Rodgers actually played pretty solid. His first real action since the injury. With that being said he won’t be a Qb who will bail out the defenses issues or coaching issue. He’s just not that same Qb anymore.
Unsurprising outcome CMC is one guy The San Francisco 49ers as a team got to the Super Bowl and, with a better defensive coordinator, would have won it. The Jets have a lot of nice offensive pieces, but it's clear that a lot of their defensive players lack the heart, hunger, and/or talent to compete against the best teams in the NFL. The Jets' best chance of reaching the Super Bowl would be to install some kind of air raid or spread offense and try to outscore other teams.
Aikman would absolutely kill in the modern game. He was huge, had a cannon, and pinpoint accuracy. His job was to feed Emmitt and throw to Irvin & Novacek on 3rd down. He was better than Rodgers.
The problem with Rodgers is gonna be his ego and his old man body. He still has a decent arm, but zero mobility (mobility used to be a major strength for him). He also has football smarts. Rodgers actually played pretty solid. His first real action since the injury. With that being said he won’t be a Qb who will bail out the defenses issues or coaching issue. He’s just not that same Qb anymore.

The Jets have a lot of nice offensive pieces, but it's clear that a lot of their defensive players lack the heart, hunger, and/or talent to compete against the best teams in the NFL. The Jets' best chance of reaching the Super Bowl would be to install some kind of air raid or spread offense and try to outscore other teams.

The problem with Rodgers is gonna be his ego and his old man body. He still has a decent arm, but zero mobility (mobility used to be a major strength for him). He also has football smarts. BUT, his ego is gonna drive him to a lot of mistakes. And, the odds he gets hurt to miss significant time are very high. Ya gotta feel for the Jets. A jinxed franchise.

I agree with Troy that when the defensive line is hitting on all points, it drains the strategy of any offensive line.
That's why it's extremely mire effective and important to build a tougher responding offensive line that protects the QB and runs a game to ensure the pass rush happens .
