Without a doubt, Thrice has consistently been the most significant band to me. It's eerie to see how parallel my life runs with Thrice. I grew up in Irvine just a few minutes from where they went to high school and first formed and Identity Crisis / Illusion of Safety hit me right as I was in punk phase in middle school as my first avenue into loving music in general. Now, the Biblical themes in their recent albums really stick with me as my own faith has deepened in recent years. Looking forward to their concert in NYC in June!
This song sounds fkin amazing!! I'm just here listening to it over and over trying to imagine Dustin's vocals on top. These guys didn't miss a beat. Thrice is back!
Man, how can it be possible that all the members of this band always make music in a way that I love, with this inexplicable melodic connection between each other.
this is insane. im soo soo happy. y'all have been my favorite band since 2006, and i can never get enough! thank you so much for existing and sharing your talent with the world.
+Xmari0hX Thrice fans are getting older, OG fans are approaching or over 30. So dad rock will become a pretty good description very soon, if not already.
Godspeed, guys. The music you make is so much closer to those who listen to it, than most music and most listeners. You've always done something different, and it's friggin awesome.
Thrice your guys music helped me through such tough parts of my life ! I want to thank you guys for putting out such great music im sure im not the only fan who feels this but your music def touched this individual right here and help give me the mind set to fight through the tough times THANK YOU
Haha, I feel so ridiculous. Im watching that clip for the 10th time and although its interesting to hear what they are saying I mainly do that because of these awesome second-long snippets of music in there. Cant wait, its just been too long since the last Thrice-album!
Been a fan since Identity Crisis sometime around 2002 when I was a senior in high school. Stopped caring when Vheissu was released, but I'm down to give you guys another chance!
+jc matias Sounds like heavy post rock. I got some Caspian vibes from it, especially after listening to Dust and Disquiet......... please I need this in my life now.
It would have been really weird to walk into a coffee shop and be served by Eddie from one of my favorite bands. I don't know how I'd have handled it, probably poorly.
"Working in a coffee shop..." wow really? wtf did they not make any sort of cash to just sit back and relax for a year? if that's the case, fuck it's sad that some idiots make millions with trash music
So am I, but you'd think a guy playing in a relatively famous band (concert in NYC was sold out and completely packed June 16th) wouldn't need to work these kind of jobs.
The band got very liberal with their spending afterwards. Dustin spent all his money on leather diaper bags, Teppei bought dozens of Panda Express restaurants, Riley bought a drum set made out of whale bones, and Ed purchased a bass crafted out of 100 year old fettucini pasta.
OR maybe he just wanted to keep from being/getting bored... I know a few people who have money & don't NEED to work, but they do it to keep from going stir crazy. Plus, a coffee shop would be a good place to keep you occupied & stay social with people & allow you to keep your mind off of it as a result... That's what I think it more than likely was, not that he was actually "broke"
One of the few bands that ACTUALLY come back from a break and actually come back stronger and better in a allegorical music theme. Amazing job

I fell in love all over again
I can't listen to these instrumentals without losing my mind! Need more!!!
This song sounds fkin amazing!! I'm just here listening to it over and over trying to imagine Dustin's vocals on top. These guys didn't miss a beat. Thrice is back!

Bring on the flood of a new generation of thrice fans!!!!! As a thrice fan from eons ago Im sure there will be many more too come 🌞
0:52 omg that riff. Sounds like Vheissu mixed with the fire ep, so stoked!!!!
After hearing those little pieces of new songs I just can't wait to hear the rest! So thrilled!
Somewhat relieved after this. All the little clips sounded great!
that song holy shit
The song in the background is holy shit crazy. Please keep it on the CD. Reminds me of the Fire EP a bit.

I'm glad you boys are back. Even if you decide to play dad-rock I'll be there with you.
+Xmari0hX Thrice fans are getting older, OG fans are approaching or over 30. So dad rock will become a pretty good description very soon, if not already.
Let me be the first to say: Welcome back, boys. We all missed you so much!
Your fans are stoaked!!! I saw you in July 2010 in Az and you made my life by playing your amazing music...can't wait to hear more of your art
I'm stoked lol
Godspeed, guys. The music you make is so much closer to those who listen to it, than most music and most listeners. You've always done something different, and it's friggin awesome.
Pumped to see you guys in June!!
Thrice your guys music helped me through such tough parts of my life ! I want to thank you guys for putting out such great music im sure im not the only fan who feels this but your music def touched this individual right here and help give me the mind set to fight through the tough times THANK YOU
this album is sick. to have a hiatus and come back with that.. damnnn!
that first song in the background is sick.
+ThatKrackerTv Pretty sure it is all the same song in background. Could be wrong about the last chunk but I'm pretty sure.
Please come to UT. we love you here :D
wow!
I'm so happy that you're back!
so pumped you guys are back! cant wait to hear the whole album... and thank you for what you do and the beautiful music you make

Haha, I feel so ridiculous.

Come back to Utah!
awesome
I bet all who were saying that thrice lost their sound sure feel dumb now. That new song sounds sick.
Oh, that little bits of music... holy shit, sounds so freaking good! Cant fucking wait for that record, aaaaah :)
I can't believe I just found out that this album existed. I had no idea they got back together.
Been a fan since Identity Crisis sometime around 2002 when I was a senior in high school. Stopped caring when Vheissu was released, but I'm down to give you guys another chance!
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials Oh holy shit, youre missing out on so much if you dont really give stuff like the Alchemy Index a chance. So freaking good.
Never leave us again please, thx
anybody else like the fact it was brand new that inspired the fact to get back into the studio
I sense the masterpiece underneath
You made farewell tour shirts. I though they were done.
I swear I'm trying to understand what they are saying but I'm too busy paying attention on this FÓCKEN SONG.
+jc matias +1.
Dude I know ! it sounds super heavy and that baritone is JUNKY!
***** hell yea
+jc matias Sounds like heavy post rock. I got some Caspian vibes from it, especially after listening to Dust and Disquiet......... please I need this in my life now.
I just got a Thricerection
The drug is back!
That vocalless track of "Death from Above," sounds way better than what's on the album.
They were at a Brand New show? Can they get anymore awesome?
#ThriceForLife #Superfamily
Fuck yeah
It would have been really weird to walk into a coffee shop and be served by Eddie from one of my favorite bands. I don't know how I'd have handled it, probably poorly.
Anyone know who that guy in studio (presumably the producer of the new record) with them was?
+Nathan Marquardt I believe he's Eric Palmquist, according to Riley's interview on Noise Creators. :)
Those guitars sound so sludgy and awesome.
i tought album will be shitty because of the first release but thankfully that was wrong :)
Eddie working at a coffee shop 😳
Song sounds a bit like a Minus the Bear/Pelican/Tool combo.
I can get behind that!
HAAAAAAAAAA
Eddie was working at a coffee shop? lol, whut?
That song in the background sounds good but average, seems like Beggars 2 is coming.
"Working in a coffee shop..." wow really? wtf did they not make any sort of cash to just sit back and relax for a year? if that's the case, fuck it's sad that some idiots make millions with trash music
Dude I was making close to 15 an hour plus almost 100 in cash tips per day working at a coffee shop. good ass money

Dabomb1237 Should've hired Trump as a consultant, he'd save some of it for the hair make overs
