This is really cool, I'm looking to get a set of larger oil pastels to do an underpainting on large, 22×30 watercolor paper. I have the Paul Rubens Haiya 72 set oil pastels & love them, but now, after seeing your video on these, am gonna get them. I love your art style, you definitely stand out. It's like music, if everyone plays the same, no one stands out, that's why, as a guitarist, I don't play in cover bands, I do my own thing & get work, just be yourself, & that's what I like about you, you are AWESOME!!! Keep On Creating, Rock On & God Bless.
@ the folks from Paul Rubens specifically stated that they are. I have seen discussions online whether they truly fit the definition of oil pastels though.
I love your style ❤ I would hate it for myself too messy but I love seeing the outcomes you can get with your style and how it always seems to end up looking great. 👍 I love my Paul Rubens oil pastels
Wow! Those are some really big crayons. 😉 I don't have any experience using oil pastels so I don't think I could get much control drawing with them that large. I have a set of oil pastel sticks I purchase some time ago and have yet to use them. Maybe it's time to get them out of the drawer. 🤔 By the way, the fashion model turned out really nice.
There are sprays you can use to seal your work. I put parchment paper in between my pages in my art journal. I do not seal or varnish my sketchbook artwork. If I am doing work on canvas that I am selling I usually use a varnish. However, for oil pastels there are aerosol spray fixatives you can use like Winsor Newton. However, you would need to consider whether you want a matte finish or semi gloss finish. I hope that helps!
She's fabulous! She looks like shes enjoying a brilliant summer's day. Those pastels look fantastic!
Thanks so much! 😊✨

I’m really wanting to try these out , I’m so glad you’re showing them to us , Thank you. What About drying time?
They seem to dry in good time. I checked on it later that night and it was drying well.
Beautiful! Maybe I missed it but how do you seal it? I’ll probably be trying this in my art journal.
