This was a truly wholesome stream. I’m glad that Moona opened up to Iofi about her insecurities. Repressing those feelings wouldn’t have been good for her. Moreover, it was very sweet of our favorite alien to not only boost her morale but also console her as well. It was genuinely heartwarming to watch. Bless her kind soul. Everyone deserves to have a friend/husband like Iofi. Someone that gives you the courage to pursue your endeavors when you feel self-doubt. Someone that provides you emotional support whenever you’re going through tough times. Someone that loves you dearly and will always be there for you no matter what.
I've been watching Hololive's streams for about 1.5 years now without knowing any Japanese and I can totally confirm that love transcends the language barrier. It may definitely sometimes be easier and more enjoyable when you can understand everything, but when you really love something none of that matters. To this day I still watch JP streams with my broken Japanglish even if HoloEN has stolen a good chunk of my heart, because that's what love is, to simply enjoy the company of others regardless of barriers.
I'm really really glad that Hololive has become an universal sensation, and I hope to see more beautiful stories of love smashing boundaries like Moona's and Pekora's friendship in the future. Cheers to all of Hololive, JP, ID, EN, Stars, and even CN.

For sure!! ive been watching for probably almost a year now, and even though my japanese is incredibly basic and I don’t understand much, i can still enjoy their streams. one of my favourite streams was fubuki playing a short hike, it was so calming and i had such a good time even though i only understood a few words.
ive grown up with one language, and i only really consumed english media. hololive has really opened my eyes. its comforting, knowing there are all these people going through life like anyone else, completely separate, yet brought together because we are all human.

Watch without subtitles and practice the listening skill, that's how I got good at it

For me it's almost the same especially when the person talk so fast and their flow really fluent I kinda can miss something and interpreted it wrong so yeah some people may have struggle for the sound or how the person talking.
I was also like you, just listen to more English and i'm sure it'll get better. For me listening to different accents also help

What Pekomoon is is a precursor to Hololive EN. It showed that someone outside of JP can be friends with JP despite the language barrier. In a way, it was different than Coco. Coco, even broken Japanese, had a basic understanding of Japanese. Meanwhile Moona had to start more or less from scratch. While Coco embraced it, Moona felt insecure about it. They both walked different paths to become a bridge to HoloJP, but I'm glad they did it. Moona always feels insecure about things but you'll never see a bigger smile on Moona's face when she's with Pekora. I hope they do more collabs in the future!

it made me sad when gura fanboys bullied iofi during & after the among us collab for "being a bad translator", cause she's one of the best translators i've ever seen, almost anyone would have a hard time when there's like 8 people talking at once and they were just salty that gura lost :/

I can totally relate with Moona here. I always have my own problem with people because of the language barrier. I want to communicate with them, but I don't know about their native tongue. Still, I want to be with those kind of people. My only option I have is to have my own interpreter present to start up a conversation with those people

I for example am half German and half Spanish nearly every summer we would travel to Spain where my Spanish part of the family lives.
And I have tons of friends there and I never learned Spanish till after I became an adult. We were always somehow able to communicate even if we had to use hands and feet.
I wanted to learn Spanish for a long time but you know school, clubs, friends, gaming didn't leave me a ton of time to learn a third language. My University was giving free courses for different level speakers. So I selected one. And I think practical exp is important when learning a language. And the only friend I still had somewhat interaction with was a girl (I wasn't in Spain for 6 or so years, school you know I tried to get good grades for university)
The next time I was traveling there, I could speak Spanish decently, but I sadly had to visit her grave. She had an accident.
All of us needs an Iofi in our lives. Seriously, Ive never seen such a supportive person in my life (family aside, thanks Mom and Dad!).

Well, I have to admit, Moona's experience with JP collab kinda burdened her.
And unlike the collabs before where it started as strangers, this time they are kinda friends and spend a lot of time together. She doesn't want to disappoint Pekora's expectation and ruin the relationship they have now. Then again, she also wants to talk directly like actual friends so it's really conflicting.
Everyone in Hololive just oozes sweetness and warmth just about every stream, it's just beautiful to watch.

I had no idea Moona was a part of Hololive Indonesia. This is basically the prequel arc of Moona solidifying her position as the CEO of Usada construction. The more the Hololive lore onion gets pealed the more I love this community. And she has such wholesome friends.
