This last weekend at Pocono AM racing couldn't get out of their own way with a very good experience driver. Lets see how they do without the rookie or girl driver in the seat. Who are they going to blame them
Danica Patrick is the only female racecar driver to ever win an Indy Cars race in all of auto racing history. "Failie" Deegan would be another Milka Duno, slowpoke on the racetracks.
Isn’t Indycar racing harder than NASCAR. They don’t race in ovals, they race on race tracks and road courses which is significantly harder than turning left in an oval. If she struggled in NASCAR, how is she going to succeed in Indycar?
Just because she didn’t get to cup doesn’t mean she wasn’t successful. Danica ran Indycar before going to NASCAR. She ran a partial season in Xfinity one year and then moved up to Cup full time the very next season. Deegan has ran in several NASCAR sanctioned series and come close to winning several times. The problem I see as many have said, she has been fast tracked through many series by promoters, sponsors and NASCAR. She doesn’t have the experience to be top level competitive in the high level series yet.

Good, now I don't feel a need to watch Nascar at all. I enjoyed Nascar Racing 20yrs ago or 10yrs ago, today there is something missing, now it's a bunch of boys bumping and banging wrecking, used to be men out on the track racing
Yes, Nascar lost most of it's draw for me when they incorporated stage races. It is like two racing practices inside a race, but only a short race to win, not like the long distances of past years
No the real problem is NASCAR got rid of all the practice time and it hurts new drivers coming in because they don't know how the equipment runs and they get less time on the track instead of hours to practice you might have 15 minutes half an hour tops
Exactly correct, she needs to spend time on the race simulator and get used to the feeling of the tracks, it is so real that will help her, and quit running around with chase at dirt tracks
Let's be honest if it wasn't for social media, her Dad, and now her brother(who rips fr) she wouldn't have any of these opportunities. She might as well get paid while she can. The reality is it's over if she can't produce. IG fans or not.
Branching out is always a huge challenge. She does have talent, like the rest of us she needs to find her niche. I for one think those that are bashing her about social media. Need to remember we all need to make an income. Professional people need to be in the public eye, keeping up with personal appearances is important. It doesn't matter if you are a chef, tournament fisherman, gardener, artist. I say go for Young lady find that niche and give it gusto.

There is more than just NASCAR and Indy in the USA there is also NHRA which I actually prefer myself, fans have alot more access to the behind the scenes activities and you get 3-4 days of racing to attend

AM Racing is as if a bunch of guys watched a race from home and one day said, 'Hey, lets start a team'. They really don't know anything about setting cars up. Though, I will say that its not totally on them as it seems that Hailee didn't make it easy as it sounds like she didn't spend too much time around the shop during the week to help gel with the team and make the attempt to learn from each other. I think the best thing that AM could've done was to hire a retired driver as a mentor to Hailee who could bridge the gap between team and driver.

IMO any driver that spends more time on social media than honing her skills on the track is immature and not ready for the top levels of the sport. In my opinion, Indycar wouldn't be a good idea for Hailie Deegan for a few reasons: It is much different than any NASCAR division. The driving styles, cars, and tracks are very different. First off, 10 of the 17 tracks for the 2025 Indycar schedule are road courses and street courses. Hailie only ran at 2 of the 10 road courses while in the Truck Series, and only 5 of the 17 overall tracks. Second, The cars are much more complex, as well as being aerodynamically and technologically different than any ride in NASCAR. Third, passing, shifting and turning will occur more often. Finally, the chances of getting airborne and/or wrecking are higher, and injuries may be more likely.

IndyNXT, I can see that and she might be able to do pretty okay. Chadwick is a good Driver and will be a good mentor for Hallie. I love watching IndyNXT. I think she can excel in that Series and hope she gets the opportunity this Season. Paddle shifting is something she will adapt to and she did run in the ROAR with the Sport Cars which use that style of shifting, plus, the Simulator at Andretti Motorsports will get her up to speed. Not sure what the rules are that allow Drivers to test cars before they get into a specific team, but, I'm sure Andretti will want to make sure she is a good fit with speed, the controls, etc.
I am pretty sure Andretti has stated that he has or wants a fourth car for pay drivers. Not saying she is a pay driver, or that it is a bad thing, but you couldn't ask for a better team to let you pay for the equipment they run.

You can’t put AM racings lack of good finish’s on anyone but Hailie……she is taken out of the car for 1 race and that race they get a top ten finish (granted it was with Lagano but still his first start in a long time)…. IndyNXT, I can see that and she might be able to do pretty okay. Chadwick is a good Driver and will be a good mentor for Hallie. I love watching IndyNXT. I think she can excel in that Series and hope she gets the opportunity this Season. Paddle shifting is something she will adapt to and she did run in the ROAR with the Sport Cars which use that style of shifting, plus, the Simulator at Andretti Motorsports will get her up to speed. Not sure what the rules are that allow Drivers to test cars before they get into a specific team, but, I'm sure Andretti will want to make sure she is a good fit with speed, the controls, etc.

I am pretty sure Andretti has stated that he has or wants a fourth car for pay drivers. Not saying she is a pay driver, or that it is a bad thing, but you couldn't ask for a better team to let you pay for the equipment they run.

Driving at the pro level in any big series requires a level of personal accountability higher than any modern female is capable of. That's why the used to somewhat succeed, i.e. Michelle Mouton but havent for years other than NHRA here and there.

You can’t put AM racings lack of good finish’s on anyone but Hailie……she is taken out of the car for 1 race and that race they get a top ten finish (granted it was with Lagano but still his first start in a long time)…. I like Hailie but she hasn’t lived up to expectations….maybe Indy will be a better fit for her
