Genghis is one of the nicest leaders in the game. He never backstabs me. If it werent for him allways attacking my city state allies he would be the perfect ally. But no one is perfect i guess.
Once upon a time, i played a game as Poland. My allies were Russia, Germany, China, Byzantium, and Persia. Genghis Khan (whose borders were touching mine), and Shaka Zulu spawned next to me. Me and the Khan were not friends, since i had recently defeated him in a naval war in his attempt to capture Poznan. I was in the Industrial age, and i saw a message "Genghis Khan has entered the Atomic age." 1 minute later, i deleted my game and all of the proof it happened.

He was very cunning and smart. The major blemish on his record is the murder of his half-brother, but beyond that he was a relatively humane leader for the brutal times and cultural context (ever-shifting Mongolian tribal intrigue).
@Akkmul He had ALL power to take cities, but he did it with minimum losses in his army. Moreover he was the only conqueror who tried to win with minimal losses of enemy's army, because after win, he joined them. The Mongolian army was an army of 90% ex-enemies. A lot of people of nomad tribes joined to Chengis Khan voluntarily, despite they had own khans.
Anyone who claimed to have kicked this guy's ass in the comments played 1) a game with a difficulty less than Emperor or 2) against an AI who doesn't know how to maximize the potentials of Keshiks and Khans.
In most of my experiences, never let this guy become an empire if he is on your continent. It's to either destroy or block him from possible expansion opportunities. I find the second option more beneficial and satisfying, because he is one the most loyal allies in the game. At any time he starts to get stronger knock him down a peg before it's too late, his allies are usually the second people he destroys.

Song Dynasty - "Oh no...."
-Bütün Moğollar gök gürültüsü ve şimşekten korkup kaçar. Sen neden kaçmadın?
- Benim saklanacak yerim kalmadı.
Genghis is one of the nicest leaders in the game. He never backstabs me.
If it werent for him allways attacking my city state allies he would be the perfect ally. But no one is perfect i guess.
Well... I just pay him in gold to leave those city-states. Genghis is suprisingly happy with such resolution.
I mostly do that to but i don't want to negotiate with terrorist even if they are nice to me
Warmongering with Keshik horde is pure fun
What did we learn from Mongol history, kids?
NEVER
EVER
EVER
KILL
MONGOL
ENVOYS
Like the Abbasids did yeah that was nasty business
Kutuz and Baybars spilit mongol envoys in two, destroyed Mongol army and captured some mongol girls😉
At this point even the horse is angry
I was once stuck between Genghis and Attilla on an island. I quit the game half way through when they started declaring war on everyone.
I'm always pals with Mongolia, for some reason they're always extremely loyal to me, even when I'm at war with the rest of the world.
Ironic, I've never actually heard this. Genghis Khan is one of the few leaders I KNOW that I can trust to have my back for the entire game.
If I see him settling near my borders, I just restart :)
Me: *Breathes*
Genghis: Would you like a Decleration of Friendship?
Makes me start a new game with Mongols and create a horde!
I love mongolian musics
I love how vast his empire was, you can see that by the butthurt opinions of him in certain parts of the world while others praise him.
Here Come the Mongols!
The Mongolian Rape Train doesn't have any fucking brakes!!!
Noobhero78 Choo Choo Bitches!
Mr. Worldwide

noobhero21 - Reynold Sanity
Really strong energy in this music
China: Huh, where have all the city-states gone?
*Mongol War Theme begins playing*
China: ........fuck.
A Most *Exceptional* War Theme...
Genghis Khan: Chinii suld udur chini irj dee!
Wu Zetian: {notices Keshiks} GODDAMN MONGORRIAAAN! How come everytime us Chinese try to build a shity wall the stupid Mongorian have to come break it down!
Genghis: Uuniig daichin shig shidverl'ye!!
Wu: Chunhuo, wo yao ba nimen kaiteng po du!!
arai arai
Boroldaj Lewicki mada mada
He was very cunning and smart. The major blemish on his record is the murder of his half-brother, but beyond that he was a relatively humane leader for the brutal times and cultural context (ever-shifting Mongolian tribal intrigue).
Medieval Eurasia: Why do I hear boss music?
Damn, those cellos and basses are powerful. It reminds me of the Game of Thrones soundtrack.
At first I (Austria) was scared of him due to history. But then it turned out he likes my economy a lot so we became friends instantly.
In the game, if you can befriend Genghis Khan, he generally won't attack you
the soundtrack you get when shit get real
POV: You are the Shah of a Central Asian nation and you just disgraced some nearby tribal warlord's diplomats
That tribe was not just an average tribe, they were an exception.
best serie of the gaming history ... I LOVE CIV SO MUCH ....
I am surprised that there is not Khuummii singing in this, but it is a great song.
Mongolian music is so epic, especially when the bowed instrument joins in and then the kargyaa...It would make me fear The Great Khan too
Plays as the Chinese
Next thirty minutes found out the Mongolians just owned the world
...
Next ten seconds...
End game screen.
Just one more turn...
Whenever I had him on one of my maps on Civ V, he always declared war on me, lategame or earlygame.
"Hey susage man"
@Akkmul He had ALL power to take cities, but he did it with minimum losses in his army.
I love playing as the Mongols. Keshiks stronk.
Or Every other AI in the game teamed up on him when he was technologically behind with swordsmen against riflemen
It takes a special kind of man to have your dying wish be the utter annihilation of your childhood enemies and everyone related to them.
"Every time ush Chinese buird a wall, shtupid Mongorians have to come and break it down!"

(South Park reference)
which episode?
It became irrelevant when you mentioned 'South Park'. Ahaha...
***** I like the way you think, btw are you Russian or a Mongol/Tarter/Uzbek? I can't tell.
Mr. Worldwide Buryat and Chuvash. Half and half)
***** That is interesting, I am half Irish an half Malian(West African).
Unless you're playing as Japan on an island you're in for a tough time
"I'm gonna kick your ass so hard our village raids will look like a fucking joke."
