- The EPIC FINALE to "My 1st Endurance Race" series. This is Ep 3 of this crazy experience of driving a GT86 race car for 8 hours against a 35 car field of home-built race cars. Make no mistake, these drivers and teams were among some of the most competitive I've raced against, and I had an absolute blast - even with the brake failure!
I prepared for this race on the simulator, and it allowed me to get right up to speed in a car/track I'd never driven before. It really is a testament to how far simulator software has come. Huge thanks to @ApexV2R and @SuellioAlmeida for this opportunity!

My WORST FEAR is to have brake failure while driving.
Not the kind that fades away and you can do something about it.
The kind that catches you off-guard and sends you into the wall.
Uurgh.
I’ve experienced one myself, and yes- it’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me. There is no worse heart in throat kinda feeling 😬

I desperately want to get into racing. I have no idea where to start. And I’m sure money is a limiting factor. I’m even okay if I just get to experience the track one day. I feel like if I don’t do this, try it, I’ll never feel complete. Any advice, any pointers, dash my dreams now if this isn’t something you can do without lots of money, any words or advice. Thanks!
Id suggest you to get into go kart. Its cheaper and hella satisfying
start with competing in karts, and get some experience.After get your Racing License and your a race car driver!
Try simracing. It’s way cheaper and you can hone a lot of skills with telemetry.
@@my_key a high end sim racing setup is more than a beater car irl … im not saying sim racing is bad i myself have one but if i would restart id get a shell and build a drift car aha

This is the kind of racing I do. Its absolutely the best! Its challenging, fast and comes with such a great community. Also, completely different from my karting days.

What brake pads were you using that couldn't finish an 8 hour race? I'm going to guess there were Gloc R10/Carbotech XP10. Those are known to not finish races. =/
Yes, I believe they were carbotechs, which we knew were problematic. Unfortunately, they were the only available pads we could source!
I've seen it a lot in drifting but if you heat a tire up and let it cool down several times in a row it will chunk off really cuickly.

Hey I want to get into racing but idk how you make money to do this sport or where to go from after karting.
I was driving once in Porsche Racing Simulator, and i was pretty good at it.But my parents dont want to buy me anything for sim racing, do you have any tips for convincing my parents?

So your team has 2 drivers. Do you get to drive both? I didn’t know a team can have 2 cars in endurance racing.
