Lee's philosophy, skills, and demeanor explain why he's a bass legend and one of history's most respected and recorded bassists!!! Thank you for a fantastic interview!

Leland is the consummate interviewee. The reason he’s the most recorded Bassist in the world is because he creates the perfect part within minutes, makes everyone laugh and feel at ease, leaves his ego at home, prepares well and always helps to make everything run smoothly. His RUclips Channel can teach you things about being a Bassist that you never even thought about!
Great interview. As a longtime fan of Lee and all of the IMF musicians I have one comment, it's not going to be popular but here goes. You guys are GREAT talents save for one thing, vocals. The IMF could really benefit from a strong front person vocalist to compliment your instrumental virtuosity. Back to bass. Lee's comments re chop till you drop players, right on! Iove watching the flash player for a while but when it comes to listening to a song give me substance over style any day of the week. So many iconic bass lines are often rather simple but have the IT factor. The song wouldn't be the song without that line. Think about it, I'll bet you what sticks in your mind isn't 1/16ths slapped into submission but a more basic flow. As many times as I've listened to Lee, with even some same stories, your interview was fresh and very entertaining and informative.
will do have been a fan since the magazines i think 2009 or something like that whatever chris squire issue with long distance run around was my first copy :D@@BassMusicianMagazine

You are correct, Charles Larkey played on Tapestry. He did however play bass on her greatest hits album. I get them mixed up as they have a lot of the same songs. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
…I walk away richer in knowledge after listening to this guy talk. After all he’s been at it long enough to know, right? We have two ears and one mouth; use accordingly. I see many of the bass clips he’s mentioned - cats who can play circles around me. I usually conclude by saying at the end of each clip I see; buy a guitar.
Suggestion, make a trailer of a video/movie. Promote it. There are too many bands coming to play in cities, and you don't know about it until AFTER they perform. Then everyone posts their cell phone clips thinking that is a way to promote the band. It's not. Unless you are going to religiously follow one band and know their every move, you can't know when they tour in a specific city. Somehow, promoters (or should I say "promolders"?) are using an outdated way to get followers. They use social media which was good 10-20 years ago when there was only one RUclips, only one Twitter, only one Facebook. But now we have many services online which can host member videos, interviews, and sell merchandise. Use that to your advantage. Share a trailer/teaser to something so people can know about it. I don't want to see "This was a great BLAH BLAH BLAH". I want to see "This will be an amazing BLAH BLAH BLAH". Think future tense, F-U-T-U-R-E. Then, there can be a here and now where we are a part of the music as a listener. Or, do you prefer the couch potato stance? Wait until it is done, then click on the tube after work? Let's get out of the rut guys and promote future events like they used to do on radio stations. Video killed the radio star, and internet is killing the concert goers.
You will want to make that suggestion to Magnolia Pictures who did the film. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
