    This is the best explanation of the game I’ve watched. The flow of the video and the and the content made me understand how the game works.
    Thanks so much.

    Top tier video. Love the dedication that goes in to making something as clear and crisp as this.
    And Orleans is really great. The "handel" expansion is a must buy tho.

    I really appreciate this video. It shows of Orleans quite well. I had already described it to friends as "Quacks of Quedlinburg meets Village" but it looks even more apt than I realized. With the new print coming out from Capstone games, I will be sure to pick it up!

    Yet another wonderfully done teach Ryan. I dare say it is even better than the master Rodney's video. I always appreciate both of your channels so much. So many hours of reading and rereading disorganized manuals saved. But I think you're a little more succinct and there's a little more humor, creativity, and thought put into your videos. Thanks again. Hope you keep doing more. Because I have too many games I have still yet to play!

    Can't believe I wasn't already subscribed because his is a really good "How to Play" video. I just got his game and have watched several long videos that taught me a fraction of what I've gleaned here. Now subbed and Liked. Thank you!

    For anyone buying the last edition from DLP games, which supports 5 players already - they changed the setup a little from this video's version, but failed to update the text of the instructions in the rulebook. That 14th citizen tile no longer just gets left on the table - there's a spot for it printed on the map side of the board. It's the one you get for building the most trading houses.

    • @michaelzinda95
      @michaelzinda95 4 года назад

      @@NightsAroundaTable I had assumed that you could only put a token out if you could complete the action in the space you were placing them. I didn't know that you could assign them to get them out of your market to complete the action on a later turn, and a friend brought it up but I couldn't find the answer somehow. I also didn't know you could free up assigned tokens by paying to free them. Finding things is rule books is apparently a serious weakness on my part.

    • @NightsAroundaTable
      @NightsAroundaTable  4 года назад +1

      @@michaelzinda95 No biggie - i think i played 4 or 5 games before i found the bit about freeing up "trapped" characters on the back page of the rulebook, and only as i was studying up to make this video!

    Hey man. Love your channel. All of your content is top stuff.
    I just have one comment to make. It is rather a suggestion for organizing the videos on your page. You often make many types of videos for each game. That is awesome. I do however find it a bit messy to navigate on your channel. If I was running the page I would tag each title like this: "Orleans: How to Survive the Plague", "Orleans: How to play" etc.
    I notice you make cool thumbnails to help the viewer. I do however think it would improve your channel to make it easier to find what you look for. What do you think about my remark?

    • @NightsAroundaTable
      @NightsAroundaTable  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for your feedback, Tom. They're automatically added when you enable a certain setting, but you don't have control over how *many* mid-roll ads they put in. You CAN remove some after the fact, so i took one out. No idea why it's doubling up on the same ad though - that must be down to their ad inventory.

  • @Bachpat

    Hey, I really enjoy your videos. Here's a friendly tip though... If you don't name your videos in a more descriptive way (e.g. "How to play: Orleans" they won't show up properly in searches and RUclips won't reference them. Meaning lower views overall from non-subscribers. I like the cheeky titles, but they're going to do you a disservice!

    • @NightsAroundaTable
      @NightsAroundaTable  4 года назад +1

      You would think so, but my view counts have actually seen an uptick since i stopped using the textbook titles you’re suggesting. The title is just one piece of metadata the algorithm used to recommend a video. There’s also the thumbnail, the tags, the transcript, the description, the geographic location, and the video game tie-in (if applicable). And the game name and video style show up in many of those.
