How did Zakir destroy the boys ego? That boy in example is not stealing, he returns what he borrows and therefore he is not a thief and Zakir is comparing a thief to this boy.

I used to be a fan of Zakr Naik but more and more he is coming across as arrogant and not letting people speak, his replies are not always making sense. May allah give us all hidayat. brother Zakir has still done alot to bring Islam to people but may allah give him patience.

This question itself is a logical fallacy. You cannot claim to be good without setting up the standards for good and bad. If you're standard for good and bad was how happy you were then Dr Zakir Naik has already crumbled your argument.
Dr Zakir Naik was right but the boy had a different question he was a good human but not only a good Muslim so he was asking why I should offer prayer and all other practices other Islamic practices as long as I'm good for humanity. If we for a moment just forget the day of judgment and see Islam as any other philosophy that is trying to set new standards to make the earth more peaceful for humans then Why practicing is necessary as I'm already a good human without practicing it?
