I love the way you speak the truth. As a black female I left the USA. And I feel 100% better in all ways. I have not made it to Africa as of yet, but I am working on it. I have NEVER been so happy in my life. Thank you for sharing all of your info. You are the best. I wish you all the happiness in the world

I was the happiest I had EVER been in my life living abroad. Making it happen very soon again. This time it will be permanent. The best thing any Black woman can do for themselves is leave this country behind and take yourself and your resources elsewhere, especially where you're appreciated. We have no protection in this hellhole.

@@MindfulMoments1444 It’s sad, but I agree. I think most black women would be better off mentally if they moved elsewhere. It is risky. I wouldn’t call America a hellhole though. America is the primary reason why you can actually live abroad pretty easily. The global economy makes it possible, and the engine of the global economy is America. The fact that you were born in America allowed you to speak English as a first language, which is the international language of business. Do your research before you pick a place though. A lot of these countries are welcoming to tourists, but immigrants are an entirely different story. Uber right wing populism is spreading through Europe and South America like a wildfire. Sites like BIGO Live are live-streaming 24/7 and some of the bottom of the barrel blk women are on there literally reinforcing every negative stereotype you can think of for a global audience of 400M users. Be careful, the grass isn’t always greener. You’re used to a level of constitutional rights here that don’t necessarily exist in other countries.

The arab slave trade began long before the islamic conquest of Africa. It started long before the transatlantic slave trade and lasted much longer. About 1,300 years. Arabs were the first to enslave black africans and they laid the foundation for the transatlantic slave trade. Europeans found a flourishing slave trade when they arrived and all they saw was how black people were treated by arabs and even their own leaders...to them it was like "Oh I guess thats how its done here, we can also use some free labor, lets get into it." The arabs sold them their sea routes to establish their own slave trade. In many arab nations, its still happening to this day, on a smaller scale. Black people were taken advantage of by everyone.

Ashley forever fan here. However, as a Nigerian (American) man I think sometimes the black community in America just unloads racially without any actual focus. Certainly, America has its issues against Black women/people. However, how a "beef" that arises between Amanda and Issa Rae and Vanessa Anderson other black women becomes an America "not deserving black women" issue is completely beyond me. This really is just a squabble among a small circle that because everybody is loud about every issue, somehow becomes a topic discussed from America to South Africa and back.

We Black Americans see race in every damn thing. A true critical thinker looks at ALL data and evidence.
I think the biggest problem with BW in America is they resent the fact that they are not desired and praised like WW.
We have a very unhealthy obsession with White people.
Damn near every other race in America have issues with BW. But, BW never take ownership for their own shortcomings.

Ashley, black women are thriving in the US. I respect your opinion, and I respect you, but black women have more power than in other countries.
Honestly, I feel that black people in general will never be totally free in white society. I don't care if you are in North America or Europe. Total freedom will never be achieved.
We must stop always talking about the 6 figures jobs. Money and higher education are not everything, and it does make a person.
The key is to own. Own your own business and lifting up others and not depending on whites for approval.
The US, in my opinion, totally deserves black women.
