I don't know who was responsible for making these MGT process videos happen but thank you! they are great. Lots of us have been curious about the begin to end process. :)
As one of the lucky ones who has received and unpacked and assembled their table, the unboxing is beautiful. I documented the CRONCH that UPS did to my boxes, but the interior was fine and the parts were beautiful. That blue protective sheeting even feels nice, and the wood is incredibly smooth and smells wonderful. I know it's a nightmare waiting. I know they're behind schedule, but y'all - this shit is well made. Also... I sure hope that's a number Jason isn't attached to, because you just gave it to 90,000 people.
It's been a refreshing change seeing this vs several, we have a problem, this is broken, etc videos. Those were really making it seem that Wrymwood was a disorganised mess. These actually show it for what it is, a well oiled machine.
Yep. I already Venmo’d Jason money just for the hassle he is going to have to deal with. Would be awesome if this turned into something nice but I have a feeling it’s gonna be a nightmare for him
I look forward to the follow-on series where Doug visits all kinds of factories and is just totally puzzled by how all the machines work.. Every episode ends with "Oh Now I Understand"
Doug actually does visit other facilities in order to expand what Wyrmwood can do, but I guess they can't all be entertaining or they may have rules about recording in their facility.
I HAVE made holes professionally... I'm a chef and a baker so I like holes in my cheese, I put holes in animals when I'm breaking them down for service. Hell, I'm off today and made Bagels this afternoon! Well done guys, it's awesome to get a proper walkthrough of the processing here and all the moving parts that go into it, even just the attention to the finishing process is fantastic!
Awesome to see the complete process of the creation of an MGT! Gives a whole new context to past episodes when some machines showed up out of nowhere. Also, those armrests are way more intricate than previous episodes gave them credit for, great video!
The look on Rich's face while Doug was playing with the insert rod was very much of the patient father watching a pair of kids slowly figuring out a problem... all the while reminding himself 'These are my bosses' over and over xD
Big yes vote for chairs in the next round of MGT. I don't really need another table, but getting some nice chairs to match the table I just got would be awesome.
I think I have watched every single Wyrmlife episode at this point, almost as soon as they come out. It's been a trip following you guys, and I look forward to the next opportunity I have to support the company and buy some high quality craftmanship.
That boxing is actually SO CLEAN. I've built dozens of pieces of furniture and have never had a product that didn't use way too much foam packaging. Your packaging looks way better to use
Because the customers only see the end product, watching videos like this is fascinating to me. Something to remember is that because Wyrmwood created their products from nothing, they had to make up ALL of these processes. They had to learn, likely by trial and error, how much cushion to pack the rails in, how thick the boxes had to be to protect the toppers, how long to leave the parts in the oven...all of it. It's impressive that they have come so far in just a few years.
The CLUSTER of a ramp--up was great content. But as a backer who's dining room table is falling apart this makes me so happy. I'm ready for my table but I sadly don't think I can wait for chairs. I'm going to need some chairs that suit my table right away.
MGT Kickstarter II will be bigger as many of us now will have confidence in what we are getting due to videos like this and the last one. The transparency has been amazing.
okay but like this is so cool, I like seeing the boxing guys and the like shipping areas and the non main cast people, its cool to see the other stuff and meet the people who dont necessarily have as 'glamorous' jobs as Bennet an Crazy Ed
Yes to the MGT chairs. Also understand design and planning has a lead time before production begins and there really can’t be a production delay not to mention leading with supply chain before production.
The editing combination of not cutting out random shots like them waiting for the tool sound to stop, and then cutting someone off after they start to say something makes me die laughing every time @9:50
AllllllRIGHT! 🙌 High fives, stoked for the next round! Let's keep the MGT machine rollin'! Thanks for showing us how it's all made and being open about stuff like talking about MGT round 2 (you explanation totally makes sense) And congrats on getting the kinks worked out & beating new production/fulfillment goals Wyrmwood team!
Sign at 8:00 in "Eye protection, Ear Protection, and Protective Clothing must be worn at all times in this area." while showing a guy with none of those in there. 😆😆
Excited for MGT 2. Way back there was mention of making the game deck more than a block of wood, and I’m really hoping to see a type of game deck with some on board storage!
I would love for you to publish what the seal and clear coat mixtures are. In my experience, kitchen tables need some more layers every 10-20 years. Matching finishes is a pain, even if just for texture/gloss matching. Addendum: Yes, start working on the new Kickstarter. 1 year to start up and scale up a production line is impressive. With current supplier issues, it's gonna take longer this time around, so start working on long lead/custom machines long before the KS launch if you can
I've watched a bunch of videos about autobody painting. It turns out prepping to spray paint is pretty much the same process regardless of what specific material you're working with.
a) I hope these episodes help people understand why Wyrmwood costs what it does and the quality that goes into it. b) I am equally fascinated by what is automated (the CnC box machine blew my mind) and what is done by hand.
I would love to see a deep dive of Prophecy table design vs MGT to help folks decide between the two. This series was fantastic. That said I'm still terrified of Prophecy shipping and shipping costs but I love the angled look of the Prophecy. If you are going to do chairs. Try to convince us they are actually ergonomic instead of just "Cool". We are going to have to sit on these forever. IMHO I kinda think the ship has sailed on wooden chairs vs gaming chairs for affordable ergonomics (yes I'm setting on an Aeron in my office but outfitting a game table with Aerons all around is cost prohibitive). Maybe you can partner with Secret labs to produce the perfect ergonomic board gaming chair with a Wyrmwood logo.
there is 100% a frame where you can see jasons phone #. probably want to take that down. easly saw it and know how to look frame by frame. maybe re upload this one bois...
Darn I was really hoping to see their rubber gasket process for connecting the toppers. That is something I haven't been able to figure out for my own projects.
I’m a nurse. I poke holes in people. I also do lathe work on a mandrel, so I have a drill press to make holes in wood, resin, or a combination of both.
Please include either a hexagonal or ideally octagonal design in the next modular game table! I'm sure I'm not the only person with a square dining room that isn't really conducive to rectangular tables!
I will say its nice to revisit how the tables go through production. Glad to see things are in full swing. But why so many boxes of MGT and not shipped out?? Lol. Jk. But my favorite comment in this video was Doug talking about the next mgt kickstarter and that they will develop chairs to go with these tables. I am SUPER psyched for that to happen. I do want some matching chairs for my table and if you happen to put the Wyrmwood Throne (with the tree back) in that mix I will guarantee I will buy 2 (Absolutely).
I feel like Wyrmwood needs to start branching off from just the 'table' portion of tabletop gaming. Put in some design work and create an entire room aesthetic that would appeal to those wanting to create a gaming room/space. Unless you're creating stuff that's 100% new to tabletop gaming, then you're going to soon run out of things to add to the tables themselves
Just getting caught up here and lots of older episodes about scrap/waste wood. Sell it. You're talking about amazing domestic and exotic hardwood scraps. Offer one size, by weight boxes sent USPS, filled with scrap wood. Plenty of woodworkers/crafters watching the channel would buy it. It would probably pay for a full time employee to do it.
Kinda surprised that more people aren't wearing masks/breathers with spraying all that dust and the 'clear coats.' Trying to get the Wyrmwood equivalent of 'Black Lung'?
This may not apply to MGT so much as Prophesy, but what's the status of White Glove Delivery? I know there were a couple of shots taken at it, but it seems like it never really got underway.
I don't know who was responsible for making these MGT process videos happen but thank you! they are great. Lots of us have been curious about the begin to end process. :)

Nah it's just the machines that they bought causing the problems. Trusting the manufacturers of said machines.
The probably just focus on broken stuff because drama makes more fun video content
Looking forward to the Wyrmlife episode where they have a meeting discussing the ramifications of the editing goof in the end bit.
its going to be quite a thing... its easy to spot as well.
Yep. I already Venmo’d Jason money just for the hassle he is going to have to deal with. Would be awesome if this turned into something nice but I have a feeling it’s gonna be a nightmare for him
You don't even have to try to read it if you watch it in 1080p
Looks like Jason needs a new number...
Though at this point you can make that a Wyrm lyfe phone number...
I'm like uh that's Jason's number.....
Blame Doug
@@themarszeppelin Resisting the urge to text Jason and say hello from a Wyrmling
@@threeseven7894 blame the video editor that slid the blur effect off of Doug's phone...
Seriously
I look forward to the follow-on series where Doug visits all kinds of factories and is just totally puzzled by how all the machines work.. Every episode ends with "Oh Now I Understand"
It's just like How It's Made but they're talking directly to Doug and the show is called Ohhhhh.. XD
Doug actually does visit other facilities in order to expand what Wyrmwood can do, but I guess they can't all be entertaining or they may have rules about recording in their facility.
It should be called “Ohhhhhhhh, now I understand “. Maybe cover some things within their wheelhouse/ interest
I HAVE made holes professionally... I'm a chef and a baker so I like holes in my cheese, I put holes in animals when I'm breaking them down for service. Hell, I'm off today and made Bagels this afternoon!

@13:31 Jason's cellphone # is clearly visible. Should I call him and let him know?
Venmo him something
I love that a machine I made confused Doug
Whats up with Eric not wearing a respirator while industrial sanding?
Always nice to see the manufacturing process

Can't wait for the next wyrmlyfe where we get to hear all the messages left on Jason's phone
That number was already public.
@@compil003 then why blur it in the first place?
@@stephenking5251, same reason to ask why did they not blur it properly. I don't really know I don't work there.
Every time we talk about MGT I am reminded that I missed the Kickstarter. I look forward to being able to order one of my own!
Big yes vote for chairs in the next round of MGT. I don't really need another table, but getting some nice chairs to match the table I just got would be awesome.

Love seeing this video. Just got my table a couple weeks ago, and yeah, great stuff, amazing to see the folks who made it happen.
... so i guess jason now needs a new phone number. LOL.
I love these videos cause it really shows all the work and care put into the product and gives you a whole new appriciation for it all!
I love this Wyrmwood How Its Made episode! 🖤🖤
Thank you for the Nine Days... it was the highlight for me!

Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I kind of guessed at what was done during production, but seeing the process really explains more of the steps.
Is Jason fine with leaking his phone number? 13:31
Oh man, that's so easily legible too, someone should text him that Wyrmlife leaked his number in a video
I was gonna send him a screenshot but I don't wanna be a dick...
I love this process video. Very fun and entertaining as a woodworker myself.
@Wyrmwood, did . . . you deliberately *not* blur Jason's phone number when it was displayed on Doug's phone?
okay but like this is so cool, I like seeing the boxing guys and the like shipping areas and the non main cast people, its cool to see the other stuff and meet the people who dont necessarily have as 'glamorous' jobs as Bennet an Crazy Ed
Ha! My job is glamorous
You are rocking this.
Really liked the making of the package. It was like watching someone finishing an nice piece of art. :D
Nice now I have Jason's cellphone number.
Gosh I really love the editing in these recent videos, absolutely perfect!
This was a good video. I know MTG backers will be happy to see everything moving.
So great to see the whole flow in the company!
now we just need a video like thatg for every wyrmwood gaming product XD
Yes to the MGT chairs. Also understand design and planning has a lead time before production begins and there really can’t be a production delay not to mention leading with supply chain before production.
These are so awesome. I don’t know what it is but that boxing machine is amazing. Please keep doing stuff like this

HECK YEAH. That's the stuff I wanted to see. Thanks for taking us through the process so we can see how much work goes into these tables!
Yesss! Chairs for MGT!!! I thought I was going to be stuck with mismatched ikea chairs with such a great table.
We did ask for this, and I'm loving it
Some great sounds on this one!
Whoops. Sorry Jason.
this was honestly a great vid. Glad to get something like this now and again mixed in with all the yeaaah hahaha and boo-yaahs. keep em comin!
I'm just gonna say, this was an incredible video - it just popped and was smooth.
If we are talking about the next wave of MGT, I would love it if with this next wave, we could have The Game Deck with storage inside of it please?

I noticed this too... Pretty consistent for Wyrmwood given the attitudes of management. It's only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs.
Excited for MGT 2. Way back there was mention of making the game deck more than a block of wood, and I’m really hoping to see a type of game deck with some on board storage!

Modular game table benches along with the chairs.
Hell yeah to that August announcement, now I have a deadline to start putting monies to the side.
