I think using the Snootch Rocket in the 56 is a GREAT idea, what the heck else good is the Rocket, honestly? Then at least all the work that went into that thing will pay off AND you'll have a super budget friendly 56 on the lot!! Sweet it's a win win!!
edit: as far as the JesStar (awesome back in it's day, I'm sure) Mortske as life goes, you WIN some and you LOSE all the rest!! At least you kinda got a video out of it..

Mortske, props to Mojo for calling that. I never would've guessed. I also would've sh** my pants when that shock released. There are a few things that scare me - lots of tension, high voltage electricity (3 phase or bigger), grinding wheels, and scissor jacks.
That olds is a pretty sleek looking car, too bad Olds has been defunct for like 20+ years (yeah, I know, 1990 was like 5 years ago, don't you feel the same?) That Impala you had was really damn cool. I wish I could've justified the 15 for it... until then I'll continue adding obscure cars to my checklist of crap I want to own. Finding the right older car that isn't beaten to snot is tough man!

I always liked the styling that Olds had back then. Learned something new about the speedo tying to the front wheel. That car must have spent a few of its earlier years in Illinois or Wisconsin judging by the rust. The interior is a save along with the glass. I have a 64 Olds radio in my collection as the guy who was scrapping one back in 74 gave it to me. Still fire it up every now and again.

I have owned two Jetstar and my parents owned one which were all bench seat column shift cars. My Dad had the 1966 - 394 - 4BBL, remember traveling at night with Mom driving on our way to Florida and she was cruising at 100 mph . That car was so smooth and powerful. My 1964 Jetstar had the Ultra High Compression 330 - 4BBL and one day driving to Wisconsin I walked a Caddy down no problem. My 1966 had a 435 that someone had swapped in, ran good but not as good as the 330.
Awesome cars and great memories which your channel brought back for me.

The ‘56 Vicky takes me back to the late 50’s when Dad was buying cars like these to drive them back and forth to work in the iron mines. It’s true, that on a still but humid night in Minnesota, you could hear those cars rust away. I will always respect and have a place in my heart for ‘55-‘57 Ford Vicky’s and Fairlanes. Well actually any Ford from ‘57 on back to Henry’s first 1903 Model A.

What a shame that this car was too far gone to be saved. It would have been a pretty sweet car back in its prime. And 1964 was the first year for the Olds 442, it's possible that those buckets seats might be the same. Or you might find someone with a 442 or Cutlass, that has a bench seat and they want buckets and possibly even that console. Good luck with it, and thanks for the video

One of my favorite model cars to build has been the 56 Ford Victoria. I always thought it was a nice elegant car. Nice find. Don't see those ever. That 64 Olds must have been up mid doors in water. Or the windows were left down and rained in the car a ton before it was put in the barn. I have only seen that much floor gone when it is a convertible. The 56 was certainly the best car in this video

Our shop worked on a lot of the 55 56 Fords back in the 60's, and a lot of the upper trim models had the power steering. One our customers had a fleet of 54 Ford school buses running 279 Lincoln Y Blocks and they all had power steering too. Love the Victoria body style and would be an interesting project for sure. All 64 Jet Stars came with the 394/HydraMatic. Too bad this one is so far gone. They were hot machines back in their day. Great parts car for somebody.

Hello Mortske: i think King Duff was correct ar the very beginning with his lazae fare arritude. 'Dad you bought a Dud" there is no ride in this one. PS keep the sway bars they are beefy. A heavy car when scrap prices go up time to recycle..
Monday morning coffee always a little more enjoyable with Mortske & Sir Duff.
