Ive been getting into buying knives recently just as something to do/look forward to arriving in the mail and this channel has been very useful for seeing a ton of detailed videos of knives.
I have one and really like it. The two hand opening doesn't bother me. It's a nice departure from the same old titanium framelock flippers. Can't beat the value either.
Love the design. Glad it’s not a mini. I have no problem ensuring a slick open/close via roller bearings...even with a nail Nick design. Very Japanese/Pukko silhouette IMHO. Minimalist chic. Blue steel liners are gorgeous. Rc 59-60. I just placed my order at White Mountain...with the code it’s $35 delivered. Wasn’t planning on a new knife but Ruike is one of my favorites (this will be Ruike #5 for me) and I couldn’t help myself. Nice vid BTW.
I make knives i make liner locks also. BUT for a cheap BUT well made store bought knife you can not go wrong with a Ruike.
Thanks LTK, I have one in the mail.Already got 865, but this is so different in a cool way. Your the only one who showed us it can be gravity flipped. I'm stoked!Harry
I'm going to get one, it reminds me of one of my favorite knives the cold steel hold out series, but the hold outs are discontinued so I don't use it much anymore. As far as it being two hand open, it's not a big deal to me, I've got 40 something flippers and thumb opening knives so this'll be a nice change of pace.
I like the cleaness of the design
Love the roller bearings but seems completely useless on a knife that that can only be opened with 2 hands.
Great design and execution. Want. Kinda reminds me of the Boker Kwaiken knives which I've always liked.
I just ordered one and I can’t wait to get it in hand! I need to watch you gravity flick it more so I learn to do it right. 👍🏻
Thanks LTK.
This one is a win, for sure!
This was the first time I remember hearing roller bearings. Would be nice to see it in a flipper.
I've got a Real Steel 7832 G5 front flipper with those same bearings. They feel better than ceramic bearings on knives that cost 5X as much. Too bad that knife is so slippery that it is really useless.
Ah the metamorph! I did a dremel treatment on it making it way more grippy. Killed the value, but I'm not selling it anytime soon anyway, and it made it a hell of a lot more usable.
Real Steel S571 Pro used roller bearings too. Some custom makers use them also. They are usually used with flippers.
OK I like it need one
In Germany this little thing could be perfect for EDC as it doesnt count as ”Einhandmesser“
Looks good, but I absolutely do not do liner locks. I'm thinking of getting the RUIKE P801 with frame lock though. Thanks for the video my Bladed Brother ⚔️
Wow, that's a gentlemen's folder with a slight tactical edge right there. Love the blue, love the Ruike quality. Also, that 852 sounds EXACTLY the same as the Realsteel T101 (Thor). Got that deep clack when locking. That is a tank of a knife!
I'm absolutely destroyed the 865 is not ambidextrous. looks so nice and sleek and minimal. Ticking all the boxes for me.. I'm gutted :(
Great! I just ordered it!
Two questions:
Do you think that if i open it up i will be able to remount it and it will be the same ?
Do you think that if i disassemble it i will be able to clean that shitty blue line under the scales? (i hate it)
one idea could be maybe to add one of those thumb studs or a thumb disc that are detachable
This seems like an amazing knife and I would buy a couple of them if it wasn’t for it having a nail nick as the opening method
Very nice
Nice looking knife.
For $40 that looks like a pretty sweet little knife!
I'm going to pick me one of them up
LTK I wish the p848 was a flipper knife with that blade shape.
Nail nick...are we going back in time? Looks good but not doing two handed opening
Really redundant that you can buy an SRM plus a Ruike plus a Real Steel for less than the price of one of Benchmade's cheaper knives, AND be sure that the build quality is A+ 🧐
Nice knife. I would rather have no choil than decorative, non functional ones like other companies that otherwise produce good folders.
LTK- Nice blade, but don't understand the use of roller bearings with a nail nick. Seems like a flipper or thumb stud would make more sense. This could have just used washers.
Whow.
Looks like a pukko style blade. Im gonna pass on this one. Only if had a thumb stud
no flipper = no bueno hermano
Seriously Impressive, Wow. I like it.
