- An interview which has never been aired!
First of all I uploaded only raw video's without editing. One day I decided to upload a part of a DVD. It didn't work, so I asked my daughter to help. She was backing cookies and that didn't work as well, so we changed places and that DID work, LOL!
What a beautiful Family... Absolutely lovely.. so gentle and soft spoken.. Just raised up right.. the Mother gets all Respect!
MOST of the time, if a good man is in the home...FATHER KNOWS BEST.
They did something I’d not before ever seen. During a concert within a small club they came out to greet everyone table by table, very very handsome fellas, I mean, “ you hung on to your girl handsome”, and extremely gracious men despite the recent accolades they’d accomplished in late 70’s/early 80’s, poised and polished.
I love 💕 The Tavares, but Butch....( First one being interviewed from the bottom left) was and still is today. So fine and very handsome. Love his smile.❤️😊
I simply love Tavares 💖! When my grandson first saw this interview, he looked at Butch and said, “Grandpa!!!!” He really thought that was his grandfather, until I had to explain to him who he was. So when his grandfather came home from work, he ran up to him and said, “hi grandpa Butch”. I laughed so hard, I was crying 😂😂😂😂. I must admit though, my husband do look like Butch.

@GQBlue3 Their grandparents were all Cape Verdian, but they were born in the US, just like their parents. They spoke English and a Portugese dialect at home and they still use small words like 'tia' and 'tio' (aunt and uncle) They started singing Cape Verdian songs at streetcorners with their father.
It is really rare and hard to find interviews or concert videos from Tavares. Thank you all the more for sharing this Tavares interview!
So this is Butch! Excuse me this is my 1st Tavares interview(although I've known of some of their music). Finally I can see clear & up close video of him.....dayuum! I understand now. Wow!

Well the song was great a pradice an a church heaven to glory angel a penny for your thoughts something thats not currupt virgin like that never been touched those pure days.that song fits right in the old school

@luvureally An old neighbor of mine was called 'Zillweger' and he's from Switserland too! That's why I put an (?) to it because I think you pronounce Zillenger.

@luvureally I must say, I've just noticed the difference in accent between the Brittish and Americans, lol! You guys speak all English, do you? LOL! Does the New English accent sound like the British accent? Is that why they call that area New England? Do they say hearrrrt in the rest of the US??? Or are there even more accents? (I think there are!)

@luvureally So Renee Zellenger(?) wasn't British? WOW!! Well even here in Holland we have diffrent languages. Nobody in the rest of Holland can understand Frisian which is related to the Irish language(!)

When you grow up watching Dick Clark and Don Cornelius give interviews it makes this one cringe worthy. Tavares always was a class act, brought up right.
