Socialisation worth the very small risk with a staffy 100% agree.

Another great video and I'd just like to add that puppies between the ages of 8-12 weeks should have enough antibodies passed down from the mother dog. So many antibodies in fact that some vets believe the vaccines in these young pups are rejected due to them. So are our puppies ever fully protected by the vaccines or does their own immunity actually build up just as nature intended? Not enough vets take into account killer T cells which are the immune systems memory cells (No one is testing for these), antibodies just show that the body has produced a response to something. I personally do not vaccinate my dogs any more. I used to and one of my puppies had a severe reaction which caused life long skin conditions and terrible lungs. The other puppy I vaccinated ended up with a heart murmur which was not present before vaccinations. I have done a ton of research on vaccinations and even the manufacturers often state that the boosters should be 3 yearly but many vets pester us annually as vaccinations are a large part of their income. This is not in the best interest of our pets! I now have a 12 week old puppy who is on a raw diet, helping to build her immunity and she has already been well socialised and she will not be having one single vaccine. If anyone wants more information on the over vaccinating of our pets here is a link, hoping it can help prevent unnecessary illnesses/suffering in our beloved pets www.doglistener.co.uk/depth-annual-dog-vaccination-dangers

@Ebubekir Ugurlu My puppy is now just over 5 months old and is doing great, thank you for asking. A few weeks ago she had kennel cough (which is basically a doggy cold but it can cause complications in puppies and older dogs, just like in humans). Loads of dogs over our local park, young and old caught it (even the vaccinated) and when comparing symptoms my puppy fared really well with minimal symptoms and fully cough free in just over a week. I gave my little one honey, vitamin C and echinachea. Some of the dogs were coughing so badly it disturbed their sleep and their owners! I found on a little research that there have been outbreaks of kennel cough all over the UK. I hope your pup is doing well too and that you've been able to look into the vaccination side of things. It's hard deciding what is in the best interest of our pets and that's why I'd advise anyone with concerns to research as much as they can. I've been researching this for years and stopped vaccinating my other two dogs for the last 6 years of their lives. They've since passed away due to old age at 15 and 16 years old. I know many people think homeopathy is some kind of quackery and each to their own but I personally have had positive results with it in the past and have used homeopathic nosodes for distemper/parvo and leptospirosis as directed by a homeopathic veterinarian with my new puppy. All the best with your puppy, wishing you both health and happiness.

Great video and great advice. I think it’s funny timing since where I live is currently in lockdown and for the most part humans can’t even socialize now until they get their jab 😜

I got my first staff back in 1988 and back then, as a rule of thumb, dogs are allowed out after they have their vaccine injections, plus they will need encouragement as they have not been outside nor on a lead and would be scared at first.

What does socializing the dog mean exactly? I been hearing that but I’m a first time dog owner and I do not understand! I have a 12 wk staffie mix.

SB Terrier is almost 6 months old. She doesn’t like to walk very much. And she loves to just be home. Very weird, she doesn’t like car rides either. And lately she has been itching a lot. Are staffy’s known to have allergy problems. I feed Merricks kibble very good stuff, and also raw Darwin’s pre packaged raw patties you can buy and have sent to the house.

Not sure if my response will help. I'm not a dog behaviourist like Will but I've owned Staffordshire Bull Terriers for over 20 years and they are a very people orientated breed. They would most likely lick a burglar to death. But on saying that as with most dog breeds they sense when something is wrong and if any harm is coming to their pack (you included) they would probably defend you. If you're looking for a guard dog, Staffies are not the best breed.

@@realitycheckuk6810 Thanks for the response! Not really looking for a guard dog I've been stuck on the staffy for years just waiting for the right time and right breeder. Thanks again

@@hamzaaboabdo7586 You're welcome. All the best finding a good breeder and getting yourself a wonderful Staffie companion. You will not regret it, they are truly amazing dogs. I love all dogs but Staffies just stand out for me.
