Pro Tip: When taping off, always use the tape's edge to set your line and remember to always pull the tape off in the direction of the surface once gelling occurs.
EasyTabrizi hot coat has surfacing agent added to the laminating resin so that u can sand it. Laminating resin isnt very sandable and remains tacky if surfacing agent isnt added.
Question, since you put the cloth on top then more coats, the repairs will not be flush to the rest of the board correct? and why is it called a hot coat? nice video.
@@JusticeConstantine I think that he was attempting to use music throughout and for it to have been "ducked" when speaking such as how a public address system works like at the mall, on a cruise ship or wherever you may hear background music that has random announcements.
Basting .....its just an extra coat off resin ,a barrier if you will to get rid of unsightly weave .It protects the integrity of the original repair when sanding .Its optional .
you cant even see where the repair was! if finish coat is now called HOT COAT, your other coats are now called the COLD COAT and of coarse you need a WARM COAT. W.T.F.
The voume of the sound fluctuates a lot, sometimes entirely fading out. The music is distracting, irrelvant, and makes the audio even more difficult to follow. You use several terms as if your audience is familiar with them and surfboard repair. I suggest you redo the video or delete it.
Great video. Shows how a pro fixes a surfboard. End result was awesome🤙
A few things they forgot to include that you need to repair a board properly and that is ......wait for it ...
Talent ,skill and experience .
audio engineering on point
The best part of that board is your Ding repair.

Hello hat is the difference between Q-cell vs microspheres? thanks i love your videos
!!
I just cut the foam off in a square glue a new foam block on......Re shape glass and done.but this works too.
Good video, but you really have to work on your audio man.
Awesome vid. Thanks for making it...
Thanks for the video man!
Is polyester resin good to glue together a broken in half board or it is better to use epoxy? thanks
The fins are in boxes aren't they? I would take fins out to keep from having to work around them when doing the tail. Just sayin. Thx for the video.
He said it was an outdated system which they can’t fired replacements for and didn’t want to break anything
I didn't understand the hotcoat. Is it just another layer of resin after sanding? Are you hotcoating twice?

What type of fiberglass cloth did you use?
Please, I have a question
I have a water leak inside the my surfboard
Is there a way to remove it
Thank you
Cut the area where the water came in and put the board in a room with air conditioning.
It works very well 👍
What kit do you guys recommend on Amazon?
So can I use the same resin for the q-cell, fiberglass, and hot-coat? I’ve got an entire paddleboard to fix up.
q-cell, yes, fiberglass, yes, hot-coat, no, you need to get sanding resin or add sanding catalyst to the original resin to make it a sanding resin.
Brett Maddox I’m informed I need EPOXY, not resin, because resin will eat up the inner foam core.
Is epoxy sandable?
@@chrisz.9974 yes it is! there is also a additive for you to mix in it to make it easy to sand.

How did you modify the screen sander to stick to the rubber block?
what is the other stuff your adding besides Qcell
great comment but what sanding block did you use i wanna buy one
yea where do you get the 40 grit block
The music is from the original edit. It sounds like they used a feature through RUclips that silences the music to avoid Copy right issues.
whats with the random bits of music lol?
I think he was listening to music coming out of his laptop at the same time he was recording his voice over on the same computer.

What weight of fiberglass cloth are you using?
Looks like 4oz, it's not too thick so it definitely isn't 6oz
+Random Outdoors isn't 8oz* typing too quick
Thanks for the video but what was the deal with that random music? That was really hard to endure. But thank you for the video!!
what is a paste coat?
Basting .....its just an extra coat off resin ,a barrier if you will to get rid of unsightly weave .It protects the integrity of the original repair when sanding .Its optional .
Also known as a cheater coat. Adds thickness to the resin so you have more to sand with.
Cool.
But,
Wear a dust mask!
más fácil quitar las quillas y te da más espacio para trabajar!!
Great video and content, get those old boards back in the water.
They don't even bother to reply to comments. Not going to ask questions.
Pro Tip: Always tape off ;p
I know Woodglut has the best woodworking plans.
