اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ فَرَّقُوۡا دِيۡنَهُمۡ وَكَانُوۡا شِيَـعًا لَّسۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِىۡ شَىۡءٍ ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَمۡرُهُمۡ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ يُنَـبِّـئُـهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ﴿6:159﴾
(6:159) Surely you have nothing to do with those who have made divisions in their religion and become factions.141 Their matter is with Allah and He will indeed tell them (in time) what they have been doing.

Rightly said! It baffles me that many can't follow this simple advice. Follow the Quran and the sunnah, it's that simple. Why should one bother aligning themselves with a sect when they could easily be misled?
@@faroukhussein5394 there is no sunnah of muhammed in the Quran and no sunnah of the prophet in the Quran. There is only the sunnah of Allah in the Quran. A true Muslim only follows the Quran which Allah swt has sent down and not baseless hadiths after it. The Quran has detailed everything brother.
Bro I also give this references but, someone mentioned the Tirmidhi hadith,
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The Jews split into seventy-one sects, or seventy-two sects, and the Christians similarly, and my Ummah will split into seventy-three sects."
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "What befell the children of Isra'il will befall my Ummah, step by step, such that if there was one who had intercourse with his mother in the open, then there would be someone from my Ummah who would do that. Indeed the children of Isra'il split into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will split into seventy-three sects. All of them are in the Fire Except one sect." He said: "And which is it O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "What I am upon and my Companions."
So, is he refering to the group which is make no divisions?

Just because Our Prophet PBUH told us only one sect is correct, it does not mean we need to join a sect
Joining to a sect means we abide by the teachings of the sect & this is the real cause of 73 sects
If we all simply followed the Quran & Hadith, we would only have one sect
To be amongst the correct sect, we must follow the Quran and Hadith strictly
Before the arrival of all the 73 sects, the solution was follow the Quran & Hadith

The reason why we need a group is
All groups agreed on quran only, where can we take hadiths from.
Quran tells us to pray but it doesn't mentioned in quran how to so we have to follow the prophet to learn how to pray, how to fast, how to pay zakat etc. So the only righteous group is sunnis AKA ahlu sunna. And the reason is
Shiites call abubakar,umar,uthman,aisha hafsa etc as disbelievers so as i understood from your comment you join no group and you're muslim but let me ask you do you consider those great companions as disbelievers and where do you take hadiths from .because they call sahih bukhari and muslim "sunni books"
Even dr zakir naik himself who's saying don't make sects and not telling people who's wrong and right. Quote hadiths from sahih bukhari and muslim. Which is only believed by ahlu sunna or sunnis.
Also search on youtube the believes of shia it's terrifying. They believe that
Ali,fatima,hassan and Hussain were sinless just like prophets and angels.
And they say "OH ALI" thats shirk disbelief also they believe that there imams who got revelation from allah after the prophet's death.

It's quite simple. Even the prophet Muhammad SAW gave the perfect advice. He said to follow the Quran and his sunnah, period. No need to ally ourselves with any sect (which will undoubtedly bring about confusion). Idk why many find this hard to follow.
An objective reader would almost certainly conclude that the Quran is less a product of divine origin than Muhammad’s imagination. The Quran tells Muslim men that they may have sex with women captured as slaves. Even worse the passage is repeated in four different places. By contrast, there is not a single verse that tells Muslims that they are to pray five times a day. Wouldn’t a perfect book teach perfect morality?
Substantial portions of the Quran particularly suras 33 and 66 are equally self-serving and address the sex, money or respect from the wives to which Muhammad is entitled. Moreover, several such passages are also repetitive. Now, couldn’t Allah have thought of a more important message for mankind than telling us several times over that Muhammad may sleep with an unlimited number of women? And I'm really surprised when some Muslims believe that all that should be immortalized on a tablet in heaven.
@@Shaydanwase You say the Shia faith is terrifying. But don't you know Shia is mentioned four times in the Quran? One of the surahs that mention Shia is in surah as-Saffat (83:84) and it says:
"And indeed Ibrahim is truly one of his Shia (group), remember when he came to his Lord with a pure heart."
Meanwhile, there is also the word Shia in the Hadith more than three times. One of the hadiths of the Prophet once said:
"O Ali, you and your Shia (your group) on the Day of Judgment will be happy and satisfied," and he said again: "This (Ali) and his Shia (his group) are the ones who will gain victory on the Day of Judgment."
With this we find that the word Shia has been mentioned in the Quran and Hadith but there is no mention of Sunni, Salafi and other sectors that are known today. If interpreted with what the Prophet once said about the 73 sectors of Islam of which only one sector will enter heaven, it is most likely Shia. But there's no need to worry because life after death doesn't exist, according to a well-respected physicist. So we as an advanced breed of monkeys on this minor planet has to abandon all our ridiculous beliefs and just focus on the logical knowledge in our own world that there are many more that we still do not understand.

Sects are always created by people;; there are no sects in Islam as well as Hinduism.... People who deviate from right path form a sect... See the teachings of Shias, Barelvis, Deobandis.... What do these sects of Islam teach? They teach polytheism to people and asking from graves to help them......The only group that is saved from such shirk (polytheism) and is in the right path in today's world and teaches pure monotheism and teachings of Quran; is the group of Ahl E Hadees people.... Ahl E Hadees is not a sect, because it is not deviated from right path....And Ahl E Hadees is just a name that they invented, to be distinguished from the people of shirk and innovations....Ahl E Hadees means "followers of Quran and Hadiths (sayings of Prophet SAW)"; they teach pure Islamic teachings and u will never find anything against Quran and Hadiths in them....

That sign bcome famous by Ottoman,bcz of ottoman infuence some other empires used it. So muslims also started thinking it as sign of islam. In reality it has nothing to with islam..

Sunni is following quran and authentic hadith whereas shia is different, they follow ali and hussein, son in law and grandson of prophet respectively.
Well that is yes and no.
Because if that was so why do sunni call themselves sunni or by any sect? Allah swt do not adress us as sunni nor did prophet Muhammad saws adress himself or sahaba as sunni. That is something that came later on those sects and what does Allah say about sect/making divisions?

Firstly Sunni means the people which follow Quran Pak, Prophet S.A.W hadees, and his companions. If We are calling ourselves Sunni because we are telling people that we are not from those who are enemies of prophets' S.a.w companions.

Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many inconsistencies.

By Observer and Space with matter: We pray and rely to Causer of all Origins that perfected the World, *best for Observer is that The Answerer answers and frees the Eternal Soul!*
By the Subconscious and the Controller and ego: The world is for Soul's challenges, so when it perfects them, Intuition rejoices, when it fails, then dirty and enslaved is its mind! Increase in knowledge, and be strong in observance and energy and in your Abilities, learn by the way how world executes! As the serene Observer sees you as a soul that could be him and himself as being your like by Existence, and will be sad for you to be astray, as Man rejoiced from Lord's treasures and help, and in stubborness degenerates, *every matter can be traded for sake of Lord!*
Deep in the Blessed way you can choose any possibility to be in or execute as everything is a possibility by Existence! Eat from Earth fruit seeds, wheat grass and ferment plants!

When it comes to choosing the right sect in Islam let's put it this way:
We have a hadith that says that ummah will be humiliated as long as we don't get back to our original faith.
This means that we should look up to those generations that were honoured and not humiliated.
Those generations are first three generations of Muslims (salaf).
Besides that, we have a hadith that says that first three generations of Muslims will live pure Islam.
May Allah support us on The Right path.
Idk why Brother Zakir cannot say this. He ignores this hadith when it comes to this question. Perhaps he is doing so to avoid confusion among non Muslims

No sects are allowed it’s that simple! None. We are Muslims. And Allah has forbade sects.
If you read Sunni hadiths you are effectively classing yourself as a “Sunni” as you are reading books outside of the Quran. Explain why you only read the Sunni ones and not the Shia ones. By that you’re effectively classing yourself as a Sunni. A Muslims only relies on the Quran and the teachings of the Quran and nothing else after it.

@@DaZzeRGaming what does Sunni mean? The one who follows the sunnah. The Sunnah of who? The Prophat sallallahu alayhi wasallam. The Prophet of Who? The Prophet of Allah subahanawataala. Allah Azzawajal says to establish Salah. How do you do that if you only follow what is mentioned in theQuran? By doing jumping jacks? I have seen some shias and sufis doing such things.
As for us real Muslims who follow the Sunnah/way of The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam we know how to perform the Salat alhamdulillah.
Now what does Shia mean in Arabic? It literally means Sect.
After you have this understanding and reflect upon your comment you will realise how incoherent you sound and maybe learn something new today.

Not the answer I was hoping it would be, but for a person searching for Islam, it is a good starting point. But he/she will then come to the world reality of what is Sunni or Shia. I hope you can give your opinion about the four Imams and what were the reason they came to the decision of making sects or sects were made after them. Because Imam Bukhari(r.a) didn't take part in any sect whereas there should have been one by the name of Bukhari but there isn't. Hoping one day you can give your opinion about it.
I know, you clearly say that you respect the four Imam but you derive your decision first from Quran and then Sunnah. If not found in both then you'll go for Igma I think. But looking forward to your view on the sects in Islam excluding Shia.
Don't be so sure that the rope of Allah is what you think it is. Allah knows best. But Hadith Thaqalain is the guidance

We can't label people as kaafirs based on their acts....Maybe the person doing this is unaware of what he is doing, maybe he fears of something, etc...but if the person knows the truth and yet doesn't stop grave-worshipping,, one should still not label him as kaafir because he may improve later before his death....
