Good overview. Thank you. I wish Coachman put the same quality & options into their B+ products - I.e. cabinetry, porcelain toilet, fixtures (they still need a pulldown sprayer on all of their kitchen sink faucets), 12V AC, convection microwave, upholstery, lithium batteries, solar, large inverter, etc.
Thanks for watching!!! Every van is different and every set up is different. We don't have the Lithium as we do winter camping. So we work of the new low noise generator! So we can run ours forever until the gas tank is empty as it pulls from the van tank. Thanks for watching How to Have fun Outdoors!!
We love our 2020 li3 beyond 22c.! Nick is the best also! Went to Indiana this year to the factory and was treated extra special! Too bad I been working a lot this year but will try my best to make it up there for the coachman show next year .
Until Nick Comments, he did tell us Ram has the best availability and price point. After he gets the ram chassis it is another 10-12 weeks on the build. When we visited the plant, most of the van were Rams (but that changes all the time also). Ford has the biggest issue with a lack of chips. But Nick is working with Ford to try to get more units as early as possible. I can tell you, they are all over it. They are doing the best they can.
Everything is pretty cool.... talks are pretty cool but then where the people eat in the van and where do they work... in Galleria as shown here ??? No front lounge or table option..😀😀🤔🤔
Well I was talking for Galleria... The most expensive offering in class B from Coachmen... and premium product. I also read, Coachmen is now a Warren Buffett's Berkshire company... So people's expectations would be on higher side..!!! No one would throw in 150 grand just like that... 🙂🙂🙂
Excellent video and interview. We are actually getting an Embassy RV, but the Coachmen line is very high on our list of really great builds for reasonable prices. Unlike many manufacturers, who's prices have just gone through the roof for little or no build quality improvements, Coachmen has stepped up to the plate and really supported their customers, designing excellent layouts and improving builds every day. Thanks for all the HONEST info on the delays and issues too... shows real integrity!
The Dodge chassis is far behind the Ford, and decades behind the Mercedes. No adaptive cruise control which makes driving long distances more tiring. The drivers seating position barely tilts back enough to sit comfortably pushing you over the steering wheel. To tilt it a bit more the entire seat tilts. I’m 5’6” with a 28” inseam and barely had enough room in the drivers seat. The steering wheel moves in and out but does not tilt. So you have a more horizontal steering wheel than the more vertical ones we are used to in all cars and the Mercedes and Ford vans. The dashboard navigation screen is ridiculously small and looks like ten year old technology. It lacks Apple car play or Android auto. The one thing I found with the Dodge is that it is quick and Nimble and can park most anywhere. The transmission is rough and the vehicle is a jerk a minute drive. The Dodge chassis desperately needs to be updated to at least 2020 standards. They may call it a Dodge but it really is a Fiat. The line of Fiat Ducato full-size vans are sold as Ram ProMaster vans in North America.
We love Ford also. But Ram does have a better price point and for some buyers that is key. We tell everyone, the real benefit of the vans is to get outside, have fun, and create some great memories! Class B vans are great for work life balance!
@@HowToHaveFunOutdoors Another great comparison video on Coachmen. I want to ask, what would you recommend if the 2024 Nova 20D FWD is $20,000 cheaper than the 2024 Beyond 22D AWD? Would you still suggest going with the Beyond? I'm in that dilemma...
@@6JWB9 We would always pick the Beyond. It is worth the difference long term. We use the AWD in winter and travel, etc. But we understand your point on price.
@@HowToHaveFunOutdoors Thanks for your honest opinion. Finally, I'm leaning towards to 2024 Nova 20D w/ Pop-Top now though.. I definitely need some more sleeping space for my family... and the Beyond doesn't have Pop-Top yet... 😅

Really enjoy this video BUT Tommy, could you please not interrupt so much. You keep asking Nick to talk and then you jump in and takeover the conversation. The video is supposed to be about Nick explaining things. Thanks
I understand. Wasn’t trying to be rude but I have watched enough of the rv videos and it is a learning curve. Most time with videos where somebody is really trying to learn something it makes it harder to really learn. Questions are good. I have a Beyond ordered, Lord knows when I will get it. 😊 thanks
Great video with very helpful information. Thank you for sharing. Someone mentioned that component supply issue has been improved. If we order a Beyond Li3 now, what is the current lead time? Thx.
Thanks for watching How To Have Fun Outdoors! The limiting factor on lead time is Ford. we just got an update from GM of Coachmen that cant give a lead time right now because of the supply of vans. They did highlight all new orders will be on the AWD Ford vs a 2 wheel drive. We have the AWD and love it. I would guess 4-6 months to be safe from order. But no one can give a solid lead time at the moment. The Beyond is a great product!
@@HowToHaveFunOutdoors Thank you for your reply. We ordered a Beyond 22C Li3 last month (Dec. 2021). Dealer said the deliver time would be March to April. Seems sort of match what you mentioned, or maybe too good to be true?
Hey Nick, you forgot one important thing in the RB layout, the option to make the twin beds into one big bed!!!!! Who the F…. Designed the twin beds without the option to make it into one big bed. Big mistake!!!!
Thanks for watching philly! I can't speak for Nick, but every layout has it advantages and disadvantages. Galleria has the most options with 4 layouts, Beyond with 3. We went with the 22C because we wanted the bigger bed and we love it!
I posted this also on the FB group - Anyone know what the thought process was in deciding to install the Coleman 110 AC on the Nova, rather than the 12V AC as in the Beyond & Galleria? Pros/cons?
Hi Larry, thanks for watching!! Just an FYI, you can order on the beyond the 110 or the 12V. Not sure if this is the same on the Nova. We have the 110 AC and love it. Works great. If you are plugged in it works great. If not, the new quit generator works great. The 12V is ideal if you have the Lithium system. We live in NH and winter camp, so we decided not to go with Lithium. If we lived in the south, and did not winter ski, we would have went with the lithium and the 12V. Like we tell everyone in our 11 lessons and 11 days video do alotnof research. Lots of pros and cons for every layout and class B options. I know this may not answer your question completely, but we thought it might help. One more point. The new 12V is quieter inside but loader outside. Fun fact.
@@HowToHaveFunOutdoors Thanks for your reply. We have the new Nova 20C with Li3 on order. The 12V AC is not even an option. Although I think the 110V AC will be just fine, I am still curious as to why they decided against the 12V on the Nova.
Great video!
Thanks!
I hopefully going to be getting a beyond soon
