  • We attended the launch of the Ducati Multistrada Enduro in Sardinia. The launch included plenty of off-road riding on top of the normal tarmac endeavours.

Twice (off and on road) you mentioned that this bike was also suited to the less experienced rider. For this particular model, that is a big compliment (funny how it would be an insult if directed towards most of the current Ducati line-up).

I had one of these until recently. Initially loved it. Lots of pluses but the reason i sold it was because for the forced neutral this bike kept finding. Gearing up from 2-3, 3-4 4-5 etc the bike would often find a neutral setting and them grind the gears as i tried to get it back in to gear. Great heritage with Ducati but this gearing issue is not isolated to me. Did you find this when testing this bike? Has anyone else experienced this?

Appreciate the particularly expert viewpoints and riding footage - after having enjoyed much time on the S4R, I imagine this motor is that good but even better - Ducati definitely has a real winner here and it's now prime on my bucket list - I'll still probably keep my GSA in any case... Much thanks for you and your team's excellent work - it really does make a difference! Something I find interesting is that Ducati, as I understand it, is now owned by Audi, who appears to have calmed Ducati's wildly creative side and helped focus it more on perfection and evolution, supporting them in keeping the Italian soul of Ducati all the while - I hope that delicate balance continues!

What about new Ducs reliability? I guess you cannot tell from just a test ride, right? The bike looks awesome and you did a great review here.

We definitely can't tell from a single day test, but Ducati have improved their reliability hugely in the last five years, if that helps :)

After owning a Multistrada for 3.5 years, I can confidently say I will buy another one. Deciding right now whether or not to trade mine for an Enduro. Mine wasn’t problem free, but it never failed to start and take me down the road as long as the battery was charged.

Hows the 950 multistrada as an adventure bike?

Terrible. It's a fantastic sport tourer.

      Well that's negative :P
It's amazingly easy to ride. The engine is very friendly. And picking a bike up is all about the right technique. If you subscribe, we'll have a video showing you how very soon :P

+2gud4umenglez Did you watch the review or comment without listening? ;)

Brake Magazine Watched the whole thing, thought at the end that there must have been Ducati reps around and couldn't mention anything about trusting a Ducati off the tarmac as your name would be ticked off the launch invite list ;)

We would have very little issue telling a Ducati rep that their bike sucks XD

Brake Magazine Should point out for clarification on my original comment that I wasn't criticising it as a bad bike only that I wouldn't trust any Ducati off the road well afar from parts. I grew up around Ducati's all of my childhood and I still can't trust them even though I hear people saying they are 'better' now.

I bought one based off this review and a few others the bike lasted 12 months and needed and engine rebuild . In the last 12 months I’ve been able to ride it 20 days . It’s been in the shop non stop . And yes I bought a new left over. Worst bike ever .only bike I regret buying .

Brake Magazine thanks . I’ve spoken with the ceo of ducati North America and they fixed the bike a few times. $11,000 in repairs . But won’t buy it back and no Ducati dealer will take it. They say they can’t even sell those bikes and have to pretty much give the new ones away. Every bmw/Ducati dealer I’ve visited for service told me I should have gone with a GSA or Japanese’s bike. This from ducati dealers themselves. I hope in future reviews by all of you RUclips reviewers take into account real world use and not just a weekend getaway review. I purchased this bike to tour Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, the power 48,Mexico and Cuba.
      My ride of a lifetime.
The bike broke 12 months into the trip and I was not able to finish 60 percent of the trip . I don’t think anyone should take into account any of these press launch reviews when looking at motorcycles . They just seem to be nothing more then paid vacations in exchange for a product endorsement commercials.
It’s to bad because I like your videos.
