Great work! If you're obsessed with Isnt She Lovely, you should consider transcribing Ben Paterson's version: ruclips.net/video/C1DnZ0piQp8/видео.html ;)
Ok so I'll lock myself into a room with basic food and water and learn this piece until I can play it exactly like that. See you in 20 to 30 years guys. Wish me luck.
Wouldn't that defeat the purpose? This is a transcription, from someone who was fooling around and improvising. Better to learn music theory and practice until you can do the same thing, not play it exactly the way someone else has.
rillloudmother words are a lot more easy to figure out than notes lol. Not everyone has perfect pitch, or tons of transcription experience you clown. We get it, it must be easy for you, congrats
Software can easily auto transcribe piano music into midi, then you just need to organise it into sheet music. Not that im saying thats how Timothy does it.
I love how you can tell he really FEELS the harmonies continually folding in on themselves, and how much easier it is to notice things in this arrangement from your transcription. You've outdone yourself. Instant sub.
Great Video It got me very pumped up, and excited, and thoroughly enjoyed it! I really appreciated your hard work and dedication to transcribing this arrangement.
hey john - no clue if you'll ever see this but whenever I hear this song and just beautiful jazz piano in general, I think of you & I think of camp and the summer of 2016. This isn't a love confession but thank you for your special part in some of the most amazing memories of my life so far & I hope that you play piano forever and ever. I promise I will. stay peachy, v
Waow ! Amazing version of this amazing tune by an amazing performer. Pierre-Yves Plat is one the best pianists I have ever heard, he is a virtuoso, but he is also funny and enthusiastic : not that frequent.
Loving this version of this song...Not going to try to play it like you but will definitely take some ideas from you...mind you I've always played this solo, but never up tempo like this or with breaks at 03:35. Thank you sooooo much for posting and sharing.
I've been waiting for a very long time that an incredible person can make an incredible transcription from this incredible arrangement. Thank you very much !
@@NinaZemlock, but sometimes it is a bit easier to get some help from sheet music to get those obscure chords that you can't hear too clearly. So I do try to get the chords sheets, or sheet music to help with that. but other than that, playing by ear in my opinion is more comfortable.
Even better, playing by ear - or rather, having just a reference - means you'll develop your own style, adding or removing sections the way you want to. That way you're creating your very own version!
Hi! I’m an amateur jazz pianist, been mostly playing classical all my life. I was wondering what the white notes with X’s in them meant. Thank for the help!
In this case they're used to represent cluster chords (really the pianist kind of slapping his hand on the keys without too much concern for the notes in the middle to give a percussive sound). You wouldn't see this too often in musical notation meant to be played from, but this is a transcription of what is essentially improv or an unwritten arrangement.
Amazing!!!!! What a player. Does anyone know what program 😅I s used for the notation??? Logic messes up the left and right hand and it never looks right.
Please could you give me the left hand chord at 00:59 i can t figure out what is the chords. You forgot it in your transcription. Thanks for all your work !!!
If you can't tell, I'm kind of obsessed with Isn't She Lovely! This is the one of six pianists' takes I've transcribed. Enjoy.
I can tell you're such a master! God bless you Timothy. All the best!
@@MichaelV_piano Thanks and God bless you too :)
A song worth being obsessed with
Thank you!

This is how I dream of playing. The energy of this piece speaks of sheer uncontainable joy and gets me emotional every time.

*Couldn’t see his comment after now on
@olivier Deme ..... 2 months of very focused effort you could do it
LOL same here bud

Pierre-Yves is a pianistic genius! He is a gift to piano lovers everywhere. I always look forward to his videos. Great job, Timothy, here! Brilliant!
Thanks Suzy!
@@TimothyGondola Very welcome. I'm a huge fan of Yohan Kim, too. I think he's already one of the greats of all time. Incredible to say that, I know.
Suzy Florida Yohan is extremely talented
Great work!
Thank you Aimee, I'm a big fan of your work as well!
He shreds this tune, absolutely destroys it! Never tire coming back to this. It’s over too soon.
Thanks for the arrangement. I took it and played it at a restaurant last week and people loved it. It is a lot of fun to play.
Definitely the jazziest arrangement of anything I've ever heard. Loved it!
I don't know what would be more difficult, play it or put it exactly on music sheet! My gosh
Accurate transcription is harder. It's not difficult to play. Depends on how good you can play. ;-)
why do folks always think it's hard to write down music? is it hard for you to write down words that somebody else has said?

@@meszian you still need to pick through all the garbage those things spit out along with the actual notes.
I love how part of this guy's style is just smashing the keys with his palm, it makes me smile :)
Coronavirus quarantine? Perfect time to learn a song.
my thoughts precisely
More like 16 at this Point..
Tiempo expendido bien 😄

Good luck
153-165 is just otherworldly levels of "that looks like so much fun to play"

I appreciate it Ian, gracias
Wow, I was not prepared for that groove. What a great performance (and transcription)!
What an extraordinary way of simplifying the writing in bar 145 and similars. Never saw that! Genius Tim !
WOW. I’m blown away by that piece.
This is way easier than it seems at first! One of the most fun songs i’ve played in awhile. Great transcription of this interpretation!
This is such an incredible version. Great work transcribing!

So good~!!👏🏼
In bar 173 it's actually wrong counted, he plays a note every 2 bars and the claps are at the 3 beat of every bar
Unbelievable!
It's strange... To learn it by ear would be for me far more simple than learn the song with the note sheet :D The notes look confusing to me 😂
Same, bro.😂

Amazing!! Wow i've subbed, awesome arrangement and playing!
bravo !!!
what do the crossed out notes at 3:11 mean?
It's when Pierre-Yves is playing chords with this palm, so there's no real way to tell which notes are under his hand.
