But I don't think the developers are thinking of any particular moment in the war, since you can see both early and late war equipment. The vehicles are from the late war but the small arms (especially the German ones) are early war.

The Maginot Line was a solid plan but didn't account for the Belgian treacherous cowardice and the German armor units high mobility under a revolutionary new form of organization developed by Heinz Guderian and carefully described in his book "Achtung! Panzer" that I happen to have read.

@@LtRiot That's an after edited part of the video. There's a programme when editing your footage you can zoom in more, nearly every RUclipsr uses it. Also it helps that your graphics are set in a way that everything is not a blurry mess but rather a sharper image.
Well the person on the other end of the rifle goes through no suffering, unless the guy shooting misses and blows off an entire arm or leg. As long as the shooter tries to aim at the chest or head, its perfectly fine and dandy.
Panzerbüshe 39: There is no kill like overkill, who needs a hit marker when you so thoroughly splatter your enemy that you couldn’t miss the cloud that forms when you score a hit? The boys is a silly weapon, the 5 round clip just proves the British don’t have confidence in killing everything in one shot.
Increasing the magazine capacity also increases the rate of fire. Do not forget that these rifles were created to fight against armored vehicles. The higher the rate of fire, the faster you will put the armored vehicle out of action, the less your colleagues will kill this armored vehicle. It can be noted that in the USSR at the beginning of the great Patriotic War, there were two systems of anti-tank guns - PTRD (Degtyarev) and PTRS (Simonov). The PTRD was single-shot, and the PTRS had a clip (not a magazine) for 5 rounds.
Fun fact about the PzB39, unlike most other AT rifles, instead of using the a big, heavy bullet, the PzB uses a really fast, normal sized bullet, this in turn results in the gun having a super flat trajectory and nearly zero travel time. For reference, an 7.92x57mm Mauser(the stand are has muzzle velocity (on Wikipedia) about 2700 FPS, the 7.92x94mm Patronen has a muzzle velocity of 3800 FPS.
Some of the stuff you scream are the same as the ones I hear in CoD 3. Its so cool hearing what those Germans were screaming are legit German words and not random stuff put to together to make Germans look like intimidating enemies.

Probably horrified, a lot of the earlier generation don't seem to understand the disconnect between real and simulated violence. I love Post Scriptum, but I am well aware that I dont have the fortitude for real combat. Even if I did, it wouldn't be enjoyable at all, not at all like a game.

In the 30s, when most of these AT rifles were designed, Tanks Armor was still thin enough to where man portable rifle(albeit on the limit of man portable) could be penetrated. After the beginning of WW2, tank armor became too thick to be penetrated by a man-portable AT rifle. Even though AT rifle were unable to penetrate the armor, they could still hit weak spots like the Tracks and possible the rear armor and could be used against lighter armor vehicles(APC, Armored Cars) and unarmored vehicles as well. The PTRS and PTRD rifles are still seen today in the Ukraine conflict since these guns can (according to the guys who use them) penetrate the Armor of APCs. Although rocket launchers replaced ATRs in destroying armor, they still had utility.

the interesting thing about the round is that it has the cartrige of a 13.25mm shell from the old Tankgewehr with the smaller 7.92mm projectile, giving it extremely high muzzle velocity allowing it to penetrate over 25mm of tank steel at a 60° angle with ease.
There is an nice Bug with the Panzergun, If you Change the Mag with R instead of loading an new Round with Leftclick, you have infinite Ammo cause you can shoot even when the chamber is empty
This gun was 7.92mm calibre just with a huge cartridge and loads of powder, right? I wonder if it would really do thaaat much damage to soft targets...

This thing has the ballistic arc of a actual standard issue rifle. In game rifles' arcs force you to adjust for distance too much.

I expected it to be a 13 or 14mm round. Nope basically an 8mm ultra mag. Seems to work on infantry.
