I feel it's now or never for a decent revival of the Werewolf genre as the golden age is long past and there have been too few positive films in between. This Wolf Man teaser looks very promising to me but I'm more interested in what my amazing subscribers think, what say you? On that note, many thanks for your continuous support with my videos and I want you to know that I really appreciate it. I totally agree Dude that the director and cast of this brings hope for something special. The Pacific Northwest setting puts a different spin on it too. You haven't steered me wrong yet with your pre-release thoughts on recent movies. On a side note, "Strange Darling" is a wild ride well worth taking and only 98 more sleeps till "Nosferatu". HeHe
It'll take a lot to ever beat an American Werewolf in London. Maybe cause as a teenager I just was in love with Jenny Agutter! But, agree hope for a good modern adaptation.
@@michaelg.1786 hehe, yeah she had class 👌. I don't think this film will come close but I've convinced myself that with this cast and director, it could be something special.
If the character is more Human than Wolf then I'm not as interested. Someone needs to due a true sequel to American WereWolf in London. I wouldn't even mind if they used the exact same Kessler WereWolf but with modern effects.
@@Mr.imjussayn a sequel has been written by the son of the original director but that doesn't mean it will be good of course. I agree we need something akin to that film as I haven't felt scared in too many years 😭
@@JJWolford that's fair enough 👌. I'm hoping they eventually make American Werewolf and The Howling sequels so I can also get my full werewolf fix hehe!
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE The reason for my previous statement is that I like how the Wolfman style of Werewolf is a midground between the classic Werewolf and the human. I just find it more interesting. More like, at least visually, rather than some strange curse, the Werewolve virus simply brings out, both mentally and physically, the more primitive side of humanity.
@@JJWolford absolutely and if done well it can be extremely effective. I think the 2010 woodman touched on it. It certainly looked great at times but went downhill as the film went on, for me at least. Fingers crossed we get a well needed gem.
God, I remember the film. I think it was particularly horrible for me because I loved dogs and I was weirdly more accustomed to having some horrific alien as the antagonist haha! Yes, It does look like we'll get a glimpse of the virus and disease aspect of the transformation judging by the trailer. There was a newer trailer since I upload this as well.
Good teaser reaction, my dude! 😎 Oh man, that looks creepy. 😱 I can’t watch that, I'd totally freak out. 😳 I’d rather watch Teen Wolf with Michael J. Fox. 🐺📺
@@leonardopech2374 oh? I think I saw some crap floating around but I'd ignore stuff like that until we see more. I am extremely surprised that you have anything good to say about this. Everyone else thinks that its going to be absolute garbage. I will like it though.
@@JJWolford I haven't seen any other opinions from others, so I don't know what they found issues with to be honest. I try to react and analyse in the present and just talk about how it makes me feel intellectually and emotionally 👍. But, the movie could very well be terrible (I hope not) and trailers can be very misleading having not represented a film correctly. I just didn't get any bad vibes from what the trailer showed us and I love the cast. Also, the director has impressed me before. We'll see though. Did you enjoy the trailer at least?
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE Well, of course, no one really found anything wrong with the trailer, and, from what I saw, everything seems good and interesting. It was the images and costume of what was the literal monster that really threw people off and caused them to then hate on the entire thing. I was actually surprised that the title of your video was genuine, considering the amount of 99% hate videos of it. As for me I didn't really care what the monster actually looked like as long as it was creepy and doing some damage. Because I know the Leigh Whannell is going for a more realistic and, obviously, modern approach to his universal monsters movies. So, just because he's doing it in his own style people shouldn't hate on it. Sorry for the long reply.
@@JJWolford dude, I agree with you. I think I saw some image online that has almost psychedelic colours to it and looked silly but I just ignored it as nothing about that image matched the trailer haha! You're right about the director. I still cannot believe how much of a good job he did with The Invisible Man, talk about the term 'A new take'. Well, he really outside himself
