@@francescakim8763 You'll get to that level once you play 2-3 songs after that one. I played Saens (poorly) and then moved on to Sir Elgar's concerto and some others before finally trying this one again and playing something that didn't pain my heart! Believe me, everyone struggles at first (unless you're Mozart). You'll get to that point when you will, but it will take some time.
You are perhaps my new favorite cellist. You are obviously also a fan of Rostropovich. You have his heart plus your own. Beautiful! Be you! Music with heart is such a pleasure to listen to. Thank you.
Why on earth would 47 people down vote this? There is absolute evil in this world, smdh. Anne Richardson, you play absolutely beautifully. I'm a professional cellist for over 40 years... I know what I'm talking about.
Connor Chen of course there is a pattern, but to hit every note that fast with that wonderful and clean intonation starts to become difficult. Plus, everything was in tune, and it sounded nice, not just a bunch of screeches. Pattern is an important part but to actually make it sound nicely you have to focus on other key parts as well. Fingering, Bowing, intonation, etc.
Ludwika Buczyńska Well, in my opinion it's the same thing as with any other piece of music - it's difficult until you play it well :) I think you agree with me.
What a great performance by both musicians! I like it as much as the original orchestral version! By the way, who did the transcription for the piano part? How do you transcribe an entire orchestra for piano? I know Franz Liszt did this for many of Beethoven symphonies, but I know it's not easy to do.
So beautiful... when I watch and listen to this concerto, I just cannot be interrupted
she makes it look so easy omg
Ella A true! I’m playing this and this is extra hard!
Omg I know right I’m like “when will I get to that level T-T” I just started this and I literally only know like 2-3 lines lol

Hi!

Anne Richardson, you play absolutely beautifully. I'm a professional cellist for over 40 years... I know what I'm talking about.
Me too - I think she's the most wonderful cellist I've heard in years. What a profound musical talent! And no BS for the camera.
Wow, that section at 2:44 is pretty difficult with the intonation and everything but she completely nailed it!
Trust me, I am working on this concerto myself and that part is very hard

Connor Chen Able to play something with right notes and quality are the two completely different levels
Yea it’s actually rly simple it’s just finger patterns
Owen Li Owen Li its simple to understand but hard to execute, especially the shift from 4th position to the C major chord
WOW!! such a talented young lady! this is indeed a surprising find! i am yet to listen to this rendition many times
