Kick wrong too with the Double XX
The menacing laugh by nerdgirl. Its like an endless rivalry between you and Veggie. Great content as usual
the deck looks really cool, although, 38 lands for a deck that is a 2.12 cmc average seems very high to me, I would try cutting 2 lands and adding something like Mayhem devil into the deck, it goes super well with all the treasures, looking at the deck list, it's not there. and the other thing I would add is reckless fireweaver. here are some suggestions though, including my picks:
Mayhem Devil: "whenever a player sacrifices a permanent (the treasures), Mayhem Devil deals 1 damage to any target"
Reckless fireweaver: Whenever an artifact enters the battlefield under your control, Reckless Fireweaver deals 1 damage to each opponent.
Mirkwood bats: Flying, Whenever you create or sacrifice a token, each opponent loses 1 life.
Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest: Flying, whenever a player sacrifices a permanent, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control
So out of these 4 suggestions, I would pick Mayhem devil and Reckless fireweaver and I would cut 2 basic lands
I loved the "enhance" moment at 11:24-11:42
I was tempted to building a Vazi, Keen Negotiator Deck, but it is basically a Jund Politics Deck in addition to being a Treasure deck, and I am not really into politic decks. But it is really cool to watch it in action @MTGNerdGirl.
This was a fun game to watch.

Reckless is roll 2d12 because both matter. The first is for the damage, the second is for the treasure.

Imagine the chaos from a match with: Maldhound, Veggie, Joe and Nerd Girl trying to hold the plates but giving up to the madness by the middle of it

the question is... does the roon deck have Stifle/trickbind? hmmm... no stifle and no trickbind.. well I guess we aren't playing that type of game then, exile someone's commander and if they accept, thinking it comes back, you stifle/trickbind the return trigger making it gone forever. very fun.

I just cast my first Clown Car yesterday! Yeah! I have it in 3 decks, but finally pulled it in a game. (I built a Lulu Vehicles deck.)

Another episode where veggie didn’t do anything 😂
The d12 spell at the end of the game doesnt work that way. You choose one of the numbers for treasures and one for the damage, so you'd do 3 damage and make two treasures. Not that it really mattered in this game, but hey, correct knowledge of cards is always good.
She did it correctly, I think? She 'chose' to deal 2 damage to each creature which only killed vampire nighthonk. Then, she created 3 treasure tokens from the other result. The card literally says choose one result. It doesn't care about which result was higher. If she had rolled a 4 and a 6 she could've dealt 4 damage to all creatures and created 6 treasure tokens.

It seemed to be a mutually agreed upon split. They haven’t said publicly why, but their individual videos still seem pretty similar.
Seriously, what was that attack on Veggie after he saved Airball's play? Like 19 damage? Wtf. That pretty much put Veggie out of the game.
@DeckedOutEDH He could've spread out the damage. Like you said, all the life totals were about the same. He could've gotten free hits in on other opponents. It's not like he had only one 19/19 creature(I think he attacked with at least 3 creatures?) I don't agree with the treasure token analogy either. Treasure tokens are a dime a dozen. You can't just make up counter spells out of thin air like treasure tokens. It's like saying a penny is the same as a 100$ bill because they're all currency. Counterspells carry WAY more weight than treasure tokens. Plus she got to draw a card off the treasure token he used, iirc. That's more than enough payback for 3 treasure tokens.(aside from the fact that Veggie was her last choice to give treasures to...she wasn't giving them to Airball cause he was already ahead and she didn't want to give them to Joe I guess for fear of what he could do with them.) I just don't like crippling people early in a game like that. Maybe it's just me, though.

I love how out of place Joe is on your show. He loves pushing buttons and banter while the rest of you are more relaxed and censored. I don't watch Nitpicking Nerds any more because they lost all that personality. Didn't realize it until he left.
